The US immigration laws need to be changed. To seek asylum, file in a different country. Everyone showing up at the border with no means of support, need to be refused entry and if found inside the US, deported and billed for the flight.

Economic migrants shouldn't come.

Unaccompanied children need to be sent back to their home country and reunited with family there. If there is family in the US already, then those good people should return to their home country, formally adopt the kids, and bring them to the US, legally.

The US needs to shutdown the ability for people illegally in the US to earn a living. That is fines for the workers AND heavy fines for the employers. Fines so high that they'd lose their business AND personal wealth when caught.

Doing anything less than these things will never solve the run for the border.

The chief said he would investigate to make sure there was no “unacceptable” actions by the agents.

Yes, mistreatment of migrants is a carryover from the attitudes of the old administration and should not be allowed.

Similarly large numbers of Mexicans have been sent home during peak years of immigration but over land and not so suddenly.

Flies in the face of right wing arguments, as usual not backed by facts!

No, it won’t and it’s not these peoples fault, it’s the fault of this administration for allowing this to happen and not securing our borders.

But dear sir the former president built such wonderful walls, spending money equal to the GDP of a medium sized nation.

Turns out the walls could not stand rains and wind and the parts that could were easily scalable.

I have a feeling he wasn't too great at building things!!!

Fortunately he was much better at eliminating Democrat hoax viruses by Easter 2020.

Ok, so we get to see and talk about the good and positive aspect of this dire situation in order to give this administration a positive outlook. Thankfully, people can see for themselves what the truth is and the media can run and protect this guy as much as they want, the truth always prevails.
