So in other words....

he got NOTHING that wasn't already in the last bill he rejected, except for a smackdown by the people.

Good job, Art of the Deal.

15 ( +19 / -4 )

I have to study it

Also known as watching the reaction on Fox News and reading Ann Coulter’s tweets.

14 ( +15 / -1 )

Trump has to take the deal. The Dems have him cornered.

Game over.

Weak. Couldn't get the money from Mexico, couldn't get it from America. He just ended up looking stupid for the past two months. What an entirely useless president.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

And don't forget that a while ago, he could have gotten all $25B for his wall in exchange for a resolution for the Dreamers.

Once again, Trump snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

The Art of the Deal, indeed.

"I don't think you're going to see a shutdown," Trump said, but he added: "If you did have it, it's the Democrats' fault."

Donny forgets that he has already been very clear that a shutdown is the fault of a weak president that is unable to cut a deal. He's trying to contradict himself now.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Oh well, is there anything he really likes ....

... I mean besides taking care of his own interests, the daily junk food, the daily messaging, the time spent doing nothing besides watching TV, besides blaming others for what he was unable to achieve, and so on.

Not a good example for others to follow, I'd say!

8 ( +8 / -0 )

You guys can scream Hannity! and Coulter! at the top of your lungs all you want. No one cares.

Demonstrably false. Donny obviously does or we wouldn't have had a government shutdown.

And no, its going to be better in 7 months. It will still be as unpopular then as it is now.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Basic math. If you are told you will only get a $1 bonus at work, any amount in excess of that $1 can still be a “garbage” bonus (didn’t get what you need or deserve) but also a win (got more than you were told).

Aren’t liberals the ones always complaining why is everything on the “right” always black and white.

Anyway this is just step one. Much more to come. Good day.

Your fellow conservative icons don't see it that way - are they right?

Sean Hannity, Fox News

Position on deal: Oppose.

“On this new so-called compromise, I’m getting details: $1.3 billion?” he said on his show Monday. “Not even a wall, a barrier? I’m going to tell this tonight — we will get back into this tomorrow — any Republican that supports this garbage compromise, you will have to explain.”

Laura Ingraham, Fox News

Position on deal: Oppose.

Over the course of several tweets, Ingraham called the reported deal “pathetic” and complained that the proposal did not “give one cent for the wall.”

Ann Coulter

Position on deal: Oppose.

Before Coulter herself weighed in directly on the deal, she retweeted more opponents of it than apparent supporters. She spent most of Monday evening complaining that Trump’s campaign rally in El Paso included signs calling on Trump to “finish” building the wall despite no new wall having been constructed.

On Tuesday, she offered a verdict: The proposal was Trump’s “Yellow New Deal,” given that he was “afraid to fight” for the wall.

Ann calling Donnie a coward - to add to "lunatic", "liar", and "loser" - priceless...

*El Paso officials are furious that Trump Sr. claimed in his State of the Union address that the city was one of the most dangerous in the nation until a border barrier was built. *In fact, crime statistics show that El Paso has been one of the country’s safest cities for three decades. The border fence wasn’t built until 2008.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/twitter-razzes-donald-jr-repeats-012042923.html

Can you say, "This immigration issue is a manufactured crisis"?

ROFL! Smh. HAR! Oh my . . . Kudos! Lol.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Love how Trumpophiles say Trump got money for the wall he promised but he only got money for barriers. Somehow Dishonest Donny won.

This is what happens when you hitch your wagon to a compulsive liar that is a horrible businessperson (remember, if he hadn't tried to be a businessperson and had just held the land he inherited, he'd be richer now).

7 ( +8 / -1 )

And this is the guy we are sending to negotiate with North Korea. Lovely.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Lincoln, calm down. Love Hannity and Coulter, but they don’t have to worry about a shutdown, again, something is better than nothing, people can say what they want, but Nancy was going to give nothing at first, so now Trump can roll that ball and raise more funds. But answer me this, what about the poor DACA recipients? What did they get?

Calm down? That's a good suggestion for the Trumpers who are spinning in a circle over their far right icons dissing and humilating Trump...

But no dodging - you've done enough of that over the past several days - Are Coulter, Ingram and Hannity right? Is this deal "garbage", "pathetic", and is Trump "afraid to fight"?

And you still "love Coulter" when she called your President a "coward", a "lunatic", a "loser"? Is she right?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

1.375 billion for fencing, nothing for a wall - Pelosi won. If Trump signs this, it demonstrates he is weak and further demonstrates he is incompetent.

Accuracy is to Trumpophiles what music is to deaf people.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Trumplets just deal with it he lost out on this one end of story no need to spin it.....

7 ( +7 / -0 )

At a minimum we get 55 miles of wall from “only $1” Pelosi. Take it then call the emergency or reapportion funds for more. Then ask for more in 7 months in the next budget.

55mile of a 2000mile wall, at about 3% , Trumpsters dont realise that Trump doesnt have enough time in his presidency to get the funding required let alone finish his wall. Even if he magically got the funds the next POTUS can easily cancel any future building as a total waste of taxpyer money. I woudnt even place a bet that Trump will finish his wall ever.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

"I have to study it.,"

Trump study something. Anything. Doubtful. He spends the majority of his week on 'executive time' playing golf (paid for by US taxpayers @$US 1,000,000.++++ per day), rage tweeting and watching Fox'news'. Plus he's got beer hall rallies to lead. (How much do those cost taxpayers?) He'll just turn the 'study' duties over to little Stephen Miller and the other WH sycophants shilling for the .01%. Hehe har har ohmy He's like the Governor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2beJKmdbgs

6 ( +10 / -4 )

@serrnoTrump is in it for the long haul.

@bas4so no one got everything they wanted,

@blacklaebThe deal isn’t done

Sounds like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmInkxbvlCs

Trump's sea to shining sea 30 foot pre-cast concrete wall paid for by Mexico will NEVER happen.

Worrying that Trump was said to have listened to Roger Stone's (a man who glories in being a con-man) suggestion, and that dozens of millions of US Americans (most from the demographic-in-charge) actually believed him and actually still do.

A possible good thing to come from Trump's waste of time, effort and taxpayer moneys is seeing the legislative side come up with doable border security proposals. Maybe Trump spending most of his time on 'executive' time is best for the world.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Houses and countries are not equivalents which is why the law does not treat them the same. If you think they are, your guilty of a clear lack of intellectual sophistication.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Listening to Truml ramble through this was hilarious, and more proof of his utter stupidity.

“I’m not happy at all with this and I owned the last but down I never said I didn’t but I kneed and was proud if it and all we accomplished and we’re going to build a beautiful wall and they showed me some steel with rust and I was like what’s this? I’ve never had steel not painted and everyone agrees we need a wall and we’ve already started and we’re going to finish the wall and it’s beautiful and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and I’m always addidng and supplementing and am not happy with this and do t want a shutdowns nd it won’t be my fault it’ll be the Democrats’ if I don’t agree and we’re good with China... that’s thanks to US. We’re the greatest economy and we can afford the wall, and it’s not my fault. I’m not happy. I’m very happy with what we accomplished last time.”

6 ( +7 / -1 )

I'm not so sure about that. It's possible, but I don't see it happening with the current path.

I'm skeptical myself. In 2016, people hated Hillary, and hoped he wouldn't be bad, and even then he couldn't win the popular vote. In 2020, he is more hated, and he has proven to the people in the middle that he is incompetent. At this point, he's only left with the hardcore base. Of course, that will get him a significant number of votes. But I don't think it will be enough to get him the electoral college this time. It most definitely will not get him the popular vote - he's less popular now than he's ever been.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

All Trump is doing now is thinking of a way of telling his base that a humiliating loss is a victory,

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump is in it for the long haul.

A long haul for a short wall.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

You guys must have a lotta faith in Trump if you think the wall is getting built just because he said it would either way. You might have neglected to realize that he has broken just as many promises as kept already, and known to be a pathological liar. It's interesting to see that you have no clear hard argument this round though, not even an Obama reference or a Hillary jut. That's usually a sign of defeat I believe. One of the worst presidents looks weaker and more like the buffoon he his each day so far in 2019.

lincolnman: Your fellow conservative icons don't see it that way - are they right?

Fox skipped over the Ingraham, Hannity, and Coulter parts and decided the front page story should be this:

Big Show of Support: Rush Limbaugh gives blessing to possible border wall deal

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Why do you guys constantly take Trump at his word despite his lifetime of lies?

Amazing isn' it - such a paragon of journalistic integrity...

You guys sure care about these other conservative voices- but only when they have something negative to say about Trump.

No, we always think they're all far-right crazies - we're just consistent about it.

But the Trumpers - they call these folks "conservative icons" - those who speak the conservative truth...

Well, those icons have just described your President as a "lunatic", "pathetic" and a "coward"....

So what do you Trumpers think about that - are they correct? Do these icons speak the truth? Yes or no please...

5 ( +5 / -0 )

More winning or whining take your pick but on this one looks like Trump is Trumped once again....

5 ( +5 / -0 )

he had just given up

Yes, Trump is weak.

The longer our border stays open, the more I think Trump colluded with Russia.

(Ann Coulter Tweet)

5 ( +5 / -0 )

He needs the wall to stop the muderers from stealing his hamberders and his attempts to abolish civil rights.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Some would call that a **defeat.**

no a majority woud claim it since the majority of Americans polled blamed him for the shutdown

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Question for the Trumpers here....

Trump shut down the government for over 30 days causing tremendous damage and danger to our country, because he didn't get $5.7 billion funding for a wall....

Now 2 weeks after that shutdown, it looks like he'll accept $1.37 billion for a "fence", not a wall...

Why didn't he just accept this deal back in Dec and save the country from all the pain and damage from the shutdown?

Oh wait, he did - in fact he signaled he'd sign the Dec funding bill passed unanimously by the then Repub House and Senate that had no wall funding in it - until he was humilated by Coulter and Rush...

Donnie got played by his own conservative right-wingers - and what happened - he gets blamed for agreeing to the Dec deal, then gets blamed for the shutdown, now gets blamed for "caving" on the bilateral compromise...

Wow, so much "winning"...

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Wow, so much "winning"...

Yeah, he is literally the most inept president in the history of the US.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

No, not us, the Democrats think that they won this and in actuality no one won really, it’s all one big compromise.

You left out the word "garbage" - Hannity thinks its a "garbage compromise' - which really gets to the heart of the matter;

On the left, both politically and in the media, you have pretty much universal support for this compromise agreement.

On the right however, you have the Freedom Caucus in the House saying "no way", some Repub Senators criticizing it, and conservative media icons savaging it...

One side is unified and the other side fractured...

So Nancy and Chuck are sitting easy - and Donnie has to choose which far-right faction he sides with...and then get the humiliation and insults from the side he didn't choose...

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Trump has a 52% approval rate.

The win that matters now is the Oval Office for a 2nd term and to replace the dead RBG.

Also; even after the shutdown, his approval rate with independents was 87% after his SOTU.

Still not tired of winning.

I'm amazed of the amount of delusion here. First Trump screwed up many peoples investment in their retirement funds by starting a trade war.

Second he screwed over the middle class by passing a tax cut that majority is benefitting the wealthy, and as many are finding out, passed the buck to the middle class. You'd be amazed at how many people are finding out they're owing thousands to the IRS this year, instead of breaking even or getting returns (It's not the wealthy that's for sure).

Third the federal workers opinion of him tanked quite hard since he put them out of a paycheck and messed over a lot of lives with his government shutdown for the "wall" that the US citizens are expected to pay for.

As an independent, I see no redeeming qualities from the idiot. And apparantly so are a lot of people (indepedents and democrats included) #Trumpregrets. Only Trumpeteers appear to be masochists for their dear leader.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Trump is in it for the long haul.

But he sure took it in the shorts this time...

The wall will be finished one way or the other.

Yesterday Trumpers here were calling this a "clear win" - then Sean Hannity came on and said it was a "garbage compromise" - then things went silent, except for one poster here who said it "was a garbage deal and a win". LOL...

Donnie got less than half the money he wanted and less than 5% of the wall - oh my, what a cave....

So what are you going to do Donnie - take the deal and suffer more humiliation from Ann and Rush, or start "Trump Shutdown II", and put the country through all that pain again?

It looks about 50-50 so far in far right wing crazyland...wonder which crazy Donnie will listen to...

4 ( +5 / -1 )

We really don't care about the other conservative voices. What we are interested in is how Trump's rank and file supporters that constantly slobber over those conservative voices feel about those voices calling Trump names.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Trump has said there are "pots of money." He clearly doesn't understand government funding. Congress allocates money for specific purposes, most of which are jealously guarded by politicians whose constituency they will benefit. If Trump tries to shift funds away from the purpose Congress established, he'll find himself slapped with lawsuits in a New York minute.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Yes, he made Dems come out and officially endorse the needs of illegals over American citizens - but we knew that already.

Sorry, but you can't really make that claim anymore, nor was it ever valid. Dems just agreed (again) to a border security money deal, this time with no Daca.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Trump will sign. Check mate.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Oh my...

During her visit, the agency welded a plaque to the fence to mark "the completion of the first section of President Donald Trump's border wall," even though it was a replacement project.

Alternative facts, same old lies. Thanks for the giggles @Serrano

4 ( +4 / -0 )

You guys don't know the difference between caving and compromising. Pelosi didn't cave, the original bill had more money on it. She lowered it to 1$ to push Trump's buttons. The proposal is a show of bipartisanship and compromise but you guys seem to be afraid of those two words.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

That's not an answer - that's another dodge and excuse...

Is Ann Coulter a conservative icon and do conservative icons speak the conservative truth - yes or no?

No, it was an answer, stop water boarding.

That's just another dodge - again, the answer is yes or no...

She has called Trump a "lunatic", "liar", and "loser" - do you agree?

Hannity has called this deal "Garbage" and Ingram called it "pathetic" - do you agree?

Lincoln once again to calm you down and for the record, I don’t agree with her and I feel the deal is garbage and pathetic, but better than nothing, now I don’t know what the dreamers are doing, but we did establish that the Democrats are not their friends and could give a darn about the recipients, they get nothing.

That doesn't answer the questions - you keep dodging;

If you say above that you don't agree with her, then is she still a conservative icon? Does she speak the conservative truth? If so, then why isn't Trump a "lunatic"?

And if you say above the deal is "garbage and pathetic", how is it a "win?"

Here's one from one of your favortiate sites - Mark Levin is calling it a "cave", and Daniel Horowitz says it's a "disgrace", ...do you agree?

https://www.conservativereview.com/news/conservatives-balk-gop-border-deal-cave-keep-government-open/

Sure looks like a lot of conservatives bigwigs think Trump would be stupid and a traitor to support this bill....

4 ( +4 / -0 )

It’s the same thing. It keeps people out either way. Trump already said call it what you want, it doesn’t matter. Call it cotton candy if it keeps illegals out.

That's right - call it anything , even though Trump said "it will be a pre-cast concrete wall - boom, goes right up - I'm so good at building walls"...

Call it a fence, chicken wire, traffic cones, a line in the sand; we Trumpers don't care. Of course, last month it had to be a concrete wall and we shut down government just to prove it - but we lost then too...

We've been losing at lot lately...

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I'm not the one that was mouthing off about a wall only to change my tune to a barrier and then back to a wall before going back to a barrier. You guys are the ones emotionally invested in this nonsense, so you should be defining exactly what you want.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Amazing how the Dems were for a wall when Obama was president.

You know that if you make stuff up, it doesn't suddenly become real, even if you people in the bubble are telling each other it is.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Trump has a 52% approval rate.

No he doesn't.

Let's try to stick with reality please.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Well it's a concern for me, bass. Trump's negotiating style is to use leverage to make demands. He can't negotiate unless he has the upper hand, which isn't negotiating, it's just bullying. Anyone can win when they hold all the cards, and it's looking like Trump can't win when he's on an even playing field.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

And the lawsuits to block the "wall" (Is that what Trump promised, or did he promise barriers?) have begun:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/church-uses-religious-freedom-restoration-act-to-contest-trumps-new-wall-section-221341325.html

3 ( +3 / -0 )

"I already answered that question" despite not having answered it. Some posters don't realize we can go back through their old posts!

Another dodge about socialists.

Someone that alleges to use medical services on a non-existent base in Fukuoka would be benefitting from socialized medicine.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

But yes, I like Coulter, got all her books, but she’s a big mouth usurper,

Why is it unsurprising that you like a big mouth usurper?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

He's President. For 6 more years. No amount of bile or down-votes will change it.

I'm not so sure about that. It's possible, but I don't see it happening with the current path.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

So far I've got 15 thumbs-down on my first comment here which was simply stating facts.

Seems more like an opinion. There's no funding for the wall yet, so I don' know how you think its getting built. Not yet, anyways.

But I don't think it will be enough to get him the electoral college this time. It most definitely will not get him the popular vote - he's less popular now than he's ever been.

Of course, I think the dems could screw it up very easily. But it is true, Trump has only hurt his popularity among American voters and the electoral college alike. I'm fine with his base continuing their train of thought that everything is ok though.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Love Hannity and Coulter, but they don’t have to worry about a shutdown, again, something is better than nothing,

I wonder if Trumpsters will stick to this line if Trump refuses to sign.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

But no dodging - you've done enough of that over the past several days - Are Coulter, Ingram and Hannity right? Is this deal "garbage", "pathetic", and is Trump "afraid to fight"?

And you still "love Coulter" when she called your President a "coward", a "lunatic", a "loser"? Is she right?

No dodging, never. I answered the question more than enough times, it matters not what they think or say....remember the old, “sticks and stones?” But yes, I like Coulter, got all her books, but she’s a big mouth usurper, to be expected, that’s her, we get it. They can say what they want, Democrats said the lost outlandish things about Bush as well as Coulter, he never cared, Trump doesn’t care. Let Ann talk, she’s just angry that No one books her anymore on TV. Lol

That's not an answer - that's another dodge and excuse...

Is Ann Coulter a conservative icon and do conservative icons speak the conservative truth - yes or no?

She has called Trump a "lunatic", "liar", and "loser" - do you agree?

Hannity has called this deal "Garbage" and Ingram called it "pathetic" - do you agree?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

@serrano

Article mentions nothing more than some replacements and plans for projects with money they have received over the past two years (1.6 billion). Also, I should remind you that these plans are to erect previously designed and used fences and steel slats. We don't have plans, nor the funding for a wall yet. None of Trump's proposed walls have been built or funded by congress, yet. Maybe they'll get 55 miles if he signs this week.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

The last shutdown revealed how weak he actually is - 35 days of chaos, and nothing but pain to show for it. If he pulls another stunt like that, you are going to see the Senate start breaking ranks, and McConnell isn't going to be able to herd cats fast enough to stop them. If he holds his threatened vote on the Green Initiative after saying for 2 years that he will only allow bills on the Senate floor that the president will sign, he will no longer be able to use that excuse to protect Trump from a bill he will be forced to veto, or the possibility of an override. Except of course that the GOP has one set of rules for itself, and another for everyone else.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Ladies and gentlemen, President Trump on signing the border funding bill....

"Hey, all you Trumpers and Trumpettes out there - you know, my adoring flock...

Today, I signed the funding bill to build the wall - WE WON!

Well, actually I only got $1.37 of the $5.7 I asked for - less than half, and that will only fund 55 miles - out of 2000, and I know Mexico didn't pay for it - you are (not me, I'm in the Top 1%)...but it's a terrific deal, terrific...

Some of my friends in the conservative media are calling me "Caveman", a "Lunatic", "Pathetic" - come on guys and gals, even Nancy and Chuck don't insult and humiliate me like that...but I still love you, because if I didn't you'd turn on me and my base would all go to Lyin' Ted...

I was a little worried that maybe we'd get funding for all 2,000 miles, and that would put a real kink in my abilty to hire illegal immigrants at Mar-A-Lago and my golf courses - those illegals work real cheap...

But fear not dear faithful - we will "Finish The Wall" - mark my words, mark my words...."

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Yes, it does and I said for the record.

You dodged nine times, and that's on the record.

And for the record, you also dodged answering why Manafort, Gates, Flynn, Cohen, Stone, etc., etc., all lied about Russia when questioned, and why Trump, Don Jr, and Jared all lied about the meeting with the Russians at Trump Tower.

And if you say above the deal is "garbage and pathetic", how is it a "win?"

Because both sides got something, so it’s a win, but neither side got what they truly wanted as well.

That makes no sense - if something is garbage, then its garbage. If its pathetic, then it's pathetic. The conservative media and conservative members of the Freedom Caucus don't see it as a win at all - they think Trump would be a fool to sign it - that he had "caved". More evidence of the Great Conservative Civil War that the Trumpers here on JT are hiding their heads in the sand about... My conservative icon media personality just called my conservative icon President a "lunatic"...oh my...

Here's one from one of your favortiate sites - Mark Levin is calling it a "cave", and Daniel Horowitz says it's a "disgrace", ...do you agree?

No, I don’t agree and they get to have the right to voice their opinion, like Pelosi, these people aren't the President, so it doesn’t matter what they think, they are allowed to have an opinion, we can go through the list of Democrats, I have very strong opinions about every one of them, people say stuff all day and the pundits on either side say what they want.

You've said several times of these conservative media commentators; "it doesn't matter what they think", then why do conservatives live in the far right media bubble listening to their every word? Why do they call all these folks "conservative icons"? Why do they buy all their books and watch all their programs? You routinely post conservative links authored by these same people you just said "didn't matter". So what is it?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

You didn’t listen to Trump, I get it, most liberals don’t. He’s not happy, but it’s something he can work with, I agree.

He didn't say that...he didn't even agree to signing it yet...Or, are you his representative now?

t was a lousy deal, it didn’t cover ending mass chain migration, ending the visa lottery program, catch and release, and t completely secure the border. Would have been stupid for him to have signed it.

Pretty much unchanged now too, except it's less money. Wouldn't a normal person think that's even lousier? In fact, it allows immigrants to live outside the facilities while their cases are processed too.

No, not us, the Democrats think that they won this and in actuality no one won really, it’s all one big compromise.

You just said in your previous post that, you WON! lol Now you, say no one won...It is a compromise. Finally coming around. And it's positive for the country. Instead of just constantly both sides pushing back and forth.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

One cannot be tired of winning if one hasn't won much.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

If you oppose the U.S./Mexico border wall, but lock your door at night or even close it, you're guilty of clear hypocrisy.

And yet, even if you lock your door, burglars still are willing to break a window to get in. The wall is a waste of money because it's all about EGO. No true substance, just ego. Which is why people who can afford it, not only lock their door, but get a security system for any forced entry to their homes (aka improved border security funding to improve effectiveness).

3 ( +3 / -0 )

and thank you Mr Chump, for gutting environmental protections, giving tax breaks to the Top 1%,

...that provide jobs to the majority working class in some form or another.

You mean the illegal immigrant housekeepers and groundskeepers at Mar-A-Lago and his golf courses? Yea, I agree, he's providing a lot of jobs for them...

decreasing unemployment for illegal immigrants by hiring them at Mar-A-Lago and your golf courses,

....compared to the millions of illegals in CA and NY that’s pennies.

Yes, I agree, Trump is probably paying them pennies...scab wages....

empowering white supremacists (some are good people),

....compared to the racists and sexual predators the Dems have in just ONE State, supporting a radical group that wears black masks, fatigues and beats up people and destroys properties, endorses violence, a party that worshipped a former Senator that was the Grand Wizard of the Klan who was the idol and inspiration of so many Democrats.

"Some are good people"...

taking our national debt to $22 trillion (the highest in history),

Compared to the Socialist that want Medicare for all $3.2 trillion a year, renewable energy $450 billion a year, buildings with ZERO emissions $88-100,000 a home which comes to $1.4 trillion a year, factories, office buildings $5.6 million, if each one costs $500 million to retrofit that would add an additional ¥300 billion per year.

The $1.37 billion for the "fence" - coming out of working Americans pockets, not the Top 1%...thanks Mr Chump...

In other words if the Democrats ever get into power.....(would take a miracle at this point) it would completely blow everything and any debt every President combined has ever made.

Repubs and the balanced budget - wonder where that went?

and for cutting and running in Syria, against the advice of all your experienced wartime Generals..

The Same Generals That said we need to stay in Afghanistan and Iraq? Yes, Afghanistan after almost 20 years looks very prosperous and promising.

The same Generals that were "winning" - until they were undercut by Trump...you know, Cadet Bone Spurs who chickened out of his service...

See your posts at 3:46pm and 6:49 pm - which is correct?

Lock 'em up.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Wow, she called it a "yellow new deal" that won't get a wall. That's harsh.

To be fair, the far leftists criticized it as well. I guess that's called compromise. No wall, no Daca. That seems like the path we are on.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Is it a wall or a barrier? Would one of you Trumpologists explain this to us people who don't speak Trumponics?

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Wait - didn't Pelosi say she would approve only one dollar for the wall? She caved!

yeah she probably caved for that $1, she probably even paid for it out of her own pocket so the taxpayer wouldnt have to front the bill. $1 cave is far more acceptable than a $25billion wall. I love how deluded the Trump spinsters become when the see defeat as imminent. LOL

2 ( +3 / -1 )

and all these other premature and non productive childish attacks.

compared to all the Trump childish attacks on almost anybody I find this highly hypocritical.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

It's not a wall/barrier part, it's a barrier part. Choose one goal and stick with it instead of oscillating between wall and barrier.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trump does not get to unilaterally change the purpose of the funding, which means it's not for his wall, which means he lost.

Good thing DACA isn't going anywhere until the courts get through with it. That should be sometime after Trump's out of office. Tee Hee! HAR! Oh my . . . Kudos! ROFL. Smh. Lol.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

She was and now Trump will get the money, should he sign this deal at first she wasn’t going to give him any and now she is-WIN.

I'm confused how you consider it a win, but Trump doesn't. Isn't the title of this article, and everything he's said about it indicate a loss if he signs it? Or does the word win mean "giving into something you don't want to" to you? I see it as a compromise. Trump was offered more money without special Daca privileges originally but he refused to take it. Now he's getting less. I'm sorry, but you guys really must be doing your best to twist this into something positive. Which is good, you're gonna need a positive attitude the rest of his time in office to cope with what's going on.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Not what he wanted, bu it’s a startvand a stat is better than nothing.

Semi-gibberish but point taken. Is Trump going to be happy with that though? Does he have the temperament to be able get his wall brick by brick? He'll soon be twittering his way into a corner or shutting stuff down again when he doesn't get his way.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

22trillion in debt, what is 5billion? He was elected.

He was elected on the basis of Mexico paying that $5 billion.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Trump has a 52% approval rate

Where?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

It’s definitely a win because the predictions were, the Democrats weren’t going to bud an inch, so most definitely a win, not the kind the President or the Democrats wanted, but still a win, even marginal.

In December, pre-shutdown, the Democratic proposal was $1.6B for 65 miles of expanding and upgrading fencing along with other measures. No wall.

In February, after all the shutdown, etc... the 'compromise' is $1.4B for 55 miles of upgraded and expanded fencing. No wall.

So you're right, Bass. It was a win, even if a marginal one.

The Democrats shaved $200 million off what they had to offer.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

What worries me is that if getting 3% of wall is a victory then Trump and his supporters will think getting rid of 3% of North Korea’s nukes is a victory. These people are desperate for anything that can be called a “success” under Trump and KJI knows this by now.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

No, not us, the Democrats think that they won this and in actuality no one won really, it’s all one big compromise.

I completely agree. That said, why do you keep trying to spin it as a win?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

If Trump and his sycophants are cool with a fence now, let's get it built.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Thanks Bush II for getting us into two ways and a financial crisis. Thanks Obama for rescuing the country and kicking off today's bull market.

Mr President, Ann Coulter just said you're a lunatic and a coward...

No problem, we're winning....

Mr President, Hannity thinks your deal is "garbage"...

Always winning, always winning...

Mr President, many members of the conservative media say you "caved"...

So much winning...

Mr President, many are saying you could have got this deal in Jan before you shut down the government, saving us from all the pain and chaos...

We're win..., we're winn, we're winnin, I'm sorry, I can't say this BS any more...

....and thank you, Mr. Trump for cutting deregulations, lowering the tax code, decreasing unemployment to record numbers, especially in the Black community and raising the GDP to over 3% and waking it from a slumbering economy to a roaring one, not to mention getting us out of Syria.

...and thank you Mr Chump, for gutting environmental protections, giving tax breaks to the Top 1%, decreasing unemployment for illegal immigrants by hiring them at Mar-A-Lago and your golf courses, empowering white supremacists (some are good people), taking our national debt to $22 trillion (the highest in history), and for cutting and running in Syria, against the advice of all your experienced wartime Generals....

Yea, thanks a lot...Chump...

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Pelosi was very clear when she said nothing for a wall. The deal is very clear that there is no funding for the wall that Trump wants, which he defined as a concrete barrier and you all latched onto. Now that you've had your arses handed to you, you suddenly love barriers and are okay with no wall.

I think it's a compromise more than a loss, for both parties. But I think it's a loss for Trump, not his party included.

Not spinning, had Trump not get anything it would be a complete loss, that didn’t happen. Had it happened, yo cold say it’s a lost

It's certainly not a win either. It's a draw that represents a compromise, correct?

See, I don’t think so, if it were a loss, he wouldn’t get anything and that would have been catastrophic, but that didn’t happen. Not what he wanted, bu it’s a startvand a stat is better than nothing.

It is a start and better than nothing. It's the most like what democrats supported under Obama. A compromise.

You didn’t listen to Trump, I get it, most liberals don’t. He’s not happy, but it’s something he can work with, I agree.

I see it as a compromise.

I do as well. Neither side gets what they want, but a little something.

Trump was offered more money without special Daca privileges originally but he refused to take it.

It was a lousy deal, it didn’t cover ending mass chain migration, ending the visa lottery program, catch and release, and t completely secure the border. Would have been stupid for him to have signed it.

Now he's getting less.

And the Dems still didn’t get any major legislation through yet.

I'm sorry, but you guys really must be doing your best to twist this into something positive. Which is good, you're gonna need a positive attitude the rest of his time in office to cope with what's going on.

These people are desperate for anything that can be called a “success” under Trump and KJI knows this by now

Ha! The Democrats didn’t even get ANY legislation through so far and how long have they've been in office? So for Democrats power means to try in vain to stop Trump, but forget about legislating for the people and forget their constituents.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Calm down? That's a good suggestion for the Trumpers who are spinning in a circle over their far right icons dissing and humilating Trump...

They are fine, they just want the border secured, they don’t want to kill babies or take your cows away and make you eat green sludge.

Lol

One cannot be tired of winning if one hasn't won much.

The people: Mr. President, please stop, we can't take all this winning!

Trump: No, no, we have to keep WINNING!

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

22trillion in debt,...

Thanks a lot, Bush 2 and Obama ( for about half of that during those 16 years )

... what is 5billion?

Exactly, exactly!

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Trump blew it when he caved two weeks ago. He is obviously going to cave again. Yes, he made Dems come out and officially endorse the needs of illegals over American citizens - but we knew that already.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

1.375 billion for fencing, nothing for a wall

Whatever euphemism makes liberals happy, the main thing is, it is money for a barrier, however you want to call it would depend on the person and it would also depend on what Trump wants it to be since the Democrats said, it’s up to him, now that’s a win, maybe small, but a win nonetheless.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Trump does not get to unilaterally change the purpose of the funding,

Actually, he can, not to mention finding other sources to fill that gap-WIN.

Good thing DACA isn't going anywhere until the courts get through with it.

So then the recipients will be in limbo and knowing how the Dems failed them and miserably, still on limbo status-LOST

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Wow - look at these hateful comments.

Guess what?

He's President. For 6 more years. No amount of bile or down-votes will change it.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

That doesn't answer the questions

Yes, it does and I said for the record.

And if you say above the deal is "garbage and pathetic", how is it a "win?"

Because both sides got something, so it’s a win, but neither side got what they truly wanted as well.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

We really don't care about the other conservative voices. What we are interested in is how Trump's rank and file supporters that constantly slobber over those conservative voices feel about those voices calling Trump names.

We really don’t care about Socialists, they funny though. What was that again, everyone gets a wage even if they don’t work? Oh, Trump is going to have it so easy with these Marxists.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

It’s the same thing. It keeps people out either way. Trump already said call it what you want, it doesn’t matter. Call it cotton candy if it keeps illegals out.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Trump has a 52% approval rate.

The win that matters now is the Oval Office for a 2nd term and to replace the dead RBG.

Also; even after the shutdown, his approval rate with independents was 87% after his SOTU.

Still not tired of winning.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

If Trump and his sycophants are cool with a fence now, let's get it built.

Call it what you want, Chip. It's going to be built. And a good many of the drug smugglers will not be able to "ladder" over it. Isn't that good news?

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Well let’s wait and see the actual document. Seems the total amount may be 23 billion and that the 1 billion is only the wall/barrier part- not the total.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

There's no funding for the wall yet, so I don' know how you think its getting built.

Oh my...

Why is it unsurprising that you like a big mouth usurper?

You guys don’t seem to have a problem with AOC and her big mouth....

come on now....

That's not an answer - that's another dodge and excuse...

Is Ann Coulter a conservative icon and do conservative icons speak the conservative truth - yes or no?

No, it was an answer, stop water boarding.

From the Hill

It’s possible the deal could lose the votes of Democrats who think it does too little to restrict the number of immigrants detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“It's not what I wanted to see, but it represents the fact that we have a split” control of Congress, said Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (Ill.), who said he wants to see the final version before deciding how to vote.

Not everyone is happy, but again, something is better than nothing and you go from there..

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

*Trump's sea to shining sea 30 foot pre-cast concrete wall paid for by Mexico will NEVER happen. *

He just got money for 55 miles, it’s better than NOTHING and now he has the option of allocating the money from outer sources. Remember, Pelosi said, she’ll give $1 at first.

Worrying that Trump was said to have listened to Roger Stone's (a man who glories in being a con-man) suggestion, and that dozens of millions of US Americans (most from the demographic-in-charge) actually believed him and actually still do.

Seems like people are believing the Democrats so much, they’re starting to really regret what they’ve put in office.

A possible good thing to come from Trump's waste of time, effort and taxpayer moneys is seeing the legislative side come up with doable border security proposals. Maybe Trump spending most of his time on 'executive' time is best for the world.

So what’s the Democrats proposal and don’t say “technology.” Because according to the border patrol which for some reason, the Democrats don’t want to listen to, but want everyone to listen to the FBI (figure that one out) because if you don’t, you’re an ignorant fool.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Good day.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

You guys sure care about these other conservative voices- but only when they have something negative to say about Trump.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

Trump has to take the deal. The Dems have him cornered. Game over

Yeah, right, haha, more like it's game over for the Democrats in 2020, Super. Meantime, the wall is being built.

The Democrats are scared of a wall, because they know it would work, and they would get fewer votes.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Yes because whenever we do bipartisanship and compromise like in this case: liberals are running around screaming “he caved!” and all these other premature and non productive childish attacks.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

If you oppose the U.S./Mexico border wall, but lock your door at night or even close it, you're guilty of clear hypocrisy.

I am very willing to allow people into my home who respectfully ask for it, especially if they are cold or hungry or whatever. But they must obtain permission first, and they must come inside through a valid entry point -- specifically, my front door.

But if they have no permission and try to climb in through a window or force their way in through the door, I will be far less welcoming.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

Lincoln, calm down. Love Hannity and Coulter, but they don’t have to worry about a shutdown, again, something is better than nothing, people can say what they want, but Nancy was going to give nothing at first, so now Trump can roll that ball and raise more funds. But answer me this, what about the poor DACA recipients? What did they get?

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

That's not what I posted.

That you have too much time? Wow! Lol

All Trump is doing now is thinking of a way of telling his base that a humiliating loss is a victory,

No, actually, if he had just given up, then you could make that statement, but Pelosi said, she wasn’t going to give him ANYTHING and she did-WIN. Now he has something to work with, a foot in the door. Can’t fadult him for that, we know the Democrats could care less about border security or the influx of illegals. Heck, they don’t even care about sanctuary cities, but they support them. Ahhh...these people...

Some would call that a defeat.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

You guys can scream Hannity! and Coulter! at the top of your lungs all you want. No one cares.

At a minimum we get 55 miles of wall from “only $1” Pelosi. Take it then call the emergency or reapportion funds for more. Then ask for more in 7 months in the next budget.

-15 ( +3 / -18 )

Yes, Trump is weak

No, but Nancy One Dollar For The Wall Pelosi is.

-15 ( +0 / -15 )

Actually, that’s not quite true. Actually, the Republicans hate it even more, but the good thing is, it’s a start and now he can use whatever material he wants and doesn’t have to worry about caps being put on how many beds he can add to the detention centers. The Democrats still didn’t get anything for the DACA recipients, so no one got everything they wanted, both sides need to go over the details, but SOMETHING is always better than “nothing” there’s a lot of money out there, be resourceful and find additional funding somewhere else.

-16 ( +2 / -18 )

But it will have been previously funded by Dems at least once 7 months from now. Precedent.

Anyway like Trump said, wall is being built either way.

-16 ( +0 / -16 )

The deal isn’t done. If you listen, Trump has ways to get the rest of the needed money. I doubt they can build 55 miles and spend over 1 billion dollars by Oct 1st when new money comes anyway.

-17 ( +2 / -19 )

Trump is in it for the long haul. The wall will be finished one way or the other.
