Because nobody believe the stories fabricated by Trump administration over Iran! The Iranian shot down of US navy drone was America kicking out trouble at Iran!

In essense EU which includes all NATO, has too many migrants from those troubled areas that are already a major problem within their own country. They may indeed become a huge problem when the race and religion card gets played and unwanted emotional reaction may become too much to handle domestically. Something to which they are reacting much too late to effectively control. Participating in actions against Iran could trigger much unwanted reaction within their own countries.

reluctant allies

They've just recently started having to pay up for U.S. protection.

Since any "threat" from Iran actually originates in the US unilateral sanctions imposed by Trump on an Iran that was FULLY in compliance with a deal brokered by the US in the first place. Trump is the threat and perhaps NATO should be discussing what to do to keep Trump in line. Iran has done its part. America has gone against its word/agreement thanks to Trump. Any escalation of issues is the fault of American actions. Sadly the US now tries to drag its allies into doing the wrong thing as well, in order to back up Trump in his folly.

Lets hope America is left out on its own again, as it is in its pulling out of the Paris accords. If you make the mess, you clean it up.

Trump is iffy on NATO remember. So now NATO is iffy on him

Trump started the latest trouble with Iran in lieu of discussing it with NATO, so now NATO doesn't want to get pulled back in to something they weren't even discussed with

The Iranian shot down of US navy drone was America kicking out trouble at Iran!

Iran did shoot down the US drone - Iran even released the video themselves!

The question is not whether it was shot down, but rather whether it was over international waters or in Iranian waters

I wonder if JT ever described a Soviet only effort 'global' the way they've granted that title to something where only the US and its completely dependent client states are participants.
