It didn't have to be this bad.

That sounds like a pretty good campaign slogan.

An the pièce de résistance after trump's failed rally and failed reopening of Republican ran is this:

Research Determines Protests Did Not Cause Spike In Coronavirus Cases

God does not bless America. God blesses ALL countries, or NONE (my guess is the latter).

As long as the old folks avoid contact, which they are doing, let’s celebrate our revolution. USA!

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Sure, the protests can’t be proven to have caused the spikes. Because contact tracers are not allowed to ask if people protested or not.

so every positive person “wasn’t a protester” by default.

I’m enjoying the holiday weekend, happy July 4th Japan! Congratulations!

The great news is, less people are dying even though the majority of people getting sick are younger so that’s something to relish. As for the elderly, as long as they’re aware, careful and stay away or stay in their homes, less elderly will die from the virus. Happy 4th everyone!

That's quite the conspiracy you are theorizing on there. You should contact OAN, they'll love it. And we all know their reporting can be believed. Just ask Putin.

NYC's contact tracers have been told not to ask people if they've attended a protest

For contact tracing to work, public health authorities must regain the trust of Black communities

A long history of surveillance and racist medical experiments does not make Black Americans want to give up personal information to the government.

Latest news is that antibody tests results are being counted now as “positives”. People who had or weeks or months ago and didn’t even notice.

Wouldn’t surprise me as that would explain the extremely low death rate.

Yeah, the American medical system is such a mess that the Trump administration has made it so that private hospitals are financially incentivized to declare anything they can to get a bonus for a coronavirus death. As such, the numbers in America are as much a mess as the dictatorship in China, where no one actually knows the real numbers.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

The key is what percent of expected deaths are from corona now. It’s extremely low compared to before.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/COVID19/index.htm

why doesn’t the media tell us how many people were expected to die this week usually based on historical results? then compare that to this year and show us that corona caused 25% (or -1%) more (or less)?

In countries where the virus has been controlled properly, we look at how many people actually died. America is number one in the world at failing in that regards.

Seems like from the German and other US medical experts that the herd theory does work.

https://reason.com/2020/07/01/covid-19-herd-immunity-is-much-closer-than-antibody-tests-suggest-say-2-new-studies/

No wonder there’s less panic.

Death rates are waaaaay down

Most definitely.

This is something you’ll never see in the msm, it just undercuts their narrative.

per capita, you forgot that. and not who died months or weeks ago. but now.

6 times as many people have recovered than have died.

0.04 death rate, including the ones Cuomo killed in the nursing homes, 25% of total.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Yes, we are "living" with it. death rate is 0.04%.

I wonder how many "Anti-Americans" we'll have wearing masks this weekend...

bass4funkJuly 4  10:07 am JST

Trump re-tweeted a post that said wearing a mask is "anti-American"...do you agree? Yes or no...

I agree

You know, those anti-Americans like Mike Pence, Mitch McConnell, and Sean Hannity....

Good they can wear them if they want, I could care less. I personally find anti-American to force someone to wear one, especially if you have respiratory problems and if people don’t like it, that’s ok, but it will never change my opinion or outlook of the mask. If I go somewhere and they really insist, I’ll wear one, but if not, I won’t.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

You support Trump and freedom. The point about Trump wanting to throw people in jail for burning a bit of cloth seems very anti-freedom to me.

where did I say I support trump? I called it BS. What’s wrong with you people?

invalid CSRF

This entire pandemic response relies much too much on "other's" actions and responses, expecting governments and scientists to "help" determine and act on and for people's behalf to protect and save everyone from disasters and death. Just as others cannot live your life, you cannot live the life of others. There is "resposibility" and there is "reliance". But to live one must first take responsibility for oneself and rely on oneself.

To do that take actions that is for yourself before demanding that of others. And let others do the same for themselves. If they do not, it is their problem and not ours. Do not make some problem that do not affect us directly, our problem.

I am also getting tired of those that only know how to point fingers at others.

Remember that that when you point one finger at the other, there is "always" three (3) fingers pointing back at you. And all that starts with one's perspective and attitude. It is better not to make one's problem a problem for others.

Yes, an admission that Pence, McConnell, and Hannity are all "anti-American"....

Who does that leave on Trump's team who's not?

I guess just one - haven't seen Putin wearing a mask yet...

Florida reported 11,445 confirmed infections on Saturday, bringing the statewide total to more than 190,000. Alabama this week also set a record for infections reported in a day, with more than 1,700 confirmed cases recorded Thursday, and state health officials worried that the holiday weekend could lead to the type of spike that followed Memorial Day weekend.

We are facing a national crisis - we have a global pandemic that other nation's have managed to curtail, but is surging across our southern states - states with Repub Governors that downplayed the virus and "opened early"...

Yes, we should all just stay home and crash the economy to add to our worries.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Do you feel 'free' today? Do you feel the swell of 'liberty'? As we are holed up in our homes, unable to attend 'Independence Day' gatherings, unable to see our families - grandparents separated from their grandchildren? Firework celebrations snuffed out, parades canceled. Oh well, what's there to celebrate, anyway?

We are facing a national crisis - we have a global pandemic that other nation's have managed to curtail,

We also have the 3 rd largest population and surprisingly with less deaths even as the numbers are increasing is a great thing.

but is surging across our southern states - states with Repub Governors that downplayed the virus and "opened early"...

With less deaths, again it is a great sign.

Hmmm..... Trump supporters think it's great that we have the highest infection rate in the world - and other countries are all significantly lower. And our deaths rates will spike in a month as all these infected people are in the ICU - well those lucky enough to get in - Texas is already maxed out. Sorry.....

Grandma is in the ICU with a tube jammed down her throat - but hey, that's a great sign....

Delusion...
