Donny formally labeled China a currency manipulator five months ago but incessantly whined about China being a currency manipulator during his campaign. What took Donny so long? The fact it did allows the logical inference that he was merely manufacturing outrage amongst his über ignorant base during the election.

Not hard to understand why he was bankrupt all the time. A trillion or two means nothing to him now he has the public purse.

Thaw - or how Ivanka got her trademarks.

The designation is largely symbolic

Of course it is. Trump's not going to do anything substantial that might put Ivanka/Jared's investments in China and their relationships with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials at risk. Trump wants to make his global elite connections stronger while he's in office. Does anyone know if Trump's clothing brands are still made in China? Or has he shifted some of his companies' manufacturing to Bangladesh, Mexico and other places where he also has factories.

And all the liberals here whined that he didn’t label them as a currency manipulator. Until he did 5 months ago. So thanks for confirming another “promise made promise kept”.

So thanks for confirming another “promise made promise kept”.

Curious how 'promise kept' squares with the below quote from the article. I know Trump backers are altering word meanings (see global alt right glossary), but are they now saying 'flip-flop', 'lie' and 'cave' can also mean 'kept'?

The Trump administration is dropping its designation of China as a currency manipulator

Liberals said he wouldn’t do it. He did. Promise kept.

bow as part of trade negotiations it will be dropped to get something better. If he has never done it couldn’t have use it to bargain in the negotiations to remove it.

And re-signs contracts to keep getting his ties and shirts made in Chinese sweatshop factories, while at the same time stiffing US workers out of jobs...
