So, yes, still banging on

No, having fun even more, you provide a lot of reasons for that.

Green men (a lie quickly outed), military tourists in eastern Ukraine, blowing airlines out of the sky (Russian BUK ), Skripal story

Yawn. Unable to answer simple questions, repeating the same propaganda mantra instead? Better answer why the West instigated the coup in Ukraine, covered for the Nazi regime it installed there when they shot down the Malaysian jet (the missile was Soviet-made but in the armoury of Ukrainian forces), why the West staged the Skripal hoax and why it meddles in internal affairs of other countries?

So the Russians had the whole day to ready the block ship to stop the 3 vessels that were so called disrupting the passage of other ships... yeah, that make sense. #notbuyingit

Who cares what are you buying? The fact is that the Russians did what was right to stop the speeding idiots.

Before writing any other funny stuff answer two questions: 1. Why the Ukrainian boats intentionally broke the rules of the passage they've observed before? 2. What would US Coast Guard would do if it confronts ships that stubbornly ignore the order to stop in that situation?

Time to tighten sanctions, ramp up defense spending, restore US military presence in Europe to Cold War strength

As Chuck Norris said in one of his movies, "Stop talking and just do it". Want to ride your country even further in debt? Go for it. Chinese would be delighted.

Oh no, I'm just having fun. It's really fun to watch you zigzagging, unable to answer simple questions.

So, yes, still banging on. I’m the one laughing. If this you having fun, wasting your time, have at it, power to you, it’s your choice. As long you realise we aint buying it.

Green men (a lie quickly outed), military tourists in eastern Ukraine, blowing airlines out of the sky (Russian BUK ), Skripal story, GRU pushing wherever you can, meddling in western elections, pressing the Baltics, etc etc on and on clear Russian aggressive posture. And each one accompanied by a blitz of RT IRA lowinfo-targeted spin. So, at this point I think you’ve expended all your credibility capital.

Again, you know and I know this was premeditated.

 The Russians had the whole day to ready the blockship.

So the Russians had the whole day to ready the block ship to stop the 3 vessels that were so called disrupting the passage of other ships... yeah, that make sense. #notbuyingit

And again, any objections to putting OSCE observers in there?

Time to tighten sanctions, ramp up defense spending, restore US military presence in Europe to Cold War strength.

@gcbel

Still banging on for the rubes?

Oh no, I'm just having fun. It's really fun to watch you zigzagging, unable to answer simple questions.

@So, no green men?

First things first, right? First were active Western support and direct participation in the unlawful coup d'etat in Ukraine (by the way, what about interference in internal affairs?), McCain, Nuland, EU leaders on the streets of Kiev with their inflammatory speeches, and only then there was the Crimean referendum. The West must blame its own stupidity for what happened in 2014 in Crimea.

it's deliberate, premeditated action to let Ukraine know who's boss

False statement. Amonf documents captured on the boats there was a manual how to break through the strait, in clear violation of all maritime laws. It were Ukrainians who took the deliberate, premeditated action. Merkel already advised the Ukrainians "to be sensible". Not only Ukrainians should heed to this advice, some of their active supporters too.

@lostrune2

Ok then, if the Ukrainian boats did not ask, how did the Russians know to block the strait in advance? Were they already planning to block the strait regardless?

The Ukrainian boats intruded into Russian territorial waters early in the morning of 25th, and only in the evening, about 8 pm, the Russian coast guard ships, after all their warnings failed, opened fire and captured the intruders. The Russians had the whole day to ready the blockship.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Still banging on for the rubes? Really?

No green men in Crimea, no Russian soldiers in eastern Ukraine.

So, no green men? No Russian soldiers on vacay in the Ukray? No BuK missile launchers crossing the border?

Nothing else to say? Note the ducking the question about coast guard.

You want me to say the coast guard question made me laugh? Yes, was quite funny imagining that this all boiled down to Russian concerns about waterway safety and territorial integrity, ugh please. You know, I know it's deliberate, premeditated action to let Ukraine know who's boss, to put economic pressure on Ukraine and particularly on the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk, to see what kind of response they'll see from the West... gray zone conflict.

Read the WaPo article (and I mean anyone interested, not you particularly).

According to the Russians, the Ukrainian boats did not ask for the right to pass the strait at all, there were no initial plans to sail to the Azov Sea.

Ok then, if the Ukrainian boats did not ask, how did the Russians know to block the strait in advance? Were they already planning to block the strait regardless?

@gcbel

No green men in Crimea, no Russian soldiers in eastern Ukraine... oh please

No Western instigating of the coup in 2014, no Nuland or McCain in Kiev... oh please

Nothing else to say? Note the ducking the question about coast guard.

@englisc aspyrgend

the Crimea is Ukrainian territory

Populace of the Crimea begs to differ. If the West so eagerly recognized Kosovo, why it refuses to recognize Crimea?

it is not Russian territorial waters

No, it's Russian. Anyway, seafaring rules are universal and must be always observed. The U.S. did not recognized the incorporation of the three Baltic republics into USSR, but when U.S. ships visited Baltic ports they observed all maritime rules.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Asakaze, it is not Russian territorial waters, the Crimea is Ukrainian territory currently illegally occupied by an invading Russian force.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Sure, sure... keep banging on for the rubes. No green men in Crimea, no Russian soldiers in eastern Ukraine... oh please.

Let’s puts some international observers in there.

It’s just noise and disinformation

Good description of Western propaganda apparatus.

According to treaty Ukranian warships are not required to

Due to heavy traffic in the strait all ships (including Russian-flagged) are required to inform in advance about their planned passage. Safety of shipping. In September 2 Ukrainian warships informed about their plans and passed the strait without any hindrance.

 The cargo ship was deliberately positioned that way

Yes, after the Ukrainian ships caused a massive disarray near the strait, disrupting the passage of other ships, ignoring the traffic control and warnings by the coast guard.

 I have a question. What would happen if a foreign warship tries to enter US territorial waters without prior notification and after stubbornly ignoring coast guard's warnings?

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

At least Russians give facts that can be checked.

Oh, please. Russian propaganda mill gives anything but facts. It’s just noise and disinformation. You know it and I know it. Now maybe you’ll convince a few rubes.

According to the Russians, the Ukrainian boats did not ask for the right to pass the strait at all

According to treaty Ukranian warships are not required to. Russia may not unilaterally change treaties.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/monkey-cage/wp/2018/11/28/russia-and-ukraine-had-a-short-naval-battle-heres-what-you-need-to-know/?utm_term=.30cac5e4f07e

traffic cops do the same when confront a speeding idiot before he kills somebody.

oh geez. Is that the ridiculous line for today? The cargo ship was deliberately positioned that way.

Let’s puts some OSCE monitors in there. Would Russia accept, I wonder.

@englisc aspyrgend

Add in Putin’s serious loss of approval rating and his record of using the tyrants favourite tool for distracting the masses, foreign adventures. Unless you are a Russian troll, the conclusion is self evident

With this loss Putin's approval rating is still high. Compare it with Poroshenko's dismal rating in less then half year before elections, coupled with economic meltdown. He is more then anybody I interested "distracting the masses by foreign adventures". Unless you are a Western troll, the conclusion is self evident.

@gcbel

 zero credibility there

At least Russians give facts that can be checked. Western and Ukrainian sources provide nothing but propaganda noise.

Note that ducking the question about the blocking cargo ship

Seriously, you need an explanation? Hint: traffic cops do the same when confront a speeding idiot before he kills somebody.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

According to the Russians,

Yeah, zero credibility there.

Note that ducking the question about the blocking cargo ship. Yeah, premeditated act of agression.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The Ukrainians say they notified the Russians, the Russians claim they didn’t but they had a convenient cargo ship blocking passage? The Ukrainian ships turned around rather than force the issue even though they had the legal right to transit the straights and only then the Russians attacked them.

Add in Putin’s serious loss of approval rating and his record of using the tyrants favourite tool for distracting the masses, foreign adventures.

Unless you are a Russian troll, the conclusion is self evident.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Heh, it would be kind of funny if the Ukraine started trolling Russia and posting fake news on Russian social media over this incident.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

According to the Russians, the Ukrainian boats did not ask for the right to pass the strait at all, there were no initial plans to sail to the Azov Sea. They just barged into the territorial waters, ignoring shore sea traffic control and the coast guard. Among 24 people on board of these boats there were 2 security service cadres who obviously were in charge of this clear-cut provocation.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Since the 2003 treaty is in effect, the Ukraine ships has the right to transit the strait into the other side which is Ukrainian territory

That’s correct. And two months ago the Russians allowed 2 Ukrainian warships to transit the strait without any problems. All that Ukrainians had to do was to inform in advance about the passage and observe the usual maritime rules (the strait is very busy with merchant traffic). But this time they would not.

The Ukrainian ships said they did inform the Russians in advance

Are the Russians saying they didn't?

According to the Ukrainians, they informed the Russians in advance, but did not get a response. When they got to the strait, they found it blocked by the Russians (which Russia should not do unilaterally - it's a shared strait, not owned by one or the other). When they saw that they couldn't get around it, they decided to turn back around. And that's when the Russians went after them.

What are the Russians saying on their side?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Russia is always the bad guy but the U.S. is always the good guy, LOL.

Thought it was: China is always the bad guy...?

Martial law is just an excuse by the vile Ukrainian government. Ukraine has already been invaded by Russia - they ANNEXED Crimea, remember? President Obama imposed sanctions on Russia for that but we all know Spankee boy Don just can't do that, can he? After all, Trump is Putin's lap dog and besides - what Obama does has to be 'undone', amiright?

“No Western participation in the coup d’etat in Ukraine in 2014”.

Fanatics are dangerous people. Whether it is Al Qaieda, ISIS, the Clintonist cult, anti-Putin fanatics - these people are a blight to the human race.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

"No Russian troops in Crimea"

Heh. Fanatics are dangerous people. I don't mean the paid contributors I mean the real Beliebers.

Whether it beal Qaida or ISIS, the Trump cult or the Putin fanatics - these people are a blight to the human race.

Erratic maneuvering, provocative behavior. Only one good thing: Ukrainian crews were clever enough, they did not want to die for their idiotic president, and they quickly surrendered when they understood they went too far.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Russia is always the bad guy but the U.S. is always the good guy, LOL. If you compare the U.S. and Russia side by side, in my opinion the U.S. has done a lot more bad things in it's on country and around the world!! The genocide of American Indians, the enslavement of black people, the Civil War, Jim Crow, the Vietnam War, the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, the support of genocide in Yemen, and look at even today, the continuation of Police Brutality against minorities and the number of gun related deaths in the United States.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Russian President Vladimir Putin has seen his high approval rating fall because of unpopular domestic policies. In the past, successful military action beyond Russia's borders has buoyed his popularity.

Seems Putin's dip in recent popular polls due to unpopular raising of retirement ages has been having unintended consequences

Through a 2003 treaty designates the Kerch Strait and Sea of Azov as shared territorial waters

Since the 2003 treaty is in effect, the Ukraine ships has the right to transit the strait into the other side which is Ukrainian territory

Russia shouldn't be blocking it unilaterally

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Hilarious. Ukrainian warships illegally entered Russian territorial waters, but the whole army of Western trolls tries to pursuade the world that it is all Russian fault. I wonder what will happen if, for example, Argentinian warships enter without permission the waters near the Malvinas.

Of course. Cue now RT, Sputnik and troll army to unleash tidal wave of phony narratives and propaganda.

Best course of action in the face of Russian agressive posture is for the West, ramp up military spending, ramp up economic sanctions and sanctions on Putin’s buddies...

1 ( +4 / -3 )

PT,

That's actually big money in a third world country !

2 ( +3 / -1 )

. US$1,000. a month still?

Lol keep em coming P. I do find your appeal to constant Russia bashing laughable seeing that as long as the rules of M.A.D exist, absolutely nothing is going to change contrary to your obsessive need for it to. This is fact. So yeah, keep on banging against the wall.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

@fredwJust noisy Russia laced conspiracy theories please.

Pushing them is his and your jobs. You must be grateful the 'western' free press allows you to make a living. US$1,000. a month still? Pond scum level work, but I guess that fits

4 ( +7 / -3 )

U.S. President Donald Trump said he did not like what was happening between Russia and Ukraine and was working with European leaders on the situation.

Trump will wait until Putin calls to tell him Russia's not trying to re-establish and expand its empire, that it can't be proved there are Russian forces already in Ukraine, that it's just the 'western' media fabricating stories, and tell Trump 'the west is worse'.

Then Trump will say he agrees with Putin, just like Trump agreed with Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud when he said he knew nothing about Khashoggi's murder.

Trump, a despot wannabe, a despot enabler.
