I sure hope Kim is sincere, but I'll laugh my arse off if Master Negotiator Trump is played like the fool he is by a 30-something Kim.

Watch "Appentice", you might learn Trump like doing high profile but silly things this is for sure! Now he is bringing his show to Kim JonUn! But I wonder how can trump fire K.J.?

"Let's leave it a little bit short of the highest level."

What a tool.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

A tool that barely has a grasp on the English language.

@ Tommy- yup plus he's a nut as well as a spanner.

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

Kobe: Thanks for the extra laugh!

The head of the CIA is in talks with North Korea? Is he there as head of state or head of CIA? Even though he doesn't have the job yet?

What in the h-e-l-l is Donald up to now.

If this isn't the screwiest administration in U.S. history....

Does this mean that Pompeo did not disclose this trip during confirmation hearings, even in a closed session?

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has to translate Trump's guff into English.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Why doesn’t @Kobe have 25 upvotes? I fell off my chair, you made my day.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

“extremely high levelS” doesn’t mean “the highest level”, right?

nitpcking words to deflect from the historical nature of what Trump is getting done here. Most of you still trying to say this won’t happen, yet it’s happening. so gotta find something to whine about.

Oh.my.god this is collusion! They made a back channel! They didn’t tell congress! Pick whichever you like.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

yet it’s happening.

Totally agree. NK will not only abandon its nuclear weapons and ICBM programs but also scrap its short-range missiles and return Japanese abductees - and all due to the genius of Trump! Well, either that or the wall each of his predecessors have confronted. Really, it's not so much what you predict which will occur as to what response will ensue.

That’s correct. A very stable genius. Who rather than ignoring the issue and leaving it for the next person is confronting it head on and doing what he can to resolve it.

The last guy didn’t even get close enough to see a barrier to this getting done. Just closed eyes and tried to wish it away.

Kim Kong Um had his half-brother killed last year and that America kid also suffered terrible treatment before being returned home to the US where he promptly passed away. Not to mention the stuff we never hear about.

I agree with VP Pence who said that "America stands up to murderous regimes", I'd like to see this one taken down somehow. Keeping this military regime in existence is no good for the North Korean people, nor its neighbouring countries - only China and Russia might beg to differ, but they ought to get over it if they care about humanity in North Korea. Oh yeah they don't!

2 ( +3 / -1 )

the problem is that NK is connected to the big C.

A very stable genius doesn't have a lawyer that gets raided by the FBI; doesn't constantly backtrack when not doing complete 180s, etc.

After seeing what has just happened in Syria, I doubt the North Koreans are going to be in a rush to give uo their nukes.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Just curious, how does a CIA director get into North Korea without being seen or shot at?

Just drive up the Reunification Highway, or sneak through Panmunjeom and board a North Korean chopper? By himself?

Or take an Air Koryo flight from Beijing? They seem to have spare capacity these days .......

Forget all this rhetoric, if the unlikely coupling of Kim Jon Un and Donald Trump can pull this off, it will be a great achievement.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

all trump has to do is create a false flag missile launch the day before the meeting and then get france, UK and japan to attack.

Or arrange through diplomatic channels for a government aircraft from Washington to land at Pyongyang's International airport.

Or did you just assume Director Pompeo snuck in and knocked on the Supreme Leader's back door?

Dear god......

3 ( +5 / -2 )

yup plus he's a nut as well as a spanner.

indeed, the screwiest administration ever!

There are diplomatic channels that can arrange a flight from Washington to Pyongyang? I didn't know that. I do know that when former US President Carter flew to Pyongyang, he made a stopover in Tokyo.

Trump knows K.J. has no intention to denuclearize, actually K.J. is not a fool like Saddam/Gaddafi. Mr.Preseident wants to build a casino alongside the Yalu river to attract Chinese gamblers, just like those in Macau. That is what he and K.J. have in common!

The head of the CIA is in talks with North Korea? Is he there as head of state or head of CIA? Even though he doesn't have the job yet?

He can because everyone news he will be confirmed as such he can take an active role while the position is vacant.

What in the h-e-l-l is Donald up to now.

Getting something done that the last president couldn’t as well as the two previous presidents before him.

If this isn't the screwiest administration in U.S. history....

I thought the last one was.

Does this mean that Pompeo did not disclose this trip during confirmation hearings, even in a closed session?

Probably, Which she doesn’t have to do, as long as the president knows which I’m assuming he does.

So let's see, we have no Sec of State right now, and a guy with zero international credibility or experience, a guy who has not secured the advice and consent of the Senate, is out there taking secret meetings with a dangerous adversary.

Just can't imagine what could be wrong with this picture.

This whole cesspool of an administration is a complete disgrace.

CNN:

Pompeo sets an irreversible course to meet Kim that Trump may not want

hahahaha I can’t breathe! Liberals said Wasn’t gonna happen first . Now it’s irreversible and must happen. But the guy who asked for it (Trump) may not want it? Hahahaha

I think it's a good idea that they talk, without conditions. Even if a deal isn't made it's always good to get two people into a room talking.

@Super

Finally, a reasonable, intelligent statement. I've always thought that the game of dueling diatribes makes both sides look bad.

Thank you for your astute observation.

@ tommy and good luck cheers your welcome ;o) guess some people dont like it when Adolf Twitter get put down.

Tommy Jones - A very stable genius doesn't have a lawyer that gets raided by the FBI; doesn't constantly backtrack when not doing complete 180s, etc.

And yet

Pompeo had secret meeting with N Korean leader, says U.S. official

Both sides are talking. Maybe it will lead to something. I doubt that the talks between the two will be hijacked by democrat party talking points, unlike this thread.

So sad that the usual suspects here are so driven with hatred that they would rather see continued tension and violence on the Korean Peninsula than the President be seen as successful
