“It is not a serious decision to set such a limit for Russian prices, which is quite comfortable for the budget of the terrorist state,” Zelenskyy said, referring to Russia. He said the $60-per-barrel level would still allow Russia to bring in $100 billion in revenues per year.

Zelensky brings up a good point.

Why is the cap set so high?

Why not set it at $30 per barrel like Zelensky has asked for?

Why did the EU openly snub Zelensky's request?

“With Russia unlikely to achieve major battlefield successes in the next several months, maintaining even tacit approval of the war amongst the population is likely to be increasingly difficult for the Kremlin,” the British ministry said.

After 5 months of trying, Russia still haven't captured Bakhmut. Even if they eventually capture it, it won't actually get them any further in capturing Donetsk Oblast.

Do the CIA know they are dealing with a bunch of Russian agents and crooks

Gonna get awfully cold for the combat alfalfa in their uncovered foxholes without enough winter gear or sources of heat.

The Midget dwarf‘s indifference to his own soldiers’ suffering and Hypothermia might just reap more alfalfa this winter than the UA. BUT it won’t be for lack of trying.

but yes many dont share same feeling, ask heroi from Bakhmut, there are plenty of info videos, images of destruction of UA forces during last few day but yes-UA forces are winning at all fronts and even U.S. intel chief thinking 'optimistically' for Ukraine forces so all as planned no doubts-its moskals who are crushed.

again nobody talks about peace and all are talking about war...

Eastman,do you call ,being blown back into the stone age winning,5 million Ukrainian lost their jobs, living in primitives condition winning,I hope too see what losing is

-13 ( +1 / -14 )

Yrral did you ever heard abt word irony?

I feel sorry abt UA brainwashed people who must die in name of US interests...

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

East,I know your position, similar to mind, but it time to tell Zelensky,it time too save what you got, Ukrainain never known true democracy, demonizing their Russian speaking citizen, Zelensky shown his true colors, desperate and afraid

History of Ukraine/from independence in 1991 till now/is history of corruption, mafia linked governments, ruined economy/when many young ukraine citizens have left country for good with no plans to return/..Its also more sad part about brainwashing with antrussian nationalism, gloryfying of guys like Bandera etc, with shovinism and nationalism fulled hate towargds to Russia while UA have enjoyed cheap end russian energy sources like oil or gas and also busy trade as well.Iis also history of betrayal when so called "saviors" like Yuschenko,Poroshenko or recently Zelensky have traded future of own country in name of US and west interests while ordinary UA citizens have to suffer more and more.

Ukraine failure is the US failure Google Macron Putin

No, Ukraine failure is not a USA failure, it's a Biden administration failure (particularly Blinken/Sullivan failures), no such failure exist under a multitudes of Republican administrations. Remember it was Reagan that delivered Ukraine its independence.

I feel sorry abt UA brainwashed people who must die in name of US interests...

...are you kidding? USA has taken a massive loss because of the war in Ukraine. Ukraine has resulted in out of cycle inflation, and subsequent interest rate rises at a time when USA is supposedly trying to reshore industries. This was has been a disaster for US investors (massive capital losses), a disaster for the average worker massive reduction in purchasing power, a disaster for USA's relations with potential allies, and essentially is the driver for an arms race in the western pacific.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

East,Ukraine has become a distraction, lots of these Ukrainain do not embrace principles of liberty , equality and justice for all and embrace racist tendencies, when African , Asian and fled the war, knowing Blacks and others minorities do not support their racist tendencies in America

Sure doesn't look like a failure. NATO is more united than every, Europe and the US have rallied to aid Ukraine. Sweden and Finland are joining NATO. If that's a failure, what does success look like?

Remember it was Reagan that delivered Ukraine its independence.

You really believe this? Just because Reagan said "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall", Gorbachev went, "Oh that's a good idea, I'll break up the Soviet Union".

Sure doesn't look like a failure. NATO is more united than ever

You can unite NATO without wiping trillions off the value of US corporations, similarly you can or at least 'should' unite NATO without reducing the purchasing power of US and western allies citizen's purchasing power.

BTW, more united doesn't necessarily mean 'safer', all that has occurred is more defense spending by NATO countries AND in Asia.

2020,I guess you like country run by White Supremacists, Sweden is headed by White Supremacists

I didn't like when the US was headed by a white supremacist, but luckily he lost in 2020. And I would call all the US white supremacists, just because their leader was.

Biden didn't do that.

The US dollar is stronger than ever.

People generally reap what they sowed, and European are reaping it combined interest

War is a racket, according to US Maj Gen Smedley D Butler, in his essay “War is a Racket”. An eye opener that News outlets do not want to bring in the open.

In fact it’s growing!

Russia has revealed its Potemkin army to be a joke and its bing ground up into nothing.

Russia’s economy is in long-term decline, it’s air “farse” missing, it’s “fleet” focused on other things like buoyancy.

Ukraine has stopped the alfalfa advance and is going to liberate the rest of Ukraine

Feels like victory to me!

Funny as it’s Russia’s combat alfalfa that’s getting reaped and the UA doing the reaping.

Just wait till the spring when the re-armed western trained UA sets out to reap what it has sown amongst the Russian ranks.

The grim reaper might have to subcontract he might get so busy.

What is the point of this story? I didn't get it.

Winter is coming and the geese have flown away.

UN sanctions are going to kick the Kremlin hard. Russians will get more discontented. Stay tuned. A new 'color revolution' may be in the cards.

get them any further in capturing Donetsk Oblast.

how can you capture a part of your own country?

What is the point of this story? I didn't get it.

American propaganda to counter the fact that Ukraine is losing, EU is losing and economy devastated, and because of the proxy war, early next year the rest of the world will suffer.

Could not agree more. All in name of US interests to conquer and control all the world.Do you now famous story from Hans Christian Andersen about naked king while plebs believed tha the have most nice clothes in the world?Earlier world will remove out of US lies-better...

- get them any further in capturing Donetsk Oblast.

Donetsk is in Ukraine.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

The 'cap' was set so 'high' so that when the result of Russia simply turning off the taps for NATO altogether proves disastrous for the economies of Europe etc, the propaganda campaign to blame that on Putin rather than the US won't be too ludicrous for even the most willing blind believers to swallow.

Dec 6, 2022 :

28 years ago Russia guaranteed Ukraine’s independence and security in exchange for Ukraine giving up its nuclear arsenal.

Today, Russia is not only attacking Ukraine but asking for security guarantees from Ukraine…. does that even make sense?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Looks like Ukraine attacked a couple of Russian air bases deep inside Russian territory and the result is that it blunted an attack on Ukrainian infrastructure that was supposed to be the biggest yet.

These are the small ways in which Ukraine is winning against its much larger oppressor.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

just wondering.

Interesting to see that you were so in need to write an anti-west pro-Russia comment that you came to an article from yesterday

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The Russian rear (and all of Crimea) is “at risk” of being struck now.

Good.

Perhaps Russia will reconsider the wisdom of trying to “de-Nazify”, nay “de-Satanize!” (A moderately big ask of its combat alfalfa considering God himself was content to exile the Devil, but I digress) a sovereign country based on an obvious lie.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Ukrainians are now hitting Russians where it hurts - in the motherland itself and they need to make the winter colder for the Russians, too, tit for Putin's tat. "General Winter" must be made to work for the Ukrainians as well in order to push back Putin's barbaric murdering, torturing, raping, pillaging, library-burning fascist hordes from ALL Ukrainian territory.

I don't think so, a long winter is coming in which Russia will have the tactical advantage...

Yeah, because freezing weather, poor equipment and long supply lines worked so well for Napoleon and Hitler, eh?

Haha !

oh please share with us this so-called tactical advantage
