I feel for Trump's position though. He has to walk a delicate line, after all, every mass gun murder since 2016 in the US has been by a Republican, but he can't go around condemning his own team. So he has to find a way to dance between these two issues, and well, Trump isn't the best dancer. It's easy to see the correlation between Trump's violent rhetoric and racist rants and the El Paso shooter. Motive is less clear with the Dayton murderer. But you're wrong in your analysis, which is basically "my killer is better than your killer" dressed up in faux concern.

Both murderers had access to guns. Both had strong political views.
