The White House on Wednesday objected to the publication of a book

Another attack on freedom of speech. What are Trump and ilk so afraid of. What are they hiding.

Some material was deemed top secret

The excuse used by corrupt regimes hiding something. Who knows whether that's true. Having lied so many times Trump and ilk have zero credibility. Except to their truest true believers and the terminally benighted.

1 ( +10 / -9 )

significant amounts of classified information.

Uh huh. I'm sure Bolton sat at his keyboard and just started typing out classified material then submitted it to the government for review. Makes perfect sense.

And I find it odd they finished the review process all of a sudden after having it since December.

3 ( +9 / -6 )

If Bolten testifies and still no abusive of power or anything wrong then What would the democrats do then? Will they call mickey mouse for a witness testimony???? Yes there is a high possibility.

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

Uh huh. I'm sure Bolton sat at his keyboard and just started typing out classified material then submitted it to the government for review. Makes perfect sense.

Thsts exactly what happened. Bolton has never been trustworthy.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Will they call mickey mouse for a witness testimony??

When Trump supporters and others in the global alt right can't defend their leader, they resort to absurd flames. The above an example.

1 ( +10 / -9 )

Another attack on freedom of speech.

Says the people that support the people that wouldn’t even allow the President to choose witnesses they want for his defense.

What are Trump and ilk so afraid of. What are they hiding.

So what are Democrats hiding with Biden

The excuse used by corrupt regimes hiding something. Who knows whether that's true. Having lied so many times Trump and ilk have zero credibility. Except to their truest true believers and the terminally benighted.

We feel the exact same way about Schiff and Nadler.

We need to have witnesses to end this case. John Bolton has a book to sell. Subpoena it and put it in the public record. Puff - no need to buy it. He keeps his advance and the foolish publisher gets stuck holding the bag.

We need Hunter Biden put on trial for his expensive drug habit, failure to pay for his offspring and former wife, unseemly swooping in on his dead brothers wife, benefitting from his fathers nepotism in Ukraine and China and his huge pay days for essentially doing nothing. We need the “whistleblower” to get his bias exposed just like the corrupt FBI officials were exposed.

The best part of this impeachment and trial is that it has now become much much easier to impeach and try a president - a crime isn’t a requirement - policy differences will suffice. When a Dem wins this Fall and the House flips in 2022, as always seems to occur to the presidents party, a president Biden or Sanders will readily be impeached with a short six week inquiry all while barring the Dem president a defense - the precedent has been set. It is important to get witnesses - for the sake of the 2022 impeachment and trial of President Warren.

-4 ( +9 / -13 )

Top secret and classified info is what they are “hiding”. Plus he signed an NDA.

poor Bolton won’t be getting any of that sweet sweet book money.

meanwhile schiff still lying that he doesn’t know who the whistleblower is and liberals fine with that. How can you protect the whistleblower if you don’t know who he is?

-5 ( +8 / -13 )

they got it like Dec 30 and sent him a letter last week. I think they have more important things to do than review Bolton’s book. only reason is got done this fast is likely vindmans brother.

And I find it odd they finished the review process all of a sudden after having it since December.

Did you see what Crazy Rudy had to say about Bolton?

Giuliani Swipes Back at John Bolton: He’s a Swamp Character, Backstabber, and an Atomic Bomb

https://www.thedailybeast.com/giuliani-swipes-back-at-john-bolton-hes-a-swamp-character-backstabber-and-an-atomic-bomb

Oh My, the Repub civil war is getting nasty, isn't it.

And what is this fixation that Repubs have with explosives? Bolton calls Rudy a "Walking Hand Grenade", and Rudy call Bolton an "Atomic Bomb"... Guess they're all war mongering NEOCONs...

I actually think both are right - both of them are blowing up Trump-world...

Go Rudy! Go John!

Dump Trump/Pitch Pence/Ditch Mitch 2020!

The best part of this impeachment and trial is that it has now become much much easier to impeach and try a president - a crime isn’t a requirement - policy differences will suffice.

Trumpoids have succumbed to Stockholm Syndrome so completely that crime is now just a ‘policy difference’.

A letter from the White House National Security Council to Bolton's attorney said the manuscript, based on a preliminary review, appeared to contain "significant amounts of classified information."

Yea, all the parts written in Black Sharpie...

Some material was deemed top secret and could "cause exceptionally grave harm to the national security," according to the letter dated Jan. 23 to Bolton's lawyer.

And the phone call transcript was stored on a "highly classified server"? More blatant obstruction and cover-up...

Contradicting Trump's version of events, Bolton wrote in the unpublished book manuscript that the president told him he wanted to freeze $391 million in security aid to Ukraine until Kiev pursued investigations into Democrats, including Biden and the former vice president's son Hunter Biden, the New York Times reported.

BINGO! The smoking gun...

The letter said the White House would be in touch with Bolton's lawyer with "detailed guidance" for manuscript revisions.

And the guidance is; "Every place where Donald Trump uses the word quid-pro-quo must be deleted"...

Trump added that Bolton, who left his White House post in September, "goes out and IMMEDIATELY writes a nasty & untrue book. All Classified National Security. Who would do this?"

Well Donnie, pretty much all of your former administration members, you know, "the best", who after working with you, call you an idiot, a moron, someone with the understanding of a fifth grader, and a danger to the republic...you know, your friends...

2 ( +9 / -7 )

Your poor Bolton. His book just got blocked for top secret info. And Trump just posted his tv interview where he said everything about the call and Ukraine was just fine.

plus the 2010 interview asserting he has no problem to lie under oath.

ah well you still have Parnas. Chuckie invited him to the trial, you know?

-4 ( +6 / -10 )

benefitting from his fathers nepotism in Ukraine and China

Trumpophiles can’t help but push conspiracy theories before 9:00.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

Just popping out to the shops to get more popcorn!

0 ( +4 / -4 )

The title of Bolton's book The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir, a cute reference to the rapper musical, sounds like a coming-out of the closet confession of a, or the whistleblower who triggered the revelation of Trump's Ukrainegate "drug deal". It must have rankled the cantankerous " I am the walrus" Bolton bigly to be treated as one of the Dumpster's "apprentices". After having ruffled Bolton's mustache, Trump is now in grave danger, "Sitting on a corn flake waiting for the van to come."

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

And Trump just posted his tv interview where he said everything about the call and Ukraine was just fine.

Thag settles it since Donny has zero credibility issues. It’s not like he lies or is widely inaccurate every time he opens his mouth.

I think they have more important things to do than review Bolton’s book. only reason is got done this fast is likely vindmans brother.

Look, another Trumpophile conspiracy theory in the morning.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

Don't you just love it when slobbering suck-ups like Lindsey Graham get caught with their own words?

I mean this was a guy who said in 2016; "Trump is a kook, he's a racist, I'll vote for anyone except Trump"... Right Lindsey...

So Lindsey says this in Oct:

Sen. Lindsey Graham told "Axios on HBO" last month that he'd be open to changing his mind on impeachment if he was shown Trump was engaged in a quid pro quo with Ukraine outside of the July 25 phone call.

"If you could show me that Trump actually was engaging in a quid pro quo, outside the phone call, that would be very disturbing"

Well Lindsey, your best bud and fellow NEOCON has said just that; Trump was using the military aid as a condition of Zelinsky announcing an investigation into the Bidens - you know a quid-pro-quo...

Well, Lindsey's mind must changing then, huh?

Fat chance, Graham yesterday:  "But from my point of view, I've got all the evidence I need."

https://www.foxnews.com/media/lindsey-graham-says-bolton-has-kind-of-thrown-the-country-into-a-ditch-with-his-book-manuscript

Congratulations Lindsey, you just won the "Lying Hypocrite of the Year" award....

0 ( +6 / -6 )

Says the people that support the people that wouldn’t even allow the President to choose witnesses they want for his defense.

Donny has to talk to Moscow about getting Donny’s witnesses to testify.

Are you steady trying to re-write history and blame the dems for Senate republicans not wanting to allow Donny to present witnesses?

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

A letter from the White House National Security Council to Bolton's attorney said the manuscript, based on a preliminary review, appeared to contain "significant amounts of classified information."

Some material was deemed top secret and could "cause exceptionally grave harm to the national security," according to the letter dated Jan. 23 to Bolton's lawyer.

....."Under federal law and the nondisclosure agreements your client signed as a condition for gaining access to classified information, the manuscript may not be published or otherwise disclosed without the deletion of this classified information," the letter said.

.....A Bolton spokeswoman had no comment on the White House letter. Neither his publisher nor lawyer immediately responded to requests for comment.

LOL. Another suspicious, last-minute, leak of a rumored claim supporting some Democrat Party position.

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

it has now become much much easier to impeach and try a president - a crime isn’t a requirement - policy differences will suffice.

None of this is correct. The impeachable acts need not be crimes, but they have to be more than policy differences. Of course, Trumpophiles aren’t intellectually honest enough to admit these facts.

1 ( +7 / -6 )

And the phone call transcript was stored on a "highly classified server"? More blatant obstruction and cover-up...

Democrats fame to claim.

BINGO! The smoking gun...

How? Who verified it, not to mention none of it was cleared by the NSA, not good, not good for Bolton book sales.

And the guidance is; "Every place where Donald Trump uses the word quid-pro-quo must be deleted"...

As Dershowitz said, it’s not a crime or a reason to impeach and remove a President.

"the best", who after working with you, call you an idiot, a moron, someone with the understanding of a fifth grader, and a danger to the republic...you know, your friends...

Just summed up the Democrats in a nutshell.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

And Trump just posted his tv interview where he said everything about the call and Ukraine was just fine.

Trump is a pathological liar. He can’t even tell the truth about where his own father was born.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

Well the good news is that we have conservatives eating each other alive, which is always fun to watch.

What's odd is that Trump fans went around telling us all the evidence was just hearsay and the second someone in the know steps up he's immediately branded as a liar. I guess it really didn't matter after all.

What's funny is that Trump banned people like Pence and Pompeo from talking, then claimed no one had evidence of a direct conversation.....when the only ones who would have had a direct conversation are banned from speaking. That means the only evidence Trump fans will accept is a signed confession from Trump himself or a live recording of the same.

But honestly, we're past that point. The majority of Americans want witnesses. The majority want him removed. And from FoxNews.com's polling: "Among independents, more say Trump should be removed by a 19-point margin (53-34 percent)."

Trump will walk, but we're just going to keep adding to that pound of flesh Republicans will have to donate to keep him. Thanks, Bolton!

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Wolfpack: We need Hunter Biden put on trial for his expensive drug habit, failure to pay for his offspring and former wife, unseemly swooping in on his dead brothers wife, benefitting from his fathers nepotism in Ukraine and China and his huge pay days for essentially doing nothing.

OK, then go and arrest him and put him on trial.

We need the “whistleblower” to get his bias exposed

Who cares if he or she is biased? Trump's man decided the complaint was credible and relevant. If it's a Trump hater that's pretty cool but it doesn't change the claim or the subsequent impeachment.

bass4funk: As Dershowitz said, it’s not a crime or a reason to impeach and remove a President.

Dershowitz has had two opinions: One where Trump's actions are impeachable and another where he's allowed to do what he did. Guess which one came up when he became a paid lawyer for Trump.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

Bolton

A disgruntled former employee and warmonger who can't prove what he said Trump said.

Just popping out to the shops to get more popcorn!

I've got cheese sticks and Junior Mints!

Trump will be acquitted forever. Trump-Pence 2020 all way, Baby!

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

@sargeanoTrump will be acquitted forever.

That could well be. Trump's definitely got the globe's richest and most powerful backing him. They're paying his legal team, each attorney a lifelong tool for the ruling class, what some call for some reason the 'elite', what others might call deep-swamp creatures. Among them are the .01% who've held global power for decades, some whose families have had power for centuries. (Say, whatever happened to the Trump supporters who'd claimed he was anti-establishment, that he was going to start a new world order. hmmm)

Trump may be acquitted, but by his name there will always, throughout history, i.e. forever, and asterisk by his name denoting he was IMPEACHED.

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

Trump is a pathological liar.

The Democrats are far, far worse. When they talk, I always hear Joe Jackson singing in the background “You can’t what you want” for some reason.....odd.

Well the good news is that we have conservatives eating each other alive, which is always fun to watch.

I think it’s funnier watching the 3 Democrats fight it out with their party that they might vote to acquit the President, boy was Schumer maaaaad!

What's odd is that Trump fans went around telling us all the evidence was just hearsay and the second someone in the know steps up he's immediately branded as a liar. I guess it really didn't matter after all.

But the Dems still didn’t make a case. I mean, how many witnesses do you need? I lost count and still the greedy Dems want more? If you allow these people to continue, they’ll call witnesses all the way up until November. Put a fork in this farce.

What's funny is that Trump banned people like Pence and Pompeo from talking,

Which he can do.

But honestly, we're past that point. The majority of Americans want witnesses. The majority want him removed.

No, half want him removed.

Fifty-four percent of Republicans have a positive view of McConnell, 70 percent of Democrats view Pelosi favorably, while fully 90 percent of Republicans like Trump.

Trump will walk, but we're just going to keep adding to that pound of flesh Republicans will have to donate to keep him. Thanks, Bolton

As we do for the Democrats that tried to remove him, thanks Nancy.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Wolfpack:

We need to have witnesses to end this case.

No, we don´t, because there is no case. Dershowitz's statement blew this nonsense clear out of the water. I do not understand why so many politicians on the Trump side want to get down into this illegal mud pit with the details about the shampeachment. As Dershowitz explained clearly, nothing impeachable is even alleged, and if Congress wants to make up new impeachable offenses, they putting themselves above the constitution. That should be the end of it, for anybody who paid attention.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

On another note:

all big 3 networks ABC, CBC, NBC blacked out Trump defense lawyer Pam Bondi's presentation of Ukraine corruption related to Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and Berisma. Which was pretty stunning (I watched it on Youtube).

(In contrast the Big 3 carried Schiffs pm presentations live, preempting regular programming.)

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

Dershowitz is a lawyer, not a judge and a member of the Trump legal team. Previously he said different. He also said Epstein was innocent.

Schiff is also a lawyer, he said, Trump was guilty without any supporting facts or at least guilty to the point where he needs to be removed, but this is the same man that said Clinton was innocent of any wrongdoing.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

The Democrats are far, far worse. When they talk, I always hear Joe Jackson singing in the background “You can’t what you want” for some reason.....odd.

Yes, odd.

As Dershowitz said, it’s not a crime or a reason to impeach and remove a President.

Dershowitz is smart enough to know that his defense of Trump can't rest on the claim that the president did nothing wrong. Dershowitz knows his client is guilty, just like he knew his other über-rich vermin clients Claus von Bülow, Mike Tyson, O.J. Simpson, Jeffrey Epstein, and Harvey Weinstein were guilty.

Dershowitz is also smart enough to realize that Trump supporters are gullible enough/disingenuous enough to swallow the "not-a-crime-so-not-impeachable" defense, which is refuted by virtually all legal precedent and constitutional scholarship.

I mean, how many witnesses do you need? I lost count and still the greedy Dems want more? If you allow these people to continue, they’ll call witnesses all the way up until November. Put a fork in this farce.

More bad faith arguments.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Of course the White House objects to the Bolton book. You have Bolton, an honest man who has a reputation for calling it like it is, accusing the president, the lyingest president in U.S. history, of abusing the constitution and not being truthful regarding a specific case in which that president in currently undergoing an impeachment trial for. Who are you going to believe?

Bolton should testify because he was there and knows what the president was thinking and doing. His testimony about Trump's wrongdoings is important.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

bass: The Democrats are far, far worse.

Not as bad as the Republicans!

I think it’s funnier watching the 3 Democrats fight

I think it's funnier watching Republicans fight.

As we do for the Democrats

As we do for the Republicans.

It's been great chatting with you this evening.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

Dershowitz is smart enough to know that his defense of Trump can't rest on the claim that the president did nothing wrong.

Actually it can, we all know how this goes, he’ll be acquitted and not removed.

Dershowitz knows his client is guilty,

As a Hillary supporter, he has absolute No reason to represent the President he could have easily stayed out of this farce, but a man of constitutional convictions he wanted to speak out of the dangers of what the Dems are doing, Professor Turley said the same thing, Democrats shouldn’t go down this road, they did and they’ve made Trump more stronger and more difficult to beat. Mad respect to the Democrats for this help.

just like he knew his other über-rich vermin clients Claus von Bülow, Mike Tyson, O.J. Simpson, Jeffrey Epstein, and Harvey Weinstein were guilty.

Comparing oranges to kiwis again? Lol

Dershowitz is also smart enough to realize that Trump supporters are gullible

Ahhh, like Don Lemon did the other day, still reeling from that backlash. When Trump is sworn in again, thank the gullible people. Lol.

More bad faith arguments.

Usual liberal retort.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

[Schiff] is the same man that said Clinton was innocent of any wrongdoing.

Schiff never said that. He was opposed to Clinton's impeachment.

Clinton lied about sexual activity with an intern. Trump used the office of the presidency to solicit a foreign government to help him in his political campaign.

Which is more impeachable do you think?

3 ( +7 / -4 )

You have Bolton, an honest man who has a reputation for calling it like it is,

I just find it hilarious how Bolton, who our Trump haters previously (and correctly, actually) lambasted for his non-stop warmongering, now suddenly is their hero. Orangeman bad trumps everything!

-5 ( +5 / -10 )

Dershowitz is also smart enough to realize that Trump supporters are gullible enough

MSM consumers calling Trump supporter "gullible".... that is pretty rich I must say.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Carl Bernstein stated this today about Bolton:

"(Today) has been about keeping out relevant information about the conduct of the president of the United States. We can't see Bolton's book. We can't have Bolton here. Before they were saying there was no proof the president had violated the law, there's no witness that saw him do it and now there is a witness and they're saying, 'Oh, well, you can't have that witness'. But the most telling thing of all is to listen to the president's defenders say, 'Well, really we can't do this because it's going to take too much time. And bad for the country to take that much time.' . . . The country has time. This is the most important thing that we can do is to find out the truth."

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Bolton is the whistleblower. Or maybe it’s general Kelly. Or Mulvaney. So stop saying their names and expecting them to testify.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Usual liberal retort.

Who said I was a liberal?

MSM consumers calling Trump supporter "gullible".... that is pretty rich I must say.

Who said I'm a MSM consumer?

now suddenly is their hero

Unsubstantiated assumption.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump added that Bolton, who left his White House post in September, "goes out and IMMEDIATELY writes a nasty & untrue book. All Classified National Security. Who would do this?"

So... why do they need to classify it all if it’s all lies?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Schiff never said that. He was opposed to Clinton's impeachment.

Yes, so he thought Clinton was innocent and it was wrong to impeach him, even for the fact he lied under “oath.” In that case, it would be an impeachable offense, but at least he lost his law license, so some vindication right there.

Trump used the office of the presidency to solicit a foreign government to help him in his political campaign.

Clinton used his office for....well, anyway, Trump had every right to dig dirt on his rival, so basically Democrats are making the argument essentially, we Democrats can dig dirt on you, gather information from a foreign source and weaponize law enforcement to do whatever is in their power to thwart your Presidency...yeah, sounds fairly one-sided to me.

Which is more impeachable do you think?

the impeachment of 1998

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Not one Trump supporter/pro-authoritarianist is able to defend Trump using any intelligible line of reasoning beyond

other-guys-do-bad-things-too;

and/or i

Pretty spot on

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Judging from Dirtshowitz's calculated pleading for a monarchical presidency, he must be auditioning for a spot in Trump's White House Apprentice Revolving Door circus: Attorney General?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Trump may be acquitted, but by his name there will always, throughout history, i.e. forever, and asterisk by his name denoting he was IMPEACHED.

Trump may be IMPEACHED forever by the do-nothing Dem controlled House in a totally partisan vote, but he will be ACQUITTED forever, possibly with a few Dem votes.

Not one Trump supporter/pro-authoritarianist is able to defend Trump using any intelligible line of reasoning beyond other-guys-do-bad-things-too; can't-prove-it; and/or it's-the-media's (i.e. the outlets that dare to question Trump/Putin/Bannon) fault for reporting what Trump does. SMH

He didn't do anything wrong.

Too easy!

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Bolton is an oddball and warmonger.  While it seems strange that he might seek to discredit Trump, not beyond the realms of possibility.  The Dems have a strong record on starting unjustified wars and he may see them as a better bet for his ongoing crusade in the Middle East.  And hiss Russophobia.

Still, my guess is whatever he may write (or even testify), it won't be enough to have DT removed from office.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

@sergannoHe didn't do anything wrong.

'Didn't do it'. Said by every criminal, then parroted by the thugs in the criminal's posse.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Judging from Dirtshowitz's calculated pleading for a monarchical presidency, he must be auditioning for a spot in Trump's White House Apprentice Revolving Door circus: Attorney General?

Why would he? He’s A deep, deep Hillary supporter.

"significant amounts of classified information."

The NSA didn’t not review the book, apparently there are a lot things in the book that are classed, have the NSA review it and then publish if.

Bolton has to testify. After all, it takes a rat to catch a rat.

Calls are growing for the whistleblower and even Schiff including the Biden’s.

Trumpists cannot comprehend that there's ideologies beyond liberals or conservatives.

Like what? Socialism and fascism?

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

This is exactly a defense, if you can’t prove it. and you have not proven it.

can't-prove-it;

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

It’s amazing that Schiff supposedly doesn’t know who the whistleblower is. but after 17 witnesses deep plus wanting more he is very confident about who it ISNT?

Why?

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

It's hilarious how Trump (a pathological liar) is asking people to believe him on Bolton. The PotUS lies each and every day. How long before he says he doesn't know Bolton/has never met him?

Like what? Socialism and fascism?

Lazy and ignorant responses will be met with the contempt they deserve. I suppose it's why Trump's ignorance resonates with his core support - there's no interest in education, analysis or the truth.

LOL

This is exactly a defense, if you can’t prove it. and you have not proven it.

Trump's former chief of staff John Kelly sides with John Bolton and says the Senate should call witnesses in impeachment trial

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trumps-former-chief-staff-john-173049927.html

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Basically, the logical conclusion one must draw from Dershowitz and the defence team is that if Trump ordered his election opponent arrested, that would be fine because he’s pursuing the national interest in order to get re-elected.

Zoiks!

3 ( +3 / -0 )

You guys missed where Schiff agreed it’s an impeachable offense to investigate your political opponent or their family, Which is exactly what obama did to candidate Trump and his family. Oops.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Trump had every right to dig dirt on his rival, so basically Democrats are making the argument essentially, we Democrats can dig dirt on you,

Trump does not have any right to leverage his power as president to seek a foreign government's help in helping him win an election. The difference between this and a candidate seeking dirt overseas is pretty obvious. It has been pointed out to you numerous times, but you keep coming back with your nonsensical assertion.

Trump was using his power as president for personal gain. That is not politics as usual. That is what tinpot dictators do.

Besides, what's your argument anyway? Democrats have no proof, or the proof against Donny is nothing damning? You seem to toggle between these two positions.

You're not a conservative..

You're not a conservative.

You refute any conservative documented analysis, but you want conservatives to accept

Evidence, please.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

You guys missed where Schiff agreed it’s an impeachable offense to investigate your political opponent or their family, Which is exactly what obama did to candidate Trump and his family. Oops.

So impeach him then. Oh... errr, never mind

2 ( +2 / -0 )

It's hilarious how Trump (a pathological liar) is asking people to believe him on Bolton.

Wait a minute, liberals dismissed Bolton as one of the architects of the Iraq war, called him so many names, there’s no way I could print them all without getting scolded by the moderators and now he’s somehow a beloved and sacred man that’s now accepted into the bosom and arms of the Democrats? Funny.

The PotUS lies each and every day. How long before he says he doesn't know Bolton/has never met him?

The Democrats lie, that’s the reason why we might have 4 sensible Democrats that might join the Republicans to vote to acquit the President.

Lazy and ignorant responses

No, it’s just liberals can’t defend them and why would they?

Trump's former chief of staff John Kelly sides with John Bolton and says the Senate should call witnesses in impeachment trial

I'm not opposed to it, I do want to hear as well from Schiff, the Biden’s and heck, throw in the whistleblower as well for good measure.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Which is exactly what obama did to candidate Trump and his family. Oops.

False. Elements of Trump's campaign were investigated because there was legitimate concern that foreign agents were infiltrating and attempting to sway an election.

Oops.

Toasted Heretic:

It's hilarious how Trump (a pathological liar) is asking people to believe him on Bolton.

What I find hilarious is how Bolton, the ultimate neocon warmonger, is now the new hero of the Trump-hating establishment. Too rich!

About Trump, he did not follow Boltons advice (which is invariably "go to war" and ultimately fired him. Actions speak louder than words.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

This doesn’t change the fact that Trump is a pathological liar.

You were a big fan of Bolton. I can’t imagine you see him as a pathological liar.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Trump does not have any right to leverage his power as president to seek a foreign government's help in helping him win an election.

Yes, he does, he has every right to find out what his opponent is all about. Remember, he wants to win, all Presidential candidates want to win, didn’t stop Obama or Hillary or McCain from doing it to Trump and now he has to accept Biden and not dare know anything about his opponent? Give me a break. This is why he will be acquitted, it’s because constitutionally the Dems just have no case. 2 years, hundreds of witnesses and nothing.

The difference between this and a candidate seeking dirt overseas is pretty obvious. It has been pointed out to you numerous times, but you keep coming back with your nonsensical assertion.

Same as you.

Trump was using his power as president for personal gain.

That has never been proven or established, see Mueller.

That is not politics as usual. That is what tinpot dictators do.

I remember 8 years ago.....

You're not a conservative.

I’m an Independent conservative and darn proud and unapologetic about it.

now he’s somehow a beloved and sacred man that’s now accepted into the bosom and arms of the Democrats

Bolton, the ultimate neocon warmonger, is now the new hero of the Trump-hating establishment.

No Democrats or members of the "Trump-hating establishment" have said such a thing. Has this meme been fed to you by Daddy Hannity?

This doesn’t change the fact that Trump is a pathological liar.

I disagree, I think the Democrats are worse, really.

You were a big fan of Bolton. I can’t imagine you see him as a pathological liar.

I do like Bolton and still am a fan, but I also think Bolton has a chip on his shoulder and an axe to grind for whatever reason and when that happens who knows what they might say or do. I don’t put anything past anyone.

Yes all this flip flopping on loving and hating the same person over and over just proves all the hate was politics and disingenuous.

remember when John Kelly was a liar and a racist? He really wasn’t or you wouldn’t love him now

What I find hilarious is how Bolton, the ultimate neocon warmonger, is now the new hero of the Trump-hating establishment. Too rich!

I don’t know about hero, but he is certainly lies less than Trump. Pretty much anyone who isn’t pathological lies less than Trump.

@Blacklabel

This is exactly a defense, if you can’t prove it. and you have not proven it.

The defense is so weak, and there is so much evidence that a crime has been committed that the GOP doesn't even care anymore.

Dershowitz Delivers Dynamic Defense Despite Bolton Shock Waves

https://www.americanpatriotnewsletter.com/dershowitz-delivers-dynamic-defense-despite-bolton-shock-waves/

Harvard Law School Professor Alan Dershowitz, delivering a spirited constitutional defense of President Trump at his Senate impeachment trial Monday night, flatly turned toward House impeachment managers and declared they had picked “dangerous” and “wrong” charges against the president — noting that neither “abuse of power” nor “obstruction of Congress” was remotely close to an impeachable offense as the framers had intended.

Nothing is surprising from the morally corrupted GOP and the trumplings.

@bas4fand now he’s somehow a beloved and sacred man

Exaggerate much? I haven't read anyone on this forum say Bolton's 'a beloved and sacred man'. To me he's a career swamp dweller pushing for more wars in support of big oil so the big war industries, Wall Street and others, i.e. the so-called 'elite' can maintain their power and control. That's why Trump brought him and other neocons into his admin. ; to maintain the status quo. What I want and what I've read other anti-Trump/anti-neonationalsocialists say is let the man speak. Though like Trump he's a known liar (see Iraq has WMD) the American public need to hear from all involved. What are Trump and ilk hiding?

Indeed. But it won't stop the Trump supporters saying such things.

Lies and deceit are their currency.

Nope, literally nobody here has said this, nor believes it. Merely that one needs someone of similar low calibre to catch the criminal.

Why, oh why, do Trump supporters trade in falsehoods, hyperbole and fantastical fantasy?

Dershowitz seems to think seeking foreign interference in US elections is not a crime.

I wish he’d used the same defense for OJ, ‘murder is not a crime if you think it’s justified ‘

I don’t know about hero, but he is certainly lies less than Trump.

I really disagree on that one. The Dems are really a pathetic, no wonder Trump will be vindicated soon enough.

Exaggerate much? I haven't read anyone on this forum say Bolton's 'a beloved and sacred man'.

The Dems sure think so.

To me he's a career swamp dweller pushing for more wars in support of big oil so the big war industries, Wall Street and others, i.e. the so-called 'elite' can maintain their power and control.

Yup.

That's why Trump brought him and other neocons into his admin. ; to maintain the status quo.

Oh, dear lord. The little green aliens....

I don’t know, what are the Democrats hiding? Do you have people like Schiff and Nadler That are habitual liars and have been trying to spit in the eye of the American voter and have been trying to change an election of the president that was duly elected by the people, because they are still upset that they lost in the last election and they don’t want to give up their power and they are very worried also that Trump if he wins a second term could possibly get a third pick for the Supreme Court. But I am glad that they are making this president stronger, keep up the good work, I’m supporting the Democrats lies.

Abuse of power is abuse of power, it is a pattern with trump during his presidency. No one can deny this.

If all good Americans do not correct this, all americans have to live in shame from the human race.

everyone can see this.

Gosh, where were the Democrats when they were dealing with Christopher Steele? Evidently, that kind of foreign interference to dig dirt on Trump was ok it seems.
