THIS! Bintaro nailed it. I'm British, but I disagree with the path my country has taken. The EU is not responsible for the UK's indecision. They should reject it. Why delay? Delay means that the UK is working for a new deal. It isn't. So the EU is not under any obligation to do anything. Don't extend it. To the UK: In or out? pick a side and roll with it. But leave means leave.

I find it strange that May is adamant that there will not be a second referendum and continually repeats the phrase "the wishes of the British people must be respected". At the same time she keeps bringing her deadbeat deal back to parliament to be voted on again and again: next week it will be back for the third time. Why doesn't May respect the wishes of parliament?

The speaker should block any further votes on May's deal until and unless it is changed in a meaningful way. It's time to put an end to May's contempt of parliament.

In 2016 roughly 97% of them voted to leave. They deserve everything they're gonna get!

Brexiters didn't even consider the Irish border question, which is categorically unsolvable. So the only options are: 1. status quo; 2. NI joining the Republic economically though not politically; 3. NI joining the Republic fully. Naturally there are proponents and opponents of each, but discussing anything else is a complete waste of time (ref: the last 2 1/2 years).

A delay is not up to UK only - any delay still needs to be approved by all 27 other countries of the EU. But imagine for a moment:

What if one EU Country A decides that UK's dragging their feet is only hurting Country A's economy with all the uncertainty in the business markets - and thus Country A votes against any further delay

Then it's no longer up to UK how it leaves the EU - it'd be a hard Brexit immediately whether the UK likes it or not

The UK people have been betrayed by their own government.
