The correct response is for the US to join forces with Australia and increase bilateral trade while simultaneously cutting back on trade with China.

Exactly.

"Wuffpack" huh? Lol. I tend to agree with the sentiment and a lot of Australia's top ten imports are among the US top ten exports.

China uses trade as a weapon. They are doing this so that Australian exporters will pressure their government to yield to China's demands. But Australia should stand fast. Every tariff China imposes raises the price of that good to the Chinese consumer. Using trade as a weapon hurts both sides.

The CCP don't understand that the people of Australia are strong and proud like the Chinese, but unlike the Chinese, are doing it of their own free will, and also not tainted by the lies of a propaganda-based dictatorship that controls the flow of information.
The CCP may be a Goliath, but the people of Australia will stand strong, and the free nations of the world will stand unified.

This is for their domestic population as the rest of the world is well aware of the Chinese failed attempts at coercing Australia. China has initiated these actions because Australia will not do as Peking demands.
They wont. They know China is at fault and will not fall for the Chinese narrative. They are smart enough to see right through them.
A good enough reason for Australia to switch recognition from the PRC to ROC. They wont of course, but with China stopping diplomatic contacts it would it's own fault if Australia did. That could even convince others to do the same. All it needs is one major economy to start the stampede.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if the English speaking countries all renounced the one China policy in a joint statement, withdrew their ambassadors from China and expelled the Chinese ambassadors to their respective nations. Nothing else, just renounce the one China policy and boot their ambassadors while bringing your own home. Don't goad them further by saying Taiwan is independent or anything, just sort of let that hang. Later on have some military units start visiting Taiwan to train with their military.

One of the things I have learned from other Asian news sources is that the CCP is genuinely surprised at how rapidly and widespread opposition to China has developed. The CCP apparently did not imagine so much of the world turning against them and how quickly that opposition emerged.

They are used to dealing with their citizens who have no ability to speak against them, and the last time they did, the CCP sent in the military and executed a bunch of students protesting peacefully at Tienanmen. So the CCP are weak when it comes to understanding PR, since they don't have to do it in China, since no one is allowed to speak against them.
The world needs to shun China for their human rights violations against he Uighurs, their invasion of Hong Kong, and their threatening stance against Taiwan.
We don't need the CCP, they need us. So let's make them start acting like it.

I should have proofread before submitting. The world needs to shun the CCP, not China. Chinese people are fine. The CCP is a scourge on humanity.

I like it. I think that this message should be spread as a grassroots message to the leaders of our respective nations. Be passive aggressive to China on this matter.
