Thank you Bernie for bringing the Democrats to look at more options for healthcare, but thank you most of all for acknowledging this election is about life and death.

Hopefully your fervent followers will agree.

Vote blue, no matter who.

so the election comes down to the choice between two geriatric white male candidates whose interests represent the 1% - not those of the vast majority of Americans. Thats just great.

I agree. The main difference is I think Biden understands his personal limitations and would include in his WH experts he'd rely on for advice. And it's pretty unlikely Biden would have a cult of followers convinced of his direct links to the putative 'highest power/s'.

Mr Noidal... you should do a little research on the Cuban medical system...

Many US citizens would love to a health system as good!

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Had no chance against Trump anyways. Same as Biden.

Something that really irked me about him was his claim that healthcare is a human right. The practice of medicine and healing is an acquired skill. No one has a "right" to the skills and knowledge of another. If my pipes are plugged up, is having a plumber at my house a human right because I lack the skills to fix my own pipes?

Yes, because having a medical condition taken care of is the exact equivalent of having pipes unplugged. A perfect equivalent, said no rational adult ever.

And can you imagine the covid19 pandemic with him as president:

Yes, he wouldn’t have spent two months downplaying the issue or constantly contradicting the medical experts, which is what Donny has done and continues to do.

we'd all be standing in line outside ration centers with allowance tickets like they do down in Cuba

No. Do cursory research before posting, please.

Well, with all this doom and gloom around us, finally some good news.

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

Sure.

And you honestly believe that would happen in the third largest country in the world that produces so much food? Makes perfect sense.

Can't imagine how that is under a global pandemic, especially with Bernie, a self-admitted Castro admirer, as president at the same time.

Not much different than it is now given Sanders has never said, “Let’s do it like Castro.”

You are over-simplifying the world so it fits into the conservative binary worldview. Sophisticated.

Thanks for your messages, Bernie. Even the GOP working class would agree with you if they were allowed to actually hear your messages.

Or Bernie agrees with the free market as well as the private sector.

Sanders got what he wanted; adulation from his indoctrinated lemming base, some time in the national political spotlight and mostly lots and lots of money.

-11 ( +5 / -16 )

Well, with Biden as opposition, looks like Trump will win. I’ll vote for Biden, but I don’t have much confidence.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

So the voters of the U.S. get to choose between two candidates who are both  Pro-Business, Anti-Worker, and Pro-Military Industrial Complex. Both candidates have questions concerning their Mental Health and both candidates have been accused of Sexual Assault. What a choice, like having to choose between being shot to death or stabbed to death.

Bernie was the best the communists had to offer. Better him than the others - he'd be the least likely guy to initiate a Bolshevik style killing. I won't say he was a good option, clearly he was not, but among the bad options he was the least evil, at least if he got in you could probably live afterwards.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Bernie is a true American patriot who served the people well. As a Jewish-American social democrat, he was “a prophet not without honor except in his own country" (i.e., among all the right-wing "politically correct" forces that hold the national psyche tenaciously in thrall). The writing is clearly on the wall for all the world to see: e pluribus dufus. Trump vs Biden = a broken democracy, or as the Nobel Bard once sang, America, "bury the rag deep in your face, for now's the time for your tears."

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Bernie was the best the communists had to offer.

Trump remains the 'leader' Russian and other 'national socialists' around the globe want. In his three years in office, Trump's done more to increase the wealth and power (see big oil and gas, big defense, big finance, among other bigs) of the globe's 'elite' and their corporations than any other US president.

Trump remains the 'leader' Russian and other 'national socialists' around the globe want.

I think the Democrats already tried that one and best you to it.

In his three years in office, Trump's done more to increase the wealth and power (see big oil and gas, big defense, big finance, among other bigs) of the globe's 'elite' and their corporations than any other US president.

So basically, you’re saying people should use bicycles to go to work. What about the companies that want to use reusable energy or green energy? How much are they these liberal elites banking and how much does it cost to even get there?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

@TexasA&M

........ got what he wanted; adulation from his indoctrinated lemming base, some time in the national political spotlight and mostly lots and lots of money.

Those are harsh words for Trump and his supporters, but I do agree!

0 ( +4 / -4 )

@bas4fSo basically, you’re saying people should use bicycles to go to work

Not what I'm saying, but not a bad idea. I have never said stop using fossil fuels; I've always said burn less of it. But I guess partisan extremists who can only see existence as made up of two competing poles, either black or white, wouldn't understand middle ground, gray-ish proposals.

I personally can’t wait to see the mental gymnastics AOC and friends will use to justify endorsing Biden.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

personally can’t wait to see the mental gymnastics AOC and friends will use to justify endorsing Biden.

Simple. They care about their constituents and their country so they'll say anyone but Trump, his corrupt family, and his fellow global elitists.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

...can’t wait to see the mental gymnastics AOC and friends will use to justify endorsing Biden.

Given the precarious state of Biden's mental faculties, there is an outside chance that he will be a no-show in November. Then a real contender would be able to enter the arena to do battle with the bloated orange scarecrow.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Sanders quits

Good.

Vote blue, no matter who.

Now that's a bad strategy. For starters that would bring the downfall of our great country.

Second, what, vote Nancy Pelosi back in for an 18th term just because she's a Democrat? After she criticized the president for shutting down travel with China? Are you friggin' kidding?

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

@Serrano

Vote blue, no matter who.

Now that's a bad strategy. For starters that would bring the downfall of our great country.

You just described the Republican playbook. The RNC won't even allow another candidate to run for the Republican nomination.

Will you be angry if Democrats began to behave like Republicans?

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Not what I'm saying, but not a bad idea. I have never said stop using fossil fuels; I've always said burn less of it.

We’re doing that now as a matter of fact, but then again, no one is working either.

But with the massive coronavirus hit against American with possible 15% unemployment, a recession and hundreds of thousands dead, the November picture is no longer so clear.

I vehemently disagree, given Biden’s rapid mental decline, it’s very clear.

People who decide not to vote will then be supporting another Trump. Is that what they want?

I ain’t voting for Biden that’s for sure. So I do want Trump.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

@bas4fI vehemently disagree, given Biden’s rapid mental decline, it’s very clear.

Speaking of mental decline, the transcript from Trump speaking to his main advisor Hannity should make anyone who cares about 'stability' worry. Some samples:

"So, you know, things are happening. It's a -- it's -- I haven't seen bad. I've not seen bad."

"And I was -- I was excoriated by the fake news and by the press, by these people that are bad people. They're just bad people. They don't -- they cannot love our country, I can tell you."

"Once you get it -- I mean, if you're in the wrong group, if you're -- if you have a medical condition, if you're older -- it seems that older is certainly prime time for this -- this plague, this horrible virus."

@Bass

I ain’t voting for Biden that’s for sure. So I do want Trump.

Most people make political decisions on the basis of social identities and partisan loyalties, not an honest examination of reality.

So, what does it say about a person who chooses a candidate known globally for lying, engaging in shady business practices and refusing to read?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

this wont be the case by November. seriously, hundreds of thousands dead? based on what?

Bernie bros are more likely to vote for Trump than Biden. 10% in 2016, 15% now based on media reports.

possible 15% unemployment, a recession and hundreds of thousands dead, the November picture is no longer so clear.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

The presidential election is now a contest between the Russian hackers and the Chinese/North Korean hackers. Nothing whatsoever to do with the American voters -- they cast their votes, and then are oblivious to how their votes are altered. Ignorance is bliss!

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

You just described the Republican playbook. The RNC won't even allow another candidate to run for the Republican nomination.

Will you be angry if Democrats began to behave like Republicans?

Another candidate did run against Trump. He lost. Google is your friend. Sometimes...

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Bernie, Biden, and Trump are all roughly the same age. But Biden sticks out as being the only one mentally incapable of doing any job, let alone becoming president of the US. The other two are mentally present at least.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

@Blacklabel

Taking his leftover donation money and going to buy another house.

Wow! Or he can just channel that government money into his personal business like Trump and family!

0 ( +2 / -2 )

@Darknuts

Another candidate did run against Trump. He lost. Google is your friend. Sometimes...

You are right!

However, a measure explicitly calling for Trump to be re-nominated by the Republican Party as its presidential candidate going into 2020 failed to gain traction. According to RNC rules, a challenger could emerge if any candidate receives support from a majority of party delegates in at least five states. National committee member, Jevon O.A. Williams, reportedly pushed unsuccessfully for a rules change to cut off that potential “loophole.”

> Former U.S. senator Jeff Flake of Arizona cited the show of support by the RNC for Trump as a reason to not issue his own challenge to the president, accusing the committee of trying to “squelch” any opposition to Trump’s re-election campaign.
