28 years ago Russia guaranteed Ukraine’s independence and security in exchange for Ukraine giving up its nuclear arsenal.

Today, Russia is not only attacking Ukraine but asking for security guarantees from Ukraine…. does that even make sense?

No, Ukraine failure is not a USA failure, it's a Biden administration failure (particularly Blinken/Sullivan failures), no such failure exist under a multitudes of Republican administrations.

Sure doesn't look like a failure. NATO is more united than every, Europe and the US have rallied to aid Ukraine. Sweden and Finland are joining NATO. If that's a failure, what does success look like?

...are you kidding? USA has taken a massive loss because of the war in Ukraine. Ukraine has resulted in out of cycle inflation, and subsequent interest rate rises at a time when USA is supposedly trying to reshore industries. This was has been a disaster for US investors (massive capital losses), a disaster for the average worker massive reduction in purchasing power, a disaster for USA's relations with potential allies, and essentially is the driver for an arms race in the western pacific.

BTW, more united doesn't necessarily mean 'safer', all that has occurred is more defense spending by NATO countries AND in Asia.

History of Ukraine/from independence in 1991 till now/is history of corruption,mafia linked governments,ruined economy/when many young ukraine citizens have left country for good with no plans to return/..Its also more sad part about brainwashing with antrussian nationalism,gloryfying of guys like Bandera etc,with shovinism and nationalism fulled hate towargds to Russia while UA have enjoyed cheap end russian energy sources like oil or gas and also busy trade as well.Iis also history of betrayal when so called "saviors" like Yuschenko,Poroshenko or recently Zelensky have traded future of own country in name of US and west interests while ordinary UA citizens have to suffer more and more.
