collect DNA from every arrested criminal

Nice assumption that everyone who gets arrested is actually a criminal. It is that sort of police state mentality that is the source of this rapid loss of our civil liberties and privacy rights.

So amazingly wrong.

I understand the "we had him but let him go" part. But please tell me how many civil liberties and rights have we lost in the last 8 years. Next they will be bar coding us and installing explosive collars.

Heh. Didn't I just read on the Bardot thread all the bush sect shrieking about the lack of free speech in France?

Funny to see not to see even one of them with a glib comment here as the bush train-wreck continues to errode what civil liberties Americans retain...

"Using authority granted by Congress, the government also plans to collect DNA samples from foreigners who are detained, whether they have been charged or not."

"Using authority granted by Congress"

Well spotted, O previous poster whose name is hidden from me by a system bug. You can't just blame Bush for this one, but "democrats" as well.
