Given Big D has zero credibility issues, we can totally take him at his word

Trump, MbS and Putin? Who knows what the global masters of oil are doing and which among them will benefit the most. But what a great time to save taxpayer money by reducing the subsidies to big oil corporations! What a great time to let alternatives to big oil compete on a somewhat even field! Those who claim free market capitalism defines the US economy and who claim to abhor socialism (while supporting national socialism) must agree.

And another great example that Donnie prefers to deal with tyrants and dictators - those he obviously admires...

The Deal: Saudi Arabia and Russia get oil price stabilization as long as both fess up some dirt on Biden...

Newsflash for lincolnman - every president, including Obama, has had to deal with tyrants and dictators.

You just can't stand the fact that Trump does it way better.

And when it was Obama dealing with Cuba, you people called him a traitor who should be strung up for treason.

But it's all ok when Trump colludes with Putin. Got it.

Trump said he spoke with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday. "I expect & hope that they will be cutting back approximately 10 Million Barrels, and maybe substantially more which, if it happens, will be GREAT for the oil & gas industry!"

But not great for the consumer, at a time when a lot of people are out of a job

A couple years ago, Trump was complaining about OPEC's oil prices when he just pulled out of the Iran deal and wanted to squeeze Iran's income from oil. And incumbent politicians want lower oil prices during elections

Trump's attack on OPEC — his second in two months — appears aimed at talking down prices and bullying the cartel into agreeing at next week's meeting to pump more oil.

President Donald Trump wants oil prices to keep plunging. OPEC is warning Trump to be careful what he wishes for.

It is called diplomacy. What wording would you suggest?

....but not at a level that would destroy the domestic US oil production, especially during a period of low demand. There are many moving pieces in this game, it is not tic-tac-to.

Sure, I guess Neville Chamberlain called it diplomacy too....everyone else calls it appeasement...

What would you call it when he insults leaders of democratic nations but pals around and sends love letters to tyrants and dictators?

You mean, like removing busts of churchill from the white house and sending them back to london, and giving a CD of his own wonderful speeches as a present to the queen? Hmm...

Anyway, hobnobbing with your friends is the easiest thing in the world. What is difficult is getting things done with adversaries. And you don´t get things done by insulting them. You too are looking at a chess game and analyse it as tic-tac-to.

Oh yea, those were real ruptures in the Alliance. So why is Obama still twice as popular in the UK than Donnie? I don't remember seeing any orange balloons flying and demos in the streets when Obama visited...

Tic-tac-toe is over Donnie's head - that's not a game for two-year olds. So, tell me when Trump put a finger in Putin's chest and said "Out of Ukraine, Crimea, and Georgia, and never interfere in our election again"

We'll be waiting...

So that is your idea of international diplomacy? And that after talking about tic-tac-to and "two year olds".

I rest my case.

zichi:

The production costs of American shale oil is about $30/barrel, so at $20/barrel they are losing minus 10.

Yep. And that is why he wants to get it up to 30 again. Another bankrupt industry is not what any president would want in the current situation.

The oil-dumping war initiated by Saudi and met by Russia would be interesting at another time, but not now.

It isn't an idea, It's a question - that you failed to answer - when did Trump stand up to Putin?

I think you could even ask, when has Trump ever not kissed Putin's ass?

Oh, your warmongering ideas are a "question" now? Trump is way much more adversarial to Russia than he should, probably to somehow appease the deep state warmongers at home. He has increased sanctions against Russian Republic, and he has sent military aid to Ukraine (which Obama never die, who sensibly limited aid to medical supply and blankets). Both of which is completely wrong in my opinion, but it should certainly take the wind out of stupid, uninformed accusations like Trump kissing "Putins ass".

So, once again, when did he stand up to Putin and tell him to stop attacking our democracy and to get his army out of Ukraine and Crimea?

Simple question that you've evaded 3 times...just answer it...if you can't, say so...
