You shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you. On that subject is it possible that Mr.Obama is biting off a little more than he can chew?

Big surprise. Israel has simply been doing what it wants, when it wants, for some time now and has no qualms about telling others where to stick it. They've been given carte blanche for too long.

Man! With all the stuff going in the world, becoming President was the wrong time to quit smoking.

Israel has been what it wants for years. They agree with terms to issues and borders and rights; but that means nothing. Because they will break any and all agreements and claim they don't have to.

What gripes my ass is that the US continues to give these liars money. george bush gave them a commitment of $30Billion over 10 years, last year. And has Obama cancelled that agreement. Hell no. That torques... < :-)

I hope the current WB threatens to tear up the contract, since clearly Israel is not living up to promises made. Sure, they'll be labelled as 'anti-semitic' and what not, but if that's the only way Israel will listen then it's necessary. What should accompany the threat for sure, though, is the message that since the Israeli government is intent of not listening to the donors of the money, they aren't going to get any more of it; and that if they DO listen, they will continue to benefit from said money.

The delusion by the left that Israel giving up this land will bring peace. What dreamers.

As opposed to the reality that what they are doing brings about more violence, eh? Anyway, that's not what the article is ultimately about, and even you can't deny they are going against the US.

" the Obama administration on Friday put out a rare and harsh public rebuke of its main Mideast ally."

The GOP would have just rolled over and played dead. Great to see the new U.S. administration is calling the Israelis out on this one.

So you're saying that the US should have a policy that all aid stops when said country doesn't do what it's told to do?

Thanks to the corrupt political system in the US, a nation of about 5 million (Israel) is being in the lime light for the past 40-50 years for all the wrong reasons... Why is it in the interest of 300 million people to take the side of 5 million against the rest of the middle east? Puzzling!

Well to be fair the reality is that no matter what there will be violence, Israel withdraws they give back land, there will be violence, Israel continues on the present, course there will be violence.

I always find it ironic that people have a problem with the US telling other nations(Iran, North korea, etc.) what to do but when it comes to Israel, hondorus its a different matter.

adaydream, of course you realize the US gives more aid money each year to Islamic countries than Israel. Egypt alone gets nearly as much as Israel. How come you never complain about this, when these countries hate America? Is it simply that you share this sentiment?
