The November election is just days away.... this is a Political ploy, especially since all the targets were Democrats. Look at this from a voter's point of view. Would a bunch of bombs targeted at Democrats garner any sympathy and thus sway a voter to vote for a Democrat or not. You can bet one thing though, Conservatives / Republicans will see this as nothing more than a Dirty Campaign Ploy and it will more than likely enforce their belief that a Republican candidate is better than a Democratic one. I think this.... through way of a quasi reverse psychology, will actually work in favor of Republicans.

Track them down. Arrest them. Use the fullest extent of the law to put them into prison for as long as is allowed.

As much as I might dislike someone's speech or leadership, that doesn't mean I want any physical harm to come to them or their families. Even a bogus threat towards another human is wrong.

FYI....the Fox News message boards are trying to generate some theories. The biggest one so far is Antifa, that this is them doing a false flag operation. Another is that Democrats are so fed up with our leaders losing that a Democrat finally decided to take out his rage on Democrats. No, that's not a joke. The other one I'm seeing that that Clinton said that Democrats should be "uncivilized" so whoever did this is reacting to her words, even if it is a right winger.

My guess is more will be floated around and one will finally stick with the internet message boards.

I have been saying this for a year now and it's slowly coming to this, but I agree, there is No excuse for this.

Look for them to scrape together anything they can to create false equivalency, and from there they will use that to say that the real topic here is libreal hypocrisy, not mail bombs. Shouldn't take them more than 24 hours, depending on how long it takes them to create the "counterbalance" that is equal to the bombs. Look for any patterns with oddly specific refences to obscure stories. That means they've gotten their talking points and they're on the same page.

It's pretty much a standardized process now, like making a McDonald's hamburger.

The reason I'm sharing this is because people on the left really need to start understanding just how much of a tight and toxic bubble it is over in Conservativeland. Just page after page of stories and comments like these. When you talk to them about this story really ask yourself if there's any chance of reaching that person.

Just another example of how the far-right whips their zealots up into a frenzy with their manufactured rage, twisting of the truth, and advocating violence (and yes, I'm directly speaking of their leader, Trump), and how that translates into real-world violence.

And as if this is a surprise - our Great Orange Instigator of Violence goes to his lounge act rallies and call his opponents "Un-American", "Traitors" and "the the enemy of the people" - and his supporters believe it - just like they believed in Pizza gate and QAnon. This is what happens when you demonize and incite - you get violence.

That the fact that Trumpsters here attempt to justify, ignore or even support this violence just shows how cultish they are - Jim Jones told his cult to drink cyanide and they did. Shoko Asahara told his cult to spread sarin gas and they did. 

Just think of it - a President - someone who represents our entire nation - who is supposed to bring us together to achieve our national purpose, using hate language that incites his supporters to use violence against their fellow Americans. Unbelievable.

It seems the age of civil discourse is gone, replaced with vitriol and now, the inevitable violence. This is a natural product of the fierce, fake and divisive language coming from Trump and his most fervent supporters.

Whatever shall we do now? Even after the demagogue has been deposed, America is not going to heal in an instant. And that sends ripples out to the rest of the world.

Chances are, since all of the intended targets were long-term political targets of the current American president and his followers, that the attempted murders are down to someone who agrees with, and/or has been influenced by, the kind of divisive rhetoric put up every day by Trump and his supporters.

That's one possibility. There are many others. I find it interesting that none of the targets were injured or barely escaped injury. As though the person sending these didn't actually want to hurt any of them.

False flags are more common than ever. The USA itself has a history of false flags. It could also be a non-government actor, from either side. Or it could be a lunatic, like the lunatics who have attacked Republicans recently. Rand Paul was assaulted and seriously injured by a crazed doctor of all people.

Someone didn't bother to read the article. If they had, they would know it was a felony conviction:

But the left have largely acted on that violence in the most disturbing and sick way, had it not been for one of the Senators that knew CPR and how to attend to assess serious wounds, Senator Scalise would have died.

One thing that can and should be done is the left needs to calm down and take a breath and if they don’t like the system, vote to change it, but don’t try to forcefully usurp the system. For example, this thing with the Dems should they take control of the House want to go after Trump and impeach him and Kavanaugh, this is not good and it’s just going to lead to more anger and more discontent. You don’t like something or someone, use the power of vote and not violence or acts of vengeance, the Republicans learned that the hard way in 1998.

I sure do condemn it, so you equally condemn the attempted murder on Scalise and the brutal physical attack on Rand Paul? I haven’t heard any outrage from the left.
