One article of many showing that the Obama plan was actually "thrown out" as being ineffective

Yes the Trump administration did in 9 months what the previous one couldn't get done in 8 years.

a blow for the US.

Yeah, but he didn’t do anything, the soldiers weren’t allowed to really fire and planes were coming back daily with full payloads. Rules of Engagement were really not to engage unless specified, of course with that strategy it will take years and years to defeat any enemy.
He should, Obama took credit for thinking that Iraq will hail his administration as heroes and the Muslim world would love us and that didn’t happen. Trump was brilliant in choosing Mattis, the man is a BS right in your face and decisive leader, brought the fight hard and heavy to the enemy, decimated them and made sure to never tell the Media or the public about timetables or location, kept everyone in the dark and 9 months later, success, that’s how you do it, that’s real leadership.

Obama correctly stated that it would take a few years to defeat ISIS and it has played out that way. Trump said he would defeat them in 30 days and nothing changed in terms of strategy, etc. But the moron will take all the credit and say how great he is and what a leader. But we all know the truth.
