Trump said Saturday at a press conference at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where he was spending the weekend.

When the going gets tough, Trump plays golf - paid for by taxpayers at one of his properties whose profits increase each time he's there. And he tweets.

Trump continues adding failures to his legacy, including his biggest failure as a 'wartime president'. But he's not even pretending to care about the mounting virus related deaths and the 5,000,000 sickened by it.

He's got golf to play.

18 ( +21 / -3 )

162,000 confirmed U.S. deaths. Now averaging 1200 deaths daily.

One of the largest bike rallies in the world is going at Sturgis, South Dakota, with an estimated 200,000 people attending and nobody is wearing masks. Schools that have already started have already seen increases in infections.

Washinton University's estimate of 300,000 dead by the end of the year might be very conservative.

When Trump's "tired of winning", he golfs, but he'll never catch up to the virus. He's the loser and he knows it.

Trump said Saturday at a press conference at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where he was spending the weekend.

Also Trump:

President Obama has a major meeting on the N.Y.C. Ebola outbreak, with people flying in from all over the country, but decided to play golf!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 24, 2014

And:

We pay for Obama's travel so he can fundraise millions so Democrats can run on lies. Then we pay for his golf.

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 14, 2014

And:

Can you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf.Worse than Carter

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 14, 2014

Keep on golfing Trump. Keep on supporting his blatant hypocrisy pubs. Because it doesn't make you guys look like the bottom percentile of the intelligence scale.

We gonna talk about how the US compiles the numbers..? Or shall we wait 20 years when the doomsayers will lament how they knew something was fishy about it at the time.

History repeats...

-17 ( +2 / -19 )

If anything, Agent-X, the numbers are under-counted.

"The United States just passed 5 million reported infections of COVID-19," his Democrat opponent Joe Biden tweeted Sunday.

No he did not. That is is handlers tweeting. Biden would not know what a Tweet is. In the even, among all the cacaphonia of Trump haters cackling about how bad he "handled" this, nobody say specifically what he should have done differently. Invite everybody to Chinatown, like Nancy Pelosi suggested?

Fact is, all governments have followed different policies, and at this point everybody is still guessing. I strongly suspect that Sweden handled it best.

-25 ( +0 / -25 )

Save American jobs? How? Just say it and it will happen? The stroke of a pen?

Provide relief? What, $400/week ($100 of it from states who have yet to say if they will do it) for four weeks? Four weeks. Wow.

Giving people some of their own money and acting like they're doing you a favor. How generous...

The economies of other countries are already recovering as cases and deaths for them retreat. The US still can't make a test that works or get test results in less than a week, while 2,000 people are dying every 24 hours.

The US has become a dysfunctional society.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

Thanks commie china, but of course blame it on Trump somehow.

Everybody knows and nobody needs to be reminded that the virus came from Chinah, BUT in capitalist USA everybody knows where the buck stops and who must be called out on this pandemic: Potus.

After 6 months of negligence and inaction the chief executive allowed the virus to get out of control: Trump now owns it! The "Great Pandemic" will be the historical legacy hung around the neck of this impeached president.

15 ( +16 / -1 )

among all the cacaphonia of Trump haters cackling about how bad he "handled" this, nobody say specifically what he should have done differently.

Specific things he should have done differently:

Create a national strategy for testing and tracing, rather than the ad hoc hodge podge of testing around the country that is completely ineffective;

Coordinated responses among the states so that they cooperated rather than competed for supplies, invoked the Defence Production Act early on;

Refrained from giving wildly contradictory messages about how serious people needed to take this;

Encouraged the use of masks when their benefits became understood;

Mobilized FEMA and other federal agencies early on, instead of just pretending it would all go away for months;

These are just off the top of my head, I am sure there are many more out there.

The interesting thing about liberals when you listen to them, the solution to everything is always bailouts, stimulus and more money and that's it. Nothing about legislation or long term solution, ever. If there's a problem or crisis, throw money at it.

-16 ( +0 / -16 )

Nothing about legislation or long term solution

Like wearing masks, social distancing, testing, tracing, etc?

All people have to do is follow the rules and the numbers will drop.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

We did all of that.

Then the "peaceful protesters" were unleashed on our streets with the full support of the Democrat party. They are still going at it nightly, even after the feds left.

All people have to do is follow the rules and the numbers will drop.

-17 ( +1 / -18 )

Great combination of photo and headline.

Ahhhh yes, just like President Bush who really was a war time President by creating a war based on lies and fabrications the fallout of which is still being felt by the rest of the world. Class A war criminal in my opinion! If Bush was still running things he would probably be invading China right now! Fighting an unseen enemy such as this virus isn’t the easiest thing in the world and no one at this point in time really knows exactly what to do!

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

@Black

We did all of that.

Then the "peaceful protesters" were unleashed on our streets with the full support of the Democrat party. They are still going at it nightly, even after the feds left.

LOL! Yesterday, you were saying the 5,000,000 infections or 1/5 of all the infections in the world was not true.

a) Not you are pushing another false narrative. It so funny that the current hotspots did not have large BLM rallies or no rally at all.

b) trump had a Tulsa rally and Herman Cain died after attending trump's rally

c) We do know that almost 100,000 kids tested positive in the last two weeks.

97,000 kids test positive for COVID-19 in two weeks, report says

https://www.yahoo.com/news/97-000-kids-test-positive-141432302.html

All trump's fault!

You ready to admit that you were wrong a move on?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

The interesting thing about liberals when you listen to them, the solution to everything is always bailouts, stimulus and more money and that's it. Nothing about legislation or long term solution, ever. If there's a problem or crisis, throw money at it.

The biggest fans of bailouts are so-called conservatives who always to bailout banks, brokerage houses, the biggest companies, defense contractors, government contractors and are always increasing the size of the government and government employees.

I used to be the a little farther right than Attila the Hun, until I stepped back and looked at the results instead of listening to the rhetoric.

Every Republican administration has increased the total government workforce, mostly by being sneaky and adding contractors.

Reagan and Bush increased total workforce.

Clinton reduced total workforce by over a million people.

GW Bush increased the government workforce by almost 4 million people!

Obama reduced the workforce and now Trump has increased the workforce.

That's not my idea of what a conservative is.

The deficits have always bloomed under Republicans. Heck, Clinton had a balanced budget for two years. That's a conservatives dream, but only realized under a Democratic administration.

And the "liberal" administrations have a better economic growth record now.

And forget the "job creators" nonsense. It's not true and has never been true. Jobs are mostly created by small businesses in the US, not by billionaires. The only jobs you get from Republican donors are dead-end bottom working poor type jobs, while tax breaks for the wealthy have made a mockery of the tax system.

A tax-dodging, draft dodging, five-time bankrupt pathological liar is the Messiah of the conservatives now?

I ain't buying that nonsense.

You want to know what's really interesting? Look at the Trump demographic of the base: white male, lower middle class, barely got out of high school who only watches one network.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

We have been the laughing stock of the world for almost 4 years. Now the world is just shocked by the stupidity leading the country at the moment.

US response to the virus is met with incredulity abroad

https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-response-virus-met-incredulity-063316318.html

Perhaps nowhere outside the U.S. is America’s bungled virus response viewed with more consternation than in Italy, which was ground zero of Europe's epidemic. Italians were unprepared when the outbreak exploded in February and the country still has one of the world’s highest official death tolls at 35,000.

But after a strict nationwide 10-week lockdown, vigilant tracing of new clusters and general acceptance of mask mandates and social distancing, Italy has become a model of virus containment.

trump and his administration wasted more than half a year lying and are still failing the country.

“Don’t they care about their health?” a mask-clad Patrizia Antonini asked about people in the United States as she walked with friends along the banks of Lake Bracciano, north of Rome. “They need to take our precautions ... They need a real lockdown."

Apparently, only certain people in the country. Like trump's son and the students at Baron's private school

8 ( +8 / -0 )

The US can’t handle the logistics to contain the virus. Just the mask itself becomes a political issue. The spirit of cooperation is lacking and there’s plenty of divisiveness.

Thanks commie china, but of course blame it on Trump somehow.

Sorry, but we have to move beyond China. My two daughters were doing the dishes and drying them. Bigger plate gets dropped and pieces of porcelain, sharp, are all over the kitchen floor. Older one starts sweeping and cleaning it up while the younger one keeps explaining how it was “handed to her wrong.” An hour later the older one is doing her thing and being amused by whatever is on her phone. The younger one is still talking about the dishes and still insisting it’s not her fault.

Yes, bad China, bad bad bad. Let’s spank them. Go and get my belt. We still have a problem that’s our problem. They are not responsible for protecting our citizens.

The US going to Taiwan for COVID consultations is not going to help not that that’s the only reason for the visit. The people are registered through an app and you get a phone call if you step out during your quarantine period. US citizens won’t allow the administration to control them like that even though it’s for their own sake, not to mention the administration can’t handle the logistics because of partisan politics. The recent subsidy check stalling is an example. Schools restarting is another. Accept the leadership because that’s what’s needed. A leader cannot lead without the people cooperating. So Trump criticizes for having no leadership in handling this crises is also due to the people.

Even though China started it, acknowledge and admit help is needed with the virus and in handling a crisis. Stop blaming Trump or governors and start working together. Start by giving up a little freedom and inconvenience for the sake of unity.

The interesting thing about liberals when you listen to them, the solution to everything is always bailouts, stimulus and more money and that's it. Nothing about legislation or long term solution, ever. If there's a problem or crisis, throw money at it.

What I find interesting!

If "Capitalism" is so perfect then why does it need "Socialism" almost every 10 years or after a Republican leaves the presidency to save it.

LOL!

10 ( +10 / -0 )

All people have to do is follow the rules and the numbers will drop.

Not really and for one thing, people whether they be rich or poor, black or white conservative or liberal don't and refuse to be locked down and so long as you have mobility, it won't happen. Trust me when I tell you, Biden can't make this virus magically go away or the Democrats, so let's just get that out of our heads.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

No, you said there are 5 million current cases. There are not- as many people have recovered. and many of those had no symptoms whatsoever.

LOL! Yesterday, you were saying the 5,000,000 infections or 1/5 of all the infections in the world was not true.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

All people have to do is follow the rules and the numbers will drop.

Bass: Not really

Oh, OK.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

@blacklabel

We did all of that. [wearing masks, social distancing, testing, tracing, etc]

Actually no. Instead, many Americans wasted a lot of time and energy squabbling about masks as a freedom issue, with people insisting on their right not to wear them. And they're still doing it. They're are also many people who ignore the social distancing guidelines because they just can't be bothered.

"We did all of that" sums up the lazy, too-much-trouble-for-me mentality that governs people's decisions. Doing something and then getting bored with it after a month and stopping might work in many areas of life - learning to play the piano perhaps - but it doesn't apply to controlling an epidemic like this one. You have to do what needs to be done, and if it takes longer than you're comfy with, that's just too bad. At some point, this might sink in, but apparently that point is going to involve numbers much higher than 5 million cases and 200,000 deaths.

Quite the summer, ain't it, for a disease that can't survive warm temperatures...

11 ( +11 / -0 )

so there have been no BLM protests in California (with the most cases in the country), Florida, Texas, New York or Georgia?

and there is no evidence whatsover about how Herman Cain got sick.

Not you are pushing another false narrative. It so funny that the current hotspots did not have large BLM rallies or no rally at all.

coronavirus hotspot: Portland. anything going on there?

Let's not forget that you previously claimed that mass gatherings would have no effect on the spread of infection. You claimed that it would 'put the corona narrative to bed'.

Except when it is politically convenient for you, it seems.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

it did. the media narrative is that Protests (mass gatherings) are shown to not cause coronavirus spread, isnt it? the coronavirus narrative concerning mass gatherings was put to bed, as I said.

Thats why its hypocritical that mass gatherings at church or of Republicans or at Sturgus supposedly still do spread. Its the liberal media narrative.

You claimed that it would 'put the corona narrative to bed'.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

Listen to the experts!!!

Dr Birx says Portland is a coronavirus hotspot. Its indisputable.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

It's just odd that some people don't support wearing masks then complain that things haven't opened up again.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

All people have to do is follow the rules and the numbers will drop.

Not really

Yes really. As evidenced by all the countries that didn't have a pathetic non-response to the virus.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

It's just odd that some people don't support wearing masks then complain that things haven't opened up again.

Americathink.

It's like those who do nothing for the virus, then claim it's going away while the numbers are still climbing.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Its the liberal media narrative.

You do love a good 'narrative' don't you? The virus doesn't play politics, so you trying to will theories into existence will probably have you making another u-turn in the near future. When it again becomes politically expedient for you to do so, of course.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

The interesting thing about liberals when you listen to them, the solution to everything is always bailouts, stimulus and more money and that's it. Nothing about legislation or long term solution, ever. If there's a problem or crisis, throw money at it.

That is interesting, first you accuse your President of being "Anti-American" because he wears a mask, now you're calling him a Liberal...

Who approved the billion dollar farm subsidies? Who signed both previous trillion dollar bailout bills? Who signed the bailout executive orders yesterday?

I agree with you - he is Anti-American and a Socialist too...

coronavirus hotspot: Portland. anything going on there?

Just Roger Stone, Don Jr, and Eric going around looting and causing violence wearing a T-Shirt saying "I'm BLM"...

Over 5 million infections - and Donald plays golf and whines that no ones loves him....

Which is wrong, I'm sure Putin adores him....

5 ( +5 / -0 )

it did. the media narrative is that Protests (mass gatherings) are shown to not cause coronavirus spread, isnt it?

Do you have reading comprehension problems? This is literally nothing the liberal media is saying. Maybe your right-wing extremist MSM is saying it though.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Yes, the liberal media narrative was NO mass gatherings. NONE.

We did this and coronavirus cases plummeted to the point we could start to reopen. curve was flattened.

But reopening helps the economy, which cant be allowed to happen for political purposes. So when an opportunity to protest happened, these became necessary.

Thought to help Dems politically, "protests" and only "protest" are perfectly safe. Once these protests start to hurt Dems politically, they will be shut down. Which is what the Portland mayor is doing now by suddenly decrying the violence, cause he knows these videos are bad for Dems.

https://katu.com/news/local/portland-protests-continue-as-mayor-wheeler-decries-violence

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

There is no link between organized protests and the spread of coronavirus. Thats what your liberal media says.

Despite Portland being identified by the "experts" as a coronavirus hotspot.

Of course any other mass gathering, school, church, rallies, its a superspreading event.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

There is no link between organized protests and the spread of coronavirus. Thats what your liberal media says.

Yeah, because you have a great track record of being accurate right? ROFL.

No, that's not what "my" liberal media says. Once again you show you are either unable to comprehend what you read, or you are willfully distorting it. Either way doesn't say much for you.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

I think you should fine the riot organizers.

...um, if such a thing ever existed. Unlike the leaders of other gatherings.

But hey, don't let that destroy your alt-right extremist narrative.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

yet you always seem to focus on me because you cant dispute the facts I post, with links.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

Of course any other mass gathering, school, church, rallies, its a superspreading event.

But your 'narrative' is that neither have any consequence, right? Seems odd that you complain about about a media narrative by creating your own, then expecting us to just believe it.

Despite Portland being identified by the "experts" as a coronavirus hotspot.

Nothing in your links identifies Portland as a 'hotspot'. Again, you are trying to will your 'narrative' into existence because you need it to be true for political reasons.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

I think the Administration could have reacted better to the initial outcry, rather than letting it get out of hand and blaming the citizenry . . . . EPA has approved products like Lysol disinfectant which can kill the virus, and many countries with much fewer cases have helped diminished their perils by using medicines like Avigan . . . .

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

What? The expert says clearly that it is

Nothing in your links identifies Portland as a 'hotspot'.

Dr. Deborah Birx thinks Portland may be considered a COVID-19 hot spot

What? The expert says clearly that it is

Dr. Deborah Birx thinks Portland may be considered a COVID-19 hot spot

Quotes from Dr. Birx claiming that Portland is a hotspot, or why it is a hotspot; none.

The link you provided is from a Sinclair Group outlet, so no surprises that the headline and the actual details don't really match.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I don't see what all of the arguing is about. Follow the rules, get fewer infections, the economy opens up again.

Who here wears masks and who here doesn't? Who here supports following the experts and who here doesn't?

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Task force coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx said there are encouraging signs across the South, a region hit hard by a surging pandemic in recent weeks, but she outlined the new areas of concern in a private phone call with state and local officials Wednesday, according to a recording of the call obtained by the journalism non-profit Center for Public Integrity.

“We are concerned that both Baltimore and Atlanta remain at a very high level,” Birx said on the call. “Kansas City, Portland, Omaha, of course what we talked about in the Central Valley (in California).”

“We are seeing a slow uptick in test positivity in cases in places like Chicago, Boston and Detroit and DC,” she said, adding that the virus has entered a new phase.

She the one that thinks mask wearing inside your home should be mandatory?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

now do you need an audio recording or a signed affadavit from her that she said it? Want me to have her call you and repeat it?

What I wanted was an actual article showing her quotes, so you eventually providing the quotes that you claimed are little reason for you to gloat. However, it still doesn't prove your case that Portland is a 'hotspot', nor does it mention anything about the protests causing the 'hotspot'.

What we still have you is claiming that mass gatherings don't cause increased transmissions, but that protests do, and then you link to articles which say they don't, but offer none to claim that they do. It's a twisted position that you hold.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Keep blaming Trump and other political leaders for your own mistakes, 'muricans. But if you want to find the real responsibles for the crisis, all you have to do is simply looking on a mirror.
