how vulnerable nations are supported financially to green their economies and prepare for future shocks.

Also how politicians in countries like the US can stop being so easily swayed by lobbyists from big oil gas countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE and by lobbyists from big oil and gas corporations in the US.

Here's some data on which members get paid by big oil.https://www.opensecrets.org/industries/recips.php?cycle=2022&ind=E01

It should surprise no one how many from Texas (Tx) are in the hands of big oil and gas.

But then the CCP has been looking at Texas for a place to buy oil fields. Texas oil and gas oligarchs are more loyal to their personal bank accounts than they are to the country. Their latest moan is 'freedom' which to them most probably includes the freedom to sell their country down the oil drain.

For a few dollars more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLXQltR7vUQ

This is what happens when you have a President that kills US independency and then sends us back to being dependent on the people that hate us, not to mention, non of these politicians that are pushing this don’t have the answer how we should hear our homes, commute to work, build and create the basic things we need on a daily basis. The emotion injected in this debate will not save anyone.

As our the people in Washington and California hands are in the COP26

As we should. China, India and Russia are allowed to build up their nations and military and this administration says, we can’t. Again, the consequences will be for the Dems will earth shattering in 2022 for the House.

Yeah - politicians like Joe biden who just a few weeks ago begged the Saudi’s to pump more oil after clamping down on fossil fuel production in the US. He must believe that oil extracted in Saudi Arabia emits less CO2 than natural gas produced in the US. The man has never been confused with having a keen intellect.

The US exported more oil in 6 out of the first 8 months in 2020 under Trump, compared with the first 8 months of Biden.

The United States became a net annual petroleum exporter in 2020

U.S. petroleum imports in 2020 were the lowest since 1991

"The U.S. has imported less oil from the Persian Gulf region under Biden than under Trump.

The US imported more oil from Russia under Biden in 7 out of the first 8 months, compared to Trump in 2020.

Oil will never go away. It is used to make products in thousands of products used in the world today, not just for running motor vehicles. Do people really believe that oil is the result of dying Dinasaurs, plants, animals and the like ? Oil is not a fossil fuel and scientists have found that it is constantly replenished. What happened to all the talk about the oil running out ? Is it ?

Until 2020, America imported more oil than it exported but now exports more than it imports.

Because of the pandemic there was a drop in demand for American crude.

Uh-huh, so tell that to the people that grow angrier with each passing day at this President for the rising gas prices, not helping him or his party.

“Biden undermines his own administration by expressing shock at gas prices: ‘Did you ever think you’d pay so much?’”

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Biden did not rise oil prices. No president can do that.

Again convince the country of that. Of course he can. But I really don’t want him to because I’m pushing and hoping he makes it easier for the GOP to ravage the DNC next year and for the Senate in 2024 as well.

NYPost

“The White House has demonized the sector, enacting executive orders designed to slow growth of oil production, and that’s definitely had a role,”

To make more supply available, a president has the power to release stored oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. But that option is typically reserved for emergencies and short-term supply disruptions that threaten the economy.

The highest gas prices were under a Republican president in 2002

Lowest gas prices were under a Republican President as well

gas was $2.50 under Trump and $2.97 under Obama and the highest prices go to Biden

The Japanese govt a few years ago stopped generously subsidizing private solar panel installation and energy production. Aren't they being hypocrites here?

Biden does not increase prices

but his policies do, and did.

but his policies do, and did.

Exactly and when people can’t drive, get to work, take the kids to school and it becomes a crisis, the President is pretty much done, ask Carter.

COP26 told climate pledges 'hollow' without fossil fuel phase out:

"With emissions still rising, putting the world on a path to heat far beyond target, negotiators wrangle over many issues.."

Precisely, that is what happens at COP26.

Rather unfortunate, very discomfiting..

Trump cancelled the 2015 Paris Agreement

That has nothing to do with Americans being teed off at the current President for this.

Last year gas prices were so low because the world market collapsed due to over production and had nothing to do with Trump and as under production is now producing high price has nothing to do with Biden. It all lies with Big Oil.

Again, you are making weak arguments that are just not helping this admin on any level and as Biden says, "the buck stops with me." it sure does.

Last year gas prices were so low

yet this time in 2019 gas was $2.52 as well.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Just curious why in all the Trump years world oil producers cooperated with overproduction but now they won’t do anything for Biden?

could be they see his hypocrisy to ask them to do something for him that he publicly denounces.

Do people really believe that oil is the result of dying Dinasaurs, plants, animals and the like ?

Probably most scientists do. (Although not so much from dinosaurs but more from plants and small animals.)

Oil is not a fossil fuel and scientists have found that it is constantly replenished.

Some have theorized it is not a fossil fuel. Others have theorized that some oil is biogenic (i.e from fossilized remains) while some is abiogenic (from carbon and other chemicals originally located within the earth). Some have theorized it is constantly replenished, but I don't think there is strong evidence either way on this one. One argument against the idea of abiogenic oil and gas is that it isn't usually found along geological faults where you might expect it to seep out if it was being produced deep inside the earth.

Whatever the source, burning it still produces CO2.

Zichi, US taxpayers should not pay for something created by business, people should solve their own problems by electing leaders, that keep them safe

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

"The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic hammered the oil industry in 2020, forcing U.S. oil prices to go negative for the first time on record. In a matter of hours on April 20, the May 2020 contract futures price for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) plummetted from $18 a barrel to around -$37 a barrel."

"Oil producers were faced with a glut of crude oil that left them scrambling to find space to store the oversupply. Brent crude oil prices also tumbled, closing at $9.12 a barrel on April 21, a far cry from the $70 a barrel crude oil fetched at the beginning of the year."

This is definitely hurting Biden and the Democrat party as a whole.

He doesn't get it, he thinks people are just not holding this guy responsible when it's the exact opposite.

Joe Biden declared on a global stage.....

'America is back', says Joe Biden in first diplomatic speech

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjXjWlzQjzs

COP 26 has proved, heralded a shameful embarrassing sham. Biden at one point fell asleep.

America is back?, Oh please, pull the other one! US banks and hedge fund are financing fossil fuel investments.

The Governments of China and Russia failed to make an appearance.

The draft is beginning to resemble a phony pretense, to maintain the status quo.

Sorry, America seems to be comatose.

The failures of the Afghan withdrawal.

The excruciating toe-curling spectacle, VP Harris using child actors of some space exploration PR stunt.

With Putin Russian federation massing, what appears to be an invasion force on the Ukraine boarder.

The Government of China bearing down on Taiwan, Hong Kong.

Now a COP 26 dereliction of duty.
