Burning Bush - I agree with you but I think there is some partial truth to the terrorism issue.

The use of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency gives the U.S. (and the citizens) a tremendous advantage economically. Countries have been slowly chipping away at this for a few years now and I would expect the trend to continue.

The U.S. dollar being used for oil transactions is one of the major reasons that gasoline is so much cheaper in the U.S. than other developed nations. If this is discontinued it would have a decimating impact on the American lower and middle class and would further destabilize the United States.

You made a very good point in your post.

I’ve read several memoirs by US Afghan vets who say they personally witnessed Pakistani security forces providing safe havens for Taliban terrorists. Good to see a US president finally willing to do something about it.

Destabilizing a country that is estimated to possess around 120 nuclear weapons priceless?

Long overdue. Pakistan actively supports terrorists so not sure why this farce continued so long

There is some truth on all sides. Nothing is black and white there, even if Trump's mind works better that way. Possibly this will push Pakistan to try a little harder, or make another token push.

Punishment for China economic corridor and trading in Yuan. Grow up USA ... the world order is changing.

If Pakistan doesn't want to live up to their part of its agreements with the U.S., then there is no reason for the U.S. to live up to it's part of the agreements with Pakistan.
