Cuba makes the best cancer-causing cigars in the world. Americans should be free to buy them... LOL

Why thank you Mr Bush......

You can want to keep the embargo up, but the more you do the more money everyone else will make.

Who cares about what form of government they they. BTW do not know if you know it or not but the Chinese are also Communist. We do lots of business with them now don't we....LOL

bushlover at 11:38 AM JST - 30th September There goes tourism. Canadians and Europeans won't be the only ugly tourist in Cuba.

Cuba 90 miles south of the States, the sun, the fun, the white beaches (we all know how the far right just loves "white" beeches and all that darn good rum!!!!!

Nooooo what will happen to Mexico and it's tourist trade if everyone starts to go to Cuba again? Oh wait, they can just keep supplying the Americans with all the Coke they can handle! Okay everything is a.o.k.a.y. the CIA will keep it's steady supply of undetected money!

My family would love to go back to cuba to see how it's changed since they left, but not until there are serious reforms over there. It wont matter that the embargo is lifted if the actual cuban people aren't allowed to benefit from trade. Otherwise you just get more of the same old thing going on, happy well fed and clean people in the hotel towns eager to serve the every whim of the tourists with shanty towns and repressed citizens just out of sight having to make due with antiquated machinery. That's the true face of the cuban people and we shouldn't even consider lifting the embargo until that ends.

zurcronium - you are not really helping teh cause, my brother. The embargo dates from 1960, not from the 1950s. JFK (he was one of us, there was a D after his name) strengthened it in 62. Obama will end it, and he will bring peace to Sudan also, and he will get North Korea to stop with the crazy, and he will get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and he will reverse global warming.

TIme for another 1950s rightwing policy to finally die. Even the wingers know this time its ok to bring change that they can believe in.

Sounds good to me.

Heck, if we have all this trade with China, which is ruled by a communist dictatorship, we can have trade with Cuba.

"praising Obama as courageous for taking on climate change"

My money's on Mother Nature.

Americans can go to Cuba, just go to Canada or Mexico first, get the Cuban embassy there or in Tokyo to give you a tourist visa etc..and you are on your merry way!
