There was no break under the former guy. Unless you mean you took a break from following the news.

4-year break? There are constant attacks on US coalition in Iraq. For example:
"Timeline: recent attacks on US forces in Iraq"

'Hosted' implies welcome, legally present guests.
But it's been almost a year since the democratically elected government of Iraq told the US military to leave due to bad behavior (killing an invited guest, Soleimani) and the family member escorting him (an Iraqi general) so that isn't the word for it.
When an invited guest refuses to leave when asked, the word is trespasser
When an invited military refuses to leave, the word is OCCUPIER

The TV news show, 60 Minutes, showed the rocket attacks from last year with analysis. US intelligence knew the strikes were imminent, watched the Iranians purchase and download commercially available satellite images on the day of the attacks. After the last image downloaded, most US equipment and troops were relocated elsewhere before the MRBM attacks began. This avoided any deaths, though many head traumas were caused.
Never-before-seen video of the attack on Al Asad Airbase: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGP7hZQuTL0
A few drones with camera coverage of the Al Asad Airbase for up. Had any Americans been killed, the US and Iran would be at war today.

...and now, back to another expansion of military stupidity in the ME. Yep, the US is back.... back to the swamp warmongering of the past. The 4 year break is over.
Any buyers remorse yet?

They have been murdering each other for centuries. The quicker we stop needing to import oil from there the quicker we can leave them to it.

Iran better quit before it becomes part of the desert landscape

Looks like you have a short memory.
There’s a mini refresher course in paragraph 4 if you hadn’t read the article yet.

Looks like Iran isn’t scared of Biden as they were with Trump.

Tit-tat. They'd hit them with rockets back
