Perhaps you could explain, instead of patronise? Thanks.

What, you understand that your frequent and extremely basic errors with English, e.g. "critical construction criticism" rather than "constructive criticism" make you look like someone who can barely read or write? That's not a comment on "the right," by the way, although your poorly-written comments would make me extremely embarrassed to be associated with you if I held similar political views.

Not surprising, as he really doesn't seem to understand my point at all.

False equivalency. We're speaking of a single far-right extremist which you're trying to equivocate to half of the entire political spectrum. The fact that you think there could even be any kind of equivalence across half of the entire political spectrum to be able to make a blanket statement about that half, shows just how extreme right you are. The further to either extreme you get, the more people in that extreme are unable to have nuanced thoughts on topics, and can only see an A or B option.

I understand, I do have that same feeling about the left as well, so we are in agreement here.

That was when Obama said to Medvedev, "After my election I have more flexibilty," and Medvedev replied "I will transmit this information to Vladimir."

As we all know, Trump's intellect is not deep, he's no philosopher, so he's as transparent as they come. He sincerely (but erroneously) believes he has the people skills to establish a close personal relation with Putin that would be good for Bizness and, world peace (meh!). Trouble is, there are anti-Russian elements in the USA, more powerful than the increasingly isolated POTUS. They will prevail. Trump is toast.

By allowing the perpetrators of 911 - Saudi Arabia to grow even richer with all the business and weapons deals.

Based on Trump the Chump's threats to his close allies he will no doubt invite Putin to Washington for a state visit in the near future.
Reverse diplomacy is now a thing.

While not a state visit (at this stage) I called it!

he deals with protesters and critics by having them killed. Trump stated he could shoot someone on main street and he wouldnt lose a vote. All he needs to do now is just get congress to change the constitution for him.

Putin can join Trump in supporting congressional candidates of their (likely mutual) choice. yeah great idea, Putin can do a round of campaigning for Trump, and throw a few extra campaign pledges in like making Russia another external state of America like GUAM. In return Putin will let Trump build a tower in each of Russias main cities. Trump will become a gazillionare and Putin will be his master.
smithinjapan
And Trump sells out the US once again. Didn't take him long after his treason the other day. And what's more, he shows Putin that there is zero punishment for being a dictator and murdering rivals, let alone for starting wars and shooting down civilian planes. Trump is once again a traitor and a coward.
Laguna
Simon, they've got it lucky - criticize Putin as a Russian and you may well find yourself dead, even if you flee abroad.
The "details being worked out" part is interesting. No American, not even administration members, knows exactly what happened during Trump's two-hour "summit" meeting with Putin (it wasn't a summit; it was a private chat), though, ominously, Putin has hinted that some agreements were reached.
I predict a massive backlash by the "deep state," the professionals who make the machine function, particularly if Trump insists on another private chat.
Jimizo
Putin is far, far smarter than Trump and Trump looks like the beta male in his company. Xi is another who towers over Trump. They also actually know things. Trump gibbering about Montenegro was cringeworthy. It reminded me of his legendary car crash interview when the subject of Ukraine came up. Out of his depth.
I think the inferiority complex of people who hate intelligent types ‘talking down’ to them is a real problem. Voting for a trash-talking lout may be consoling or soothing but it has terrible consequences.
Some people are smarter then you - get over it.
mukashiyokatta
Presumably, Trump likes Putin because a) he gets to rule for as long as he wants; and b) he deals with protesters and critics by having them killed.

Pretty much. Killing Russians in Syria and expelling 65 Russian diplomats not releasing sanctions, Yeah, I would say so.
He doesn't have to quake, but he wants something that we have that he can't get and that access to our markets and the sanctions that are digging in his side that he wants released. And with an economy the size of Texas that is frustrating to a man like Vlad. So quaking, No. Teed off, you betcha!

Allow me to retort of behalf of America.
What you are witnessing from America. Is a rebirth of greatness and change.
Every so often in our 242 year history. A rebirth occurs through purge. I have said it before and I will say it again. America will never be reduced to a drowning wailing swimmer or a third world country. These statements are preposterous. America is great. Will remain great. Even great in its darkest controversial times and politics. A fine example would be 911 and we all came together as a country. We are a young nation full Patriots. President Trump says. Make America Great Again. I say she is already great young and learning.

Trump is such a snake in the grass. Who know what he gave away to the Putin and the Russians in Helsinki, and now there's going to be a sequel to the Helsinki disaster.
Now the U.S. government is going to roll out the red carpet for an aggressive and active dictator with blood on his hands in Washington D.C., which will all be paid for by U.S. taxpayers.
Trump's been busy gutting the CIA, the FBI, relations with our allies, and now he's gutting the office of the presidency.
The man is an absolute disgrace to himself and his country.
If he can't be prosecuted for everything he's done after he eventually leaves office, then let's try and exile him to some far away island never to be seen from or heard from again.
LandofExcuses
Chaos, confusion, and highly questionable decision-making by its leaders are all hallmarks of once great nations in the throes of rapid decline. In the years to come, the US will assume more and more the persona of the drowning swimmer, flailing wildly in panic and posing as much danger to itself as to those in any proximity. Sad to see, really.
Slickdrifter
By the way. I feel Trump is toast. I think Mueller has a bombshell that will force the President to resign.
Once again sorry for the auto correct issues in my previous.
Slickdrifter
Sorry typo correction. (auto correct issues.)
This comment is not in defense of Donald Trump.
Another summit may not be a bad idea. However what is to be gained by confronting Mr. Putin?
What would be gained by sending Americans to Russia for questioning?
What would be gained by convicting the 12 that have been indicted? If they are jailed. How is this going to improve relations with Russia? it just sends a message not to mess with us. I think most can agree that we need Russia to be cooperative. Not necessarily an ally but a reliable International partner. It seems to me the real failure here is oversight or lack of. The meddling in our election was down right Cold war-ish. However, there’s no public evidence the post-Cold War Russian government has ever meddled at anywhere near the levels of 2016, when U.S. officials say the Kremlin tried to help Trump’s campaign. What really needs to be discussed is Russian meddling everywhere in the world by Russia. There is an ultimate goal Russia is trying accomplish or has accomplished already.
But I feel that there is no truth to Vladimir Putin’s words. That by every judgment to this point, they were aggressively involved in the U.S. elections, Montenegro, France, they are involved in the German upcoming elections. And that this is not the first time they’ve been involved in our elections, and that America needs to have a much more definitive response to them. I think we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg.
So you know.
Over the course of 11 presidential elections between the end of World War II and the fall of the Soviet Union, This has been confirmed and identified three secret attempts to influence an election.
• 1960: Through his ambassador to the United States, Mikhail Menshikov, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev offered Adlai Stevenson help from a secret propaganda campaign. However, Stevenson declined the offer. He lost in the Democratic primary to John F. Kennedy.
• 1968: The Soviet Union’s ambassador to the U.S., Anatoly Dobrynin, offered to secretly fund Hubert Humphrey’s campaign against Richard Nixon. Humphrey declined the bribe.
• 1976: Fearing that anti-communist Democrat Henry "Scoop" Jackson stood a good chance at winning in the wake of Nixon’s resignation, the KGB began a smear campaign. Soviet spies forged FBI paperwork to make it appear Jackson was secretly gay and sent the fake reports to newspapers around the United States during the election and for years after.
Notably, the past attempts to help a candidate were arranged through the ambassador. And much of the investigation into last year has focused on meetings the current Russian ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak, had with key officials on Trump’s team before Trump became president.
Some of those meetings allegedly involved former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn (who in 2015 took $45,000 from RT), Attorney General Jeff Sessions (who was a top Trump advisor during the campaign) and Jared Kushner, Trump’s senior advisor and son-in-law.
Maybe time to design some sort very aggressive oversight that can not fail or be compromised. Putting all the Trump hating and rhetoric aside for a moment. The meddling needs to be stopped and nipped in the bud. Right now. Russia can not allowed to meddle in our elections any further. Full stop. Even if it costs Trump his Presidency. The election system and democracy takes priority. Democrats have the right to motivate and get voters out there to cast. The days of a fair fight need to come back. What we are witnessing here is ultimately and could be the death of dirty politics.
I say the President should hold off of on another summit and let things cool down. At least until we see what Mueller presents in his investigation. A call for calmness is order. If anytime the my party needs to start working with those across the isles in the Senate in Congress in agencies everywhere fully and totally across the board. That time is now. What say you Democrats?

Ask Bill Browder if he agrees with you. That Putin just wants to "talk" to him. Bit odd that Putin wants Trump involved, when Browder is actually a British citizen.
As it turned out, Mr. Putin was trying to equate the Mueller investigation with a sinister Russian campaign against Bill Browder, an American-born financier who has become a Putin nemesis. After his lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, was jailed and killed for exposing a massive fraud involving senior Russian officials, Mr. Browder persuaded Congress to pass the 2012 Magnitsky Act, which has led to sanctions against numerous officials in the Putin clique. In an attempt to get the sanctions lifted, the Putin government has tried to portray Mr. Browder as the criminal, repeatedly and unsuccessfully seeking his arrest by Interpol.

And an observation: Neuroscience and Psychology research show (the effect replicates routinely) that the opinions most strongly held are based on the least amount of information. Education is not only valuable for the accumulation of information, but for developing the habits of mind (and nervous system) that expose to each person themselves what they don't know enough about, and critical thinking skills to evaluate the evidence in order to arrive at a nuanced understanding.

One way to understand your messages is ‘Do what Putin wants or it’s war.’ PutinTrump backers only seem to mention extreme poles and ignore all that’s between them.
Question: why would Putin want war (the military variety) when he’s already finland-ized parts of the former USSR, and by leveraging his control over oil and gas is set to finland-ize more of western Europe, and Trump is doing all he can to ensure the US and NATO are so weakened he can’t be stopped?
Military engagements would just be a waste of money and resources. The richest man in the world’s not going to do that. Proxy wars elsewhere to expand his territories maybe.

Right... just accepting for a moment the laughable notion that "TDS" actually exists. There are those who wonder what's going on when Trump gives this performance in Helsinki that even his own supporters condemn as embarrassingly weak and sycophantic, claims he mis-spoke when what he actually said was perfectly consistent with everything else he said, adds that no one has ever been tougher on Putin than him but now wants to roll out the red carpet in Washington for him, and then there are those who think it's all just fine and support him no matter what. It raises the questions, what actually is this TDS thing, and who's actually got it?
