U.S. begins reuniting some families separated at Mexico border

One of the problems that U.S. border security officials have to deal with is trying to distinguish which children are possible victims of child trafficking and which ones are not, a job further complicated by adults entering with undocumented children. Imagine if you tried to enter your home country from a foreign one with your child and you didn't have your son's or daughter's passport. Would you be surprised if you weren't detained and examined carefully?

They should reunite south of the US border - as quickly as possible.

Families should never be separated, unless there is child abuse. Oh - sending your kid to a foreign country alone, THAT IS CHILD ABUSE.

Get this done as quickly as is possible.

More than 5,000 children were separated from their parents,... more than 1,000 families remain separated.
