Interesting that the place's name is "Holey Artisan Bakery". Before anyone jumps on me, yes. this is another sickening attack. I feel like when it has intent, it's not a tragedy anymore. It's something worse.

Here we go again.

Acts of terror by these terrorists must be combated.

There are about 5 Japanese hostages reported. One escaped.

In one person's infamous words, "What does it matter" who did it? Once a label is attributed, it is worthless the next day. The point is nobody sees the forest because of the trees. Once again there is dramatic loss of life and the perpetrators are unknown.

The early signs are this was yet another slaughter conducted by murderous thugs brainwashed (and brain damaged) by extremist religious beliefs. Bangladesh is a bit less than 90% Muslim (primarily Sunni), about 10% Hindu, desperately poor, and has long been one of the world’s most corrupt countries. A horribly volatile combination.

The ruling families have carved the country up and divided its spoils among themselves. The best many of its citizens, especially those not closely connected to the ruling families, can hope for is a job in a garment factory or doing low level farm work. Or if they can afford to pay off a recruiter (human trafficker?) a job doing menial labor in one of the Arabian Gulf states where they work for peanuts and are treated terribly, and where many become ‘Wahhabi-ized’, brainwashed to believe extremist Islamic teachings.

Who knows which faction this current set of murderers belongs to, whether they’re ‘foreign agents’ or part of one of the domestic gangs, even perhaps sponsored by one of the ruling factions.

No doubt the various rulers will plead for more aid from the usual donor sources, both government (US, UK, Australia, Japan, etc.) and not-for-profit organizations so they can use the money to ‘fight terrorism’.

And if more aid is granted I have to think most of it will once again be kept by the ruling families. What a mess. Redux.

Playing straight into the hands of the Bangladesh government, who refuse to admit there is any IS presence in the country. Even the Bangladesh government was taken totally by surprise, so how would the US be able to confirm anything?

It may not be ISIS. Given Bangladesh is 87% Muslim, it may have been a localized conflict of sorts, especially against the highly corrupt government.

WOW! Who can be an IS in an Islamic country!! Everyone?

As many as nine gunmen attacked the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka’s Gulshan area on Friday night. No word of what happened to them, Did the police do a good job of helping them to escape safely? For some Bangladeshis they are considered heroes.

US cannot confirm IS claim of responsibility in Dhaka attack

Of course not! Then the peace prize winning president, and the US, would have to claim responsibility for ALL the war death and destruction he and Hillary has caused.

Amazing the ignorance of the "educated" that can't even connect one dot to the next. The MSM rules the day, and the lemmings follow.
