Post NATO carnage vulture nations and their oil and gas corporations are fighting over which gets the biggest shares of Libya’s resources. With zero regard for the Libyan peoples.

Taxpayers subsidize wars for oil. And gas. And for defense industries. And of course their financiers.

The fossils in the global elite, the global establishment, including Trump, Putin, Erdogan, Gulf ‘royals’ and others in the .01% get richer every day, trickling down on the masses and saying let them eat each other.

How do you spell quagmire?

I wish I could post an insightful comment that would help any and all to understand what the hell is going on here, but I can't.

Because I don't know what is going on. At all.

And, unlike others here, I refuse to force the facts presented in this article to fit my model of the world....

Even though Russia categorically denies have any of those 2,000 'Wagner' troops there, they will be outraged that Turkey is taking a stand against these non-existent troops on the battlefield.

The fossils in the global elite, the global establishment, including Trump,

I don’t think you should include Trump in there. He’s in a temp job. The “global elite” will continue to wreck havoc no matter who is the leader of a country. And WHY isn’t Sarkozy on this quick list? More homework is needed instead or popping off the usual suspects on your list of evildoers.

Trump had nothing to do with the disaster in Libya. It was a stable country, before Clinton/Obama destroyed it.

Trump belongs on the list of the global elite. He's a tool for them. He's doing their bidding. He's keeping troops in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere, places where resources can be taken. He's continuing subsidies for big oil and big defense. He's made the rich and their corporations lives easier by pushing measures that allow corporations to pollute more, and by reducing worker and consumer protections. He's reduced the amounts of taxes they pay, making working and middle class and younger generations pay more. And no, I won't accept 'it's the deep state' making him do it. Trump's part of the global establishment.

It was a stable country, before Clinton/Obama destroyed it.

I agree, but would add those two along with leaders of France, UK and Italy. You have to admit the destruction of Libya has been good for Russia's state owned oil and gas companies. They, like the other corporations exploiting Libya, care nothing for the Libyan people in general.

What a mess.

Yep. The Obama administration's intervention in Libya really screwed up that country.

You guys are so butt-hurt and scared about what happened to trump, and continues to happen (for which he has only himself and people like you to blame), that you are jumping on every thread you can to deflect and project.

The Obama administration for better or for worse, actually refused to get directly involved in the Libya intervention.

What an obscure item on foreign policy are you throwing at us between the years?

Are you joking? The Obama administration CREATED the destruction of Libya. Have you completely forgotten Clintons touring of Europe and clamouring for Nato intervention? Yes, officiall, Obama was hiding behind Nato, but nobody in his right mind would claim that Nato could have done anything without US military muscle.

The UN-recognized Libya government legally invites Turkey troops (kinda like Syria with Russia troops)

Opposition Haftar force is supported by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Russian mercenaries (that's why Putin is butting in)

Trump is supporting Haftar after talking on the phone with Saudi Arabia

Invalid etc. x 5

And..... they all get to test out their various drones for the future of warfare.

Quote: The Chinese-made drones have given Haftar "local air superiority" as they can carry over eight times the weight of explosives than the drones given to the GNA by Turkey and can also cover the whole of Libya, a U.N. report said in November.

This was a factual statement. Can the experts who downvoted it explain what is wrong with it?

I expect crickets...

Erdogan is sending Syrians to Libya, not wanting Turkish casualties. $2,000 dollars a fighter.
