Not even a complete transcript, nor the detail of the whistleblower complaint and there’s enough there to impeach.

Trump supporter (pathetic) spinning of an act where they’d certainly call to impeach a Democrat president... priceless!

3 ( +4 / -1 )

He is, but hey, it’s ok,

It's not ok, it's disgraceful that someone as unintelligent, as dishonest as Barr is at that position. But then we have different standards for honesty I guess.

Biden is done, take it to the bank.

But we definitely should have the same standards for reality, because this is just a delusion to forget the fact that Donny is sinking deeper and deeper into his swamp.

Now let’s see how he fares with answering questions about Hunter and his brother.

He seems to be doing that really well with our resorting to lies like Donny.

However Donny seems to have gone downhill rapidly, he has no energy, his speed is slow, confused and he find it difficult to pronounce even the easiest of words .

I am really worried about Donny's mental health.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

You mean Donnie's admission in the transcript - in black and white....

Honestly, here we go again, let’s see the Dems failures: Mueller, Stormy, Cohen, Strzok, Comey, Billy Bush tapes, collusion, Taxes, 25 amendment, attacks on the Squad, Russia, Russia, Russia and now this latest joke? Ok, yaaawn let’s get this behind us, I’m waiting for the next smart scheme the Dems will come up with.

Yes, transcripts revealed Donnie asked for a "favor" - while putting a freeze on the military aid three days before. Done - order the orange jumpsuit....

But no quid pro quo, that’s the money shot that Dems hope to get, so good luck trying to climb that hill, really!

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

OK, I've got it now - using the Trumper excuse that he did nothing wrong in asking a "favor" from the Ukrainian President to investigate Biden's son, I guess it would have been fine for President Obama to say to President Xi in 2016; "You know Trump gets his clothing line made in China, and Ivanka her shoes - that seems awful suspicious given his China is an unfair trader talk, maybe you should have your Justice Ministry look into that".... All the while an aid package for Taiwan is on hold that Beijing wants to kill.

Right Trumpers - no problem, huh?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

No he isn't,

He is, but hey, it’s ok, Biden is done, take it to the bank. I’m not trying to gloat, but it doesn’t matter how liberals spin it, he won’t make it and besides, liberals know he can’t beat Trump, this is why they’re putting their eggs in one basket and hope.....pray, if that’s possible for liberals that Warren can beat Trump.

But I guess we have different standards for intelligence.

I guess so, but what can’t be denied is that Biden did have a decent run for the 3rd time, sure was interesting. Now let’s see how he fares with answering questions about Hunter and his brother.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

but to the DOJ and Barr who’s smarter than all of us

No he isn't, he didn't understand the Mueller report and lied to the public while explaining the summary.

But I guess we have different standards for intelligence.

he pressured for the prosecutor to be fired or the money that was promised will be withheld,

You obviously didn't read what was posted.

Bribery and quid pro quo’s will get anyone jogging.

It sure set Donny sprinting, and watching Donny sprint or at least try to sprint is hilarious.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

No it doesn't, that is if you understand English.

Ok, it doesn’t make sense to you, but to the DOJ and Barr who’s smarter than all of us on JT put together it does, so he’ll be....actually, they’re already looking into it.

Lets see what you left out, US, EU Allies, IMF and Ukrainian opposition wanted the prosecutor out.

Yes and since Biden in his own words said, he pressured for the prosecutor to be fired or the money that was promised will be withheld, that’s a very serious bribe coming from the former VP, but now it’s all abundantly clear as to why Obama didn’t endorse this guy. Lol

Again let me explain what you left out, the prosecutor was refusing to investigate corruption , that is the reason he was pushed out.

Bribery and quid pro quo’s will get anyone jogging.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Now we need to understand why Donny asked the Ukrainian PM to work with the court jester Giuliani?

Did Rudy(who openly admitted he was looking for dirt on Biden) have a government role we don't know about.

Since Rudy admitted he had a government role (on Fox),then is it acceptable practice for someone from the government to try to dig up dirt on an opposition leader.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

The Video says otherwise,

No it doesn't, that is if you understand English.

December 2015 Joe Biden first pressured Ukrainian leaders to fire the prosecutor that was leading the investigation into Burisma holdings, the same company that was paying Hunter Biden $50,000 a month.

Lets see what you left out, US, EU Allies, IMF and Ukrainian opposition wanted the prosecutor out.

March 2016 Joe Biden leveraged a billion (again billion with a B) dollars in US aid to get the prosecutor who was probing Burisma and Hunter Joe Biden fired.

Again let me explain what you left out, the prosecutor was refusing to investigate corruption , that is the reason he was pushed out.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

This is what happens when you elect an Amoral, Pathological Liar, with the IQ of a Hamster and the emotional control of a mentally damaged toddler as president. He is literally incapable of comprehending that he has done something wrong.

And That is exactly why Biden will never be President.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

This is what happens when you elect an Amoral, Pathological Liar, with the IQ of a Hamster and the emotional control of a mentally damaged toddler as president. He is literally incapable of comprehending that he has done something wrong.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Those who understand English understand that there was no Biden admission.

The Video says otherwise, unless there was someone impersonating him or mentally controlled him forcing him to admit what he did.

He asked Ukraine to remove someone whom the US government, EU and a lot of other people wanted out.

December 2015 Joe Biden first pressured Ukrainian leaders to fire the prosecutor that was leading the investigation into Burisma holdings, the same company that was paying Hunter Biden $50,000 a month.

March 2016 Joe Biden leveraged a billion (again billion with a B) dollars in US aid to get the prosecutor who was probing Burisma and Hunter Joe Biden fired.

This is where the tulips are coming in. Again, he’s done, Biden’s problems are just the beginning of what will be a huge nightmare and headache for the man.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Since most of the GOP is neutered its unlikely Donny will be impeached. Unless we start finding new stuff , more mind boggling and criminal than this one.

After all Criminality is everyday business for Donny and his crew.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

For the millionth time, why does JOE BIDEN care about a corrupt prosecutor in the Ukraine? Does he travel the world looking for corrupt prosecutors to fire? Why didnt he look in his own country first, plenty in the USA. Did he withhold aid from any OTHER country for having corrupt prosecutors? Or just the one where conveniently his son works?

lolololol For the millionth time, why does DONALD TRUMP care about a corrupt prosecutor in Ukraine? This all happened 5 years ago. Trump's been in office 2.5/3 years ago. I'm sure its just a coincide this all happened the day after the Mueller report was released? I'm sure its just a coincidence that he asked Ukraine to investigate the Democrat front runner. Totally a coincidence. ;)

To answer your question: Because we're talking about our tax dollars. Would you be happier if we just helicoptered money all over the place? riiiiggghhhhtttt

If Donny is so innocent, why won't he release the whistle blower report?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

For the millionth time, why does JOE BIDEN care about a corrupt prosecutor in the Ukraine?

Late to the show? Not only Biden, the US government, the EU etc etc were concerned about the prosecutor . There's plenty of reading available other than Faux...

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Those who understand English understand that there was no Biden admission.

He asked Ukraine to remove someone whom the US government, EU and a lot of other people wanted out.

However Donny on the other hand.......

But then there are others who don't understand English.... and a lot of them are Trumplets.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

transcripts revealed,

These are not transcripts, as the White House itself has made clear. However, they do seem to be based on recordings. It is not a complete account.

You can bet what the WH has not revealed is a lot more damning.

For the millionth time, why does JOE BIDEN care about a corrupt prosecutor in the Ukraine?

For the same reason a number of other governments cared. Shokin was ineffective in prosecuting corruption. Aid was tied to cleaning up the mess from the previous Ukrainian (Russian-backed) regime.

Shokin was pulled off the Burisma Holdings case before Joe Biden took any action.

Trump calls Shokin "very good" and the way he was sacked "unfair". Think about that for a minute or two.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

BINGO! No evidence! Zero!

Except for Biden’s own verbal admission, busted.

.

On the other hand, we have Trump, after freezing aide for no reason, telling the Ukrainian President to talk to his PERSONAL lawyer, and a member of his ELECTION Team, about a political rival, openly inviting a foreign government to interfere in our election.

Let’s see, transcripts revealed, Trump offers unclassified transcripts from his first phone call, no quid pro quo, no exchange of money or aid being withheld...once again the Dems are holding an empty grenade.

The dots are all there -

Yes, Hunter is hiding somewhere in LA and his uncle....well, they’ll find him soon, let’s see what they know and when did they know it.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

I read the transcript.

https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/6429022/Trump-Zelensky-Call.pdf

What a strange conversation. I kind of agree with Sanders (I think it's him who said that) about the mafia like part. Lot of unsaid, bargaining, ... Not just the Biden part is creepy.

Zelenskyy must be so not happy about the transcript of his part. Even taking in account it is politics and he is talking to Trump, that seems still a lot.

The end is fascinating : 2 times Zelenskyy call Trump by his official title : "Mr President" (he did it also before) but Trump, peanuts. Did he not get the memo ? He is not your lackey, he is "Mr President" too.

After, for Biden, I do not really get what Trump supporter are talking about. Biden father and son are US citizen, so if they did something bad, they can just be prosecuted in US. No need to seek help from another president.

@bass4funk

I personally think he had every right to inquire about his political rival

I hope the law prove your personal thinking wrong because if a President can use his power and the mean of the country to inquire about opponent, I think there is something wrong with the job entitlement. These power and mean are to benefice the people of the country not the one winning the election. Trump acted as a President not as a candidate. Everyone should be able to draw the line.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

"There was no pressure, no quid-pro-quo (a phrase I'm sure he didn't know until recently), and no we didn't hold back any funds -- we paid them, I Believe. And yes, I'd withold them again!"

imagine being Trumps lawyer, now just sit down dont say anything and say exactly what I tell you to say when I tell you to say it. 5 minutes later Trump stands up and spills the beans. lol Trumps ego will be his downfall.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Watch how they come out to vote this time.Thank you Nancy!

just like they did in the midterms, remember women voters outnumber men,

people are becoming tired of the lies deceit treatment of minorities, insult to the democratic process. 2020 election still a yr away plenty of time to turnover more corruption under Trump, im guessing there much more of it to be hidden under all the Orange camouflage

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I could not see how anybody could replace Trump with these....

people who want to see the Constitution upheld? Who want to try to prevent 'foreign' nations from further 'meddling' in US affairs? Who want to see consumer, worker and environmental protection measures retained? Who don't want to see the country further splintered? Who don't think politicians should hire their own family members? Who don't think it's acceptable for a president's businesses to profit while he's in office?

I can easily see how there could be millions who could replace him. And hope one of them does.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

For the millionth time, why does JOE BIDEN care about a corrupt prosecutor in the Ukraine? Does he travel the world looking for corrupt prosecutors to fire? Why didnt he look in his own country first, plenty in the USA. Did he withhold aid from any OTHER country for having corrupt prosecutors? Or just the one where conveniently his son works?

He was canned for being a corrupt prosecutor.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Uh no, Trump was elected, not just given the job to get close to his Daddy who was the decision maker on billions of dollars of aid.

And he doesnt even make $50,000 per month like Biden kid did. And he returns that salary to the government each quarter. Try again.

Isn't that the same as Trump becoming president, zero experience and a guaranteed salary of $50,000?

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

I can see absolutely nothing wrong, but even if there was, I could not see how anybody could replace Trump with these....( ) i mean wtf? where did they find these people? How did they even get into government? Are their constituents on meth? I mean...god dang, I could understand some discontent with Trump but these? you would find better qualified people in the penitentiary.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

It appears that this is another thing . . . adding to previous actions, to form a conglomeration of discontent among those in the U. S. Congress.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Trump is behaving a lot like a mobster by the way he's using extortion.

If you give me A (dirt on Biden) then I will give you B (military aid).

Yep, it's extortion plain as day, and that's criminal behavior.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

"... until corruption like with Joe Biden and his son is investigated."

5 ( +5 / -0 )

bass4funk: "Now we know for sure the former Vice president was caught in the act of colluding and intimidating an ally."

No, now we know for sure that Trump has once again made accusations without a shred of evidence, to which Giuliani says, "We have the evidence, but won't give it to you" as he wipes the sweat of his brow and loses his voice from lying so much, and as his eyes shoot from his head with every inhalation. Where's the proof, bass? On the contrary, the whistle-blower complaint, which must LEGALLY be handed over, is being hidden by the President and his sycophants because they KNOW it contains proof of what is being said about the president's treason. And now his newly appointed acting director of national intelligence is threatening to resign if he's not allowed to speak freely -- which once again the president and his bootlickers are trying to stop by any means necessary.

Trump has already impeached himself, bass. He is so utterly arrogant and stupid that he literally cannot stop incriminating himself. He literally, in the same breath, says, "There was no pressure, no quid-pro-quo (a phrase I'm sure he didn't know until recently), and no we didn't hold back any funds -- we paid them, I Believe. And yes, I'd withold them again!"

7 ( +8 / -1 )

So a prosecutor gets replaced at Biden insistence for looking into Biden son company. As the next prosecutor dont you just realize what the “correct answer” is and just do that?

lol that's not what he was canned. He was canned for being a corrupt prosecutor. He wasn't prosecuting anyone. Enough with the lies, this has already been explained to you in other threads.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Not until they have a passing vote on articles of impeachment it’s not. When’s the vote Dems?

Failure to comply with a Congressional subpoena during an impeachment proceeding is in fact an impeachable offense -

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

So a prosecutor gets replaced at Biden insistence for looking into Biden son company. As the next prosecutor dont you just realize what the “correct answer” is and just do that?

The prosecutor who replaced him, Yuriy Lutsenko, told Reuters on Friday that no wrongdoing was found on the part of Biden's son in his relationship with the energy firm.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

According to Stephen Colbert, there was one line left out of the transcript;

Trump: Hey Zelensky, if you want some help with Crimea, you need to do some crime with mea, capiche?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Trump has repeatedly suggested wrongdoing by Biden and his son but has offered no evidence to back up the assertion.

The prosecutor who replaced him, Yuriy Lutsenko, told Reuters on Friday that no wrongdoing was found on the part of Biden's son in his relationship with the energy firm.

BINGO! No evidence! Zero!

According to the summary, Trump told Zelenskiy that Attorney General William Barr, the top U.S. law enforcement official, and Trump personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani would speak to him about reopening a Ukrainian investigation into a Ukrainian gas company for which Biden's son Hunter had served as director.

On the other hand, we have Trump, after freezing aide for no reason, telling the Ukrainian President to talk to his PERSONAL lawyer, and a member of his ELECTION Team, about a political rival, openly inviting a foreign government to interfere in our election.

The United States has been giving military aid to Ukraine since Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014. The $391.5 million in aid at issue in the current controversy was approved by Congress to help Ukraine deal with an insurgency by Russian-backed separatists in the eastern part of the country

And Donnie froze it - Hmmmm......

The dots are all there - in plain sight...abuse of authority, conspiracy, corruption....all at the feet of the Great Orange Felon in the White House...

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Watch the predictions, Bass. If we’d have gambled on the polar opposite of what you predicted in the last election in terms of the Republican nomination and the outcome, we’d all be flying private like you.

Hardly, I always said, the prediction at the time was for Hillary to be the winner and they were all wrong....too bad I wasn’t there to see Podesta at the pre-moment of popping that Champagne cork. Needless to say, we all learned and definitely I learned, it doesn’t matter what these mostly liberal hating media will say. They even say, Biden can beat Trump. ROFL.....uh-huh....

More KISS from Trump supporters, more binary-ating (sic) complex issues, another example of partisan extremist's 'it can only be A or Z, nothing in between'.

Partisan? Funny when liberals call Trump supporters partisan when their media surrogate lapdogs are the most partisan loyalists out there pushing for impeachment for the last 3 years.

Sadly it's that level of simple mindedness that reached many in Trump's base who were swayed by easily remembered and repeated slogans and contributed to his being elected. No wonder Putin's keyboard brigades target NRA and KKK followers.

Yeah, well now we know for certain undeniably without a shadow of a doubt that Biden did offer a quid pro quo and that he colluded with the Ukrainians bragged about it threatened the prosecutor that was looking into his son, a man that makes a fortune of over $3 million with zero experience, how many people make that kind of money just like that? Now we know for sure the former Vice president was caught in the act of colluding and intimidating an ally.

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

ZELENSKY: The last time I was in New York I stayed at the Trump Tower. We’ll be very serious about that investigation of Biden’s son.

TRUMP: Good. Giuliani and Barr will call you.

Two questions: Why is Trump dragging the AG into this, and what role under what auspices does his private attorney play in public government?

Trump is always cagey, like the mafia: "Nice country ya got there. It'd be a shame if something happened to it." What I'm more interested in is the conversations between Giuliani and Barr. Trump has in effect privitized the Justice Department.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

The dopey Dems were duped again. This has only emboldened the TRUMP base. Watch how they come out to vote this time.

Thank you Nancy!

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

bass: I personally think he had every right to inquire about his political rival, both sides have the right to do opposition research

You're cool with the President offering up the Attorney General of the United States for opposition research?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

@bas4So it’s at least for now Trump and Warren and the people will need to decide if they want

No one is above the law except the Bidens. They should be investigated...

Agreed. Let any accusations of wrongdoing be investigated, and let justice prevail. May the Bidens go to prison if they're found guilty of anything. Yet it's odd, isn't it - in spite of Trump talking to the Ukrainian president about investigating them absolutely nothing has happened.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I personally think he had every right to inquire about his political rival, both sides have the right to do opposition research, it’s how you use that information and if you use it nefariously for political gain...

That's a pretty dumb comment. What's the point of "opposition research" if you're not going to use it for political gain?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

U.S. President Donald Trump pressed Ukraine's president to investigate a political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden, in coordination with the U.S. attorney general and Trump's personal lawyer, according to a summary of a momentous telephone call released by the Trump administration on Wednesday.

That really says it all, doesn't it...after Trump put a hold on vital military aide supported by both his State and Defense Depts. Why the hold Donnie, if you weren't going to coerce the Ukrainian President?

Trump, Barr, and Rudy all need to be investigated for their corruption and held accountable. And did you see Rudy's nut-job meltdown on Ingraham's show - ranting and raving like Charles Manson. Someone needs an intervention quick and a room at the old folks home.

https://www.mediamatters.org/rudy-giuliani/watch-rudy-giulianis-meltdown-during-fox-news-interview-laura-ingraham

This goes far beyond Nixon's level of corruption....

Put down your Sharpie Donnie, there's no way to draw your way out of this one...you're toast....

2 ( +4 / -2 )

I predicted that at some point Trump fans would have to choose between Trump, a proven scammer and known pathological liar, and the US Constitution.

Looks like that time has come. We have proof that Trump used his position as President for personal gain by asking a foreign leader to investigate his political rival, even offering up the time and resources of the Attorney General.

Choose wisely.

Trump cultists abandoned any sense of propriety or dignity long ago.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Biden will never be President, take that to the bank, it just won’t happen

Watch the predictions, Bass. If we’d have gambled on the polar opposite of what you predicted in the last election in terms of the Republican nomination and the outcome, we’d all be flying private like you.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

His campaign for President is going strong considering that the current President seems close to losing.

I know you didn’t say that with a straight face. ROFL! Biden will never be President, take that to the bank, it just won’t happen. He’s 21 points down, Warren passed him, he’s just on borrowed time now.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

Biden's term as Vice President is over.

Hate to break it to you Biden stopped being Vice President in 2016. His campaign for President is going strong considering that the current President seems close to losing his job.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Can any Trump supporters here just say something along the lines of “Trump shouldn’t have done that

No free pass. I personally think he had every right to inquire about his political rival, both sides have the right to do opposition research, it’s how you use that information and if you use it nefariously for political gain then that would be a criminal act.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

How Lindsey Graham describes the call:

"There’s nothing in this phone call other than ‘Congratulations, you won. We’ve been generous to the Ukraine, other people need to pay more. And oh, by the way, you’re right. I’m glad you’re looking at corruption. This prosecutor they tell me was a good guy. You need to look at why he was fired,"

And that's it heh.

This is going to take a monumental, historic amount of shame the GOP will need to push through. And they're perfect men for the job.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Can any Trump supporters here just say something along the lines of “Trump shouldn’t have done that”?

I’m so glad I’m not a partisan. It rots your mind.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

He should take the Nixon route and resign.

It's too late. Biden's term as Vice President is over. His campaign for president is pretty much over as well.

The DOJ denied Barr was involved, but Giuliani confirmed on Fox that he was involved, not in a private capacity(as he claimed on CNN) but on behalf of the government.

Barr is tracing down evidence to prosecute those responsible for the aattempted coup.

I can't take so much sanctimoniousness this early in the morning. Save the self-righteous cant for when charges are actually brought against Joe Biden and Hunter Biden that lead to convictions.

So the rules are different for the Left. I see. Biden admits to quid pro quo in his official capacity as VP - crickets. Trump brings up Biden's criminal behavior to the new Ukrainian president elected on an anti-corruption platform and it's impeach, impeach, impeach. This after Russia, Russia, Russia. Please...

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

I predicted that at some point Trump fans would have to choose between Trump, a proven scammer and known pathological liar, and the US Constitution.

I disagree, I Changes anything that over the last three years it has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Democrats and then weaponizing the intelligence agency has shown a complete buyers and disregard for the rules of law will do anything lie and destroy anyone’s lives just in order to run to an election in a duly elected president. The constitution of duties of these people to swearing to uphold the law means absolutely nothing to them they use the constitution as toilet paper.

Looks like that time has come. We have proof that Trump used his position as President for personal gain by asking a foreign leader to investigate his political rival, even offering up the time and resources of the Attorney General.

And we also have to prove that the former vice president colluded with the Ukraine’s had a prosecutor fired, try to use his position for political leverage withheld aid and admitted to a quid pro quo, had his son working for a company getting paid an obscene amount of money with zero work experience and making close to $3 million a year not to mention to inspect the whistleblower that did not even hear the conversation or can testify to what was said on the telephone call between Trump and Ukrainian president. All this most definitely needs to be investigated and turned over to the AG.

Choose wisely.

I agree.

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

No one is above the law except the Bidens. They should be investigated and scrutinized like how Trump was investigated. People aren't stupid. The Dems and the media should be careful about how they want to pull wool over people's eyeballs. Trump may win the second time for the same reason he won last time. It's clear to me from day one that Trump was targeted because he's not one of them. I don't rate him highly but this is just ridiculous.

I can't take so much sanctimoniousness this early in the morning. Save the self-righteous cant for when charges are actually brought against Joe Biden and Hunter Biden that lead to convictions.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Don’t all people kicked out of the military for using cocaine get $50,000 per month board of director jobs in the energy sector with no experience?

0 ( +7 / -7 )

Trump said he would have Giuliani - a political ally with no formal role in the U.S. government - and Barr call him.

The DOJ denied Barr was involved, but Giuliani confirmed on Fox that he was involved, not in a private capacity(as he claimed on CNN) but on behalf of the government.

Can these guys get their lies in order, at least make them believable to people who have brains!!!!

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Trump has repeatedly suggested wrongdoing by Biden and his son but has offered no evidence to back up the assertion.

I suppose the "journalists" who wrote this piece missed Biden himself saying he would withhold aid to Ukraine until the prosecutor investigating his son's shady business deals was fired. The quid pro quo was done and the money was given to the then pro-Moscow Ukrainian regime. It took less than six hours for the law to be called off and his son to be gifted $50,000 a month for a fossil fuel gig just months after getting out of rehab for abusing drugs. Sounds like a payoff. By the way, the son had no background or experience in the fossil fuel industry. But what is evidence when there is a prosecution of the person who had the gall to beat the Dems in a can't lose election in 2016. It is clear that many are still nursing emotional wounds and remain in denial. The anger of Pelosi's minions is all consuming. Hey, if you can ignore Hillary violating campaign finance laws by funneling money to Putin for dirt on Trump in 2016 and for illegally transmitting classified material on her private unsecured network - I guess a congratulatory call to a winning presidential candidate seems like high treason requiring the death penalty.

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

I predicted that at some point Trump fans would have to choose between Trump, a proven scammer and known pathological liar, and the US Constitution.

**1. Trump, after congratulating Zelensky on his win, very quickly establishes that the United States has been very, very good to Ukraine. **"I will say that we do a lot for Ukraine. We spend a lot of effort and a lot of time. Much more than the European countries are doing and they should be helping you more than they are."

2. He then makes clear that the US does a lot more for Ukraine than Ukraine does for the US.

"I wouldn't say that it's reciprocal necessarily because things are happening that are not good but the United States has been very, very good to Ukraine."

3. Trump directly asks Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

"There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it ... It sounds horrible to me."

4. He suggests that Zelensky should talk to his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and Attorney General Bill Barr.

"I will have Mr. Giuliani give you a call and I am also going to have Attorney General Barr call and we will get to the bottom of it."

5. And then Trump reiterates that suggestion

"I will tell Rudy and Attorney General Barr to call."

People who don't see any quid pro quo by Trump and illegal activity here are just fooling themselves. At this point, it is expected for Trump followers to say there is no quid pro quo and he did not do anything constitutionally wrong for the office of the president, but this is an act of treason, and eventually, even those staunch supporters in the senate will have no choice but to not put on their records the facts of illegal wrong doings of this president was supported by them, by voting yes for impeachment.

We also have a few sensible Democrats like Tulsi Gabbard that think this doesn’t even come close to being an impeachable offense.

we also have republicans trying to make up things that dems have said to try to justify Treason Trump.

Because he was a corrupt businessman who had the morals of a snake. Because he was a serial liar. Because he's from the putative 'elite' class and has mocked those not born to his privileges.

Ok, so basically it’s about punishing the man before he even got into politics. At least you’re consistent. Lol. I do appreciate honesty though.

Corrupt businessman, corrupt politician. Leopards and spots.

Then you really must’ve hated the last administration, I know I did.

Once again a trump supporter throws the US under the bus and supports Putin. But then many Trump supporters have said all along they want Trump to undermine US systems so Trump can run an authoritarian system beneficial to corporatists.

Uhhh.... sorry, the entire Putin hoax is just so outdated, but what is heating up is Biden’s family in the conflict of interest in a prosecutor being fired in the Ukraine and if there was a quid pro quote and how was it that his son with zero experience able to get a guaranteed salary of $50,000 a month. You want to talk about a collusion, there is your collusion on a SilverPlatter.

Several Republicans seem to be in favor of pursuing this further and my guess there are many that would go along with impeachment if it gets that far.

Allegedly, I heard that from a few Democrats, take that with a grain of salt. We also have a few sensible Democrats like Tulsi Gabbard that think this doesn’t even come close to being an impeachable offense. The President would be an idiot to throw in the towel and resign over something that was never impeachable. The Dems will try to milk this like with the Mueller investigation. The Democrats have been in power for nine months and haven’t shown any type of legislation win whatsoever or anything substantial that they can put on the record saying this is been a big achievement for the American people, the only thing that they have is just the constant of meaningless attacks on this President. Do you have a lot of dance dinner probably going to lose seats if they go forward with this. Personally, I think they should try and go forward with it, it all helps Trump.

So let me guess, the Dem letter actually threatening Ukraine is perfectly fine? Dems always accuse whatever it is they are doing. It’s a telltale sign every time.

Ahh the old “Trump’s treason is justified because we say the dems would have done it too” logic.

Yes yes, one wrong and one made up imagined wrong make a right. Seems legit.

It will be interesting to get the entire transcript of this call (if this comes out). The cautionary note on the bottom of the transcript is also interesting.

Based on the very limited information we have it certainly seems that there are grounds for initiating impeachment proceedings to determine if this is an impeachable offense or not (which it very well could be).

The contents of the transcript are a bit disturbing (not only the part relating to Biden) and the manner in which Trump talks about other world leaders does not seem to show good judgment or character.

Several Republicans seem to be in favor of pursuing this further and my guess there are many that would go along with impeachment if it gets that far.

I have never thought Trump had the character or judgment to be President of the U.S. and I have always had a great deal of concern about his conduct.

Now that this genie is out of the bottle it will make the rest of his Presidency a near lame duck tenure. It will be interesting to see what transpires the next few weeks. I remember watching the Nixon impeachment process and Nixon was a different character than Trump. Whatever one wishes to think about Nixon, I believe Nixon (in his own way) actually cared about the country and therefore he resigned. I am not convinced I can say the same about Trump.

Unfortunately Trump seems to destroy many things he gets his hands on. I am a liberal but very open to admit that the U.S. has an immigration issue, yes; but Trump has made things worse actually (not better as he promised) - it is now a complete mess. Regarding the Hunter Biden issue; yes - there really is something to the issue related to Hunter Biden and Burisma Holdings. He was being paid more than $80,000/month to hold a job for which he had no experience (and no experience in Ukraine) and Rosemont Seneca received over $150,000/month in fees for a period of over a year. However Trump decided to do an end around on this and try to use this as a campaign issue. If he really thought something was wrong (and it probably was) pursue the matter through proper channels.

Whether Trump gets impeached or not remains to be seen but I believe what has come out already and what will come out down the road will make him even more incapable of doing his job as he is now.

He should take the Nixon route and resign.

It literally said nothing all the liberal people here said it would say. Repeatedly presumed! Eight times! Oh my god! (But fake news as we knew it would be)

How is a whistleblower going to change what we read, they weren’t even on the call.

So our favorites here are just right back to calling people names to defect from wasting our time again. Sad.

Nice try biased media.

No “promise”, no “eight times”, no “Quid pro who” Ukraine leader said he was not pressured. Is he lying when he says that?

Acting DNI is not quitting. In fact Dems in Congress threatened Ukraine aid in a letter if they stopped investigating Manafort. Totally wrong from the media again.

and the good news is that the new prosecutor that Biden can’t fire is looking into the same company and into Crowdstrike.

Nothing really needs to be added to that, it’s official, the Dems helped secure Trump’s second term. Thank you, Nancy.

By the way, the President offered to declassify his first phone call with the UKrainian President. A lot of yolk them Dems be having to wipe off.

So we have the President asking a foreign leader to investigate his political rival, even saying he will get the Attorney General of the United States and his own personal lawyer to contact him. And he did it days after he held up aid, and he hid the whistle blower complaint from Congress.

What a piece of trash. No real American would accept this abuse of power from a President for personal gain. None.

The real question is how much the transcripts the white house provided were doctored. We know that Trump's White House has doctored phone transcripts in the past, with the prime minister of Australia.

We need a third party transcript.

Heh, the Trumpets think they can defend the president's treason, and that they'll ever be taken seriously again afterwards.

Though to be fair, they already have gone so beyond the pale, they will already never be taken seriously again.

So I guess it's ok for them to keep being traitorous morons, they can't really go any lower.

Carry on. Pubs.

So basically the intelligence officials referred a criminal complaint to AG Barr, who determined it wasn't criminal.

What is this a banana republic? Why the heck should a Trump appointee have anything to do with making that determination.
