As the CO2 goes up, so do the temperatures.

Now this would be a good reason to wear a mask.

in what President Joe Biden called a "stark reminder" of climate change.

Better make good on those pledges

Anti-maskers would say that the masks are useless and would probably refuse to wear them, lol

Sad remainder of the extra risks the climate change will bring in the future.

Anti-maskers would say that the masks are useless and would probably refuse to wear them, lol

But at least in this case the extra risk adquired from their beliefs would only affect them.

New Yorkers wearing masks for the first time since Covid. Bros said it was bad.

This shows the risks of direct human acts such as lighting fires and not containing them.

And the naturally occurring fires started by lightning strikes. It's a natural cycle.

As many scientific reports have proven, this also shows one of the negative consequences that will become more common thanks to the human activity-related climate change.

Nothing cyclic nor natural about it. Obviously the scientific consensus on the topic is not wrong just because some people are unable to accept things scientifically proven.

Quite the photo. Visited the Lincoln Memorial years ago on a beautiful blue-sky day. DC isn't that close to Canada, so the environmental effects of all those wildfires in Quebec and the Maritimes are truly amazing. Same thing's happening here in northern BC. And it's only early June of a year that's forecast to be drier. Big ouch!

For this specific instance scientists have shown the direct cause is by humans and lightning starting fires.

For each degree increase in temperature, there is a 12% increase in lightning.

Food for thought.

Yeah, that is what happens with the weather. Temperatures go up and down.

"There's just natural variability," he said. "Some springs are dry and some springs are wet."

I wonder when the first greenies or eco activists will begin to demonstrate and fight against lightings and forests, as those never will abide and act carbon neutral and CO2 free. lol

Again, something that happens more easily thanks to climatic change, this also increases the severity of the fires, something not affected by the way they begin. Your comment do nothing to refute what is included in your quote.

Yeah, that is what happens with the weather. Temperatures go up and down.

The problem is not weather but climate, temperatures going up and so the risks of fires independently of the way they start.
