What late Margret Thacher will do if she was Prime Minister of UK?

The liberal approach is, let them shoot at you, wait, wait and if you shoot, careful with the amount of ammunition you use.

Irrelevant when the topic is the neocon approach.

Ahhh, but can you prove that factually or is it the typical CNN talking points.

There is no way to prove something other than factually. To answer your question, yes, simply listen to him and look at his track record.

They’re still pirates. They’re still bad people.

No, not all Iranians are bad people.

The USA has the largest economy in the world at around 19 Trillion. China is not even close at 12 Trillion and everyone else is very, very small. The American State of California has a larger economy than EVERY EU member other than Germany. The USA also has the largest military in the world so any end of the empire talk is sort of ignorant. The Iranians may be pirates but they are not Somali pirates.

Nation State pirates have resources. Oil tankers are extremely vulnerable and you can't just play shoot um' up. This is a situation that the neocon mindset of shoot first is poorly suited.

The most reasonable response of course did not come to the minds of British statesmen: let go the tanker UK forces commandeered at Gibraltar. Iran is not a member of EU and it is not obliged to observe the EU sanctions against Syria.

The best indicators of the weakening of the UK and US's respective roles on the world stages can be found looking at the appalling 'leadership' in both places. Two rudderless, tired states. Moscow and Beijing are smiling. History will record this era as one in which major empire shifts happened. Baby boomers in both the US and UK have to admit they had it pretty good.
