Kinda curious about how quickly MAGAs can fall in line now that Daddy has found a new ally in China.

This article doesn't mention it but the reason Trump so obviously flipped is due to what always causes him to flip - money.
*Trump met with a major hedge fund manager **earlier this month at a Club for Growth donor retreat in Palm Beach, Florida, on March 1. The Club for Growth, a conservative political organization to which has donated millions, has opposed anti-TikTok efforts. *
The manager, who did not respond to a request for comment on Monday, owns a significant stake in in TikTok's China-based parent company, The Wall Street Journal reported last year.
*The former president, who had originally spearheaded efforts to ban TikTok during his time in the White House, reversed his stance last week, posting on his own social media platform that getting rid of TikTok would benefit Facebook.*

And there it is. Trump prancing to the tune of his corporate Globalist donor - willing to sacrifice our security to China for a few million in donations.
Well, have to pay all those quack lawyers, civil judgments, and fines.

Typical.
trump wanted to get rid of TikTok, you object. How could he? Think of the children! What a raycist!
now that he says it should stay under certain conditions? you want it gone, of course.
Flippity floppity
John
Speaking of Flippity Floppity….
Trump. What made him change his mind?
Somebody bought him.
Blacklabel
And you can certainly prove that allegation in a court of law, right?
or just speculating?
Blacklabel
to take a position that a campaign donor wants you to do now means you are….“bought”?
how odd. Somebody better tell Joe and his donors.
or you can just cry harder and accept reality.

Do adults use TikTok?

“Democrat Sen Warner cedes 'Trump was right' on TikTok being 'enormous' national security issue
'Trump was right years ago when he pointed out the enormous national security concerns around TikTok,' Warner says.”
only now that Trump is now against it, does this come out?
Political games in an election year to distract the feeble minded left.
Fighto!
TikTok - one of the biggest scams inflicted on the low IQ in the West by the Communist Party. A great vehicle to facilitate hacking, cyber crime and other China-based scams.
Ban it. Now.

I'd say taking a position COMPLETELY OPPOSITE what you stated before - that position being CCP-owned Tik-Tok presented a clear national security threat to the US...and flipping on that statement AFTER meeting with a Globalist Hedge Fund Manager who has large shares of the company was "bought"....
Actually more like signed, sealed, and delivered...
And I thought MAGA-world hated Global capitalists and their "New World Order"...you and your compatriots have certainly railed against them here. What's so different about this "Globalist" except maybe he's on your team? Hypocrisy?
John
There are already SO MANY provable crimes that have a higher priority. But sit tight, sweetie. The DOJ will get to the bottom of Don’s “Flippity Floppity”…
John
If there were a World Trade Organisation, this type of banning would be against the rule. I mean a real WTO, not a useless one as current.
Kurumazaka 2
Blacklabel, he very loudly said the quiet part out loud. You can pretend he didn’t, but he did.
He still sees Tik Tok as a national security threat, but Tik Tok likes him more than Meta does. He said that.
Kurumazaka 2
National security risk or not, banning Tik Tok helps his detractors. That’s all that matters to him. As always, it’s all about him.

So Trump is now supporting a Chinese-owned entity that poses a threat to us...not so strange when you look at his history...
Trump has had a business relationship with the Chinese for decades who make many items of his "Trump Collection" clothing line...even when he was saying the Chinese were "cheating US workers out of jobs"....
Trump had a secret bank account and paid the Chinese over $200K in taxes that he was required to acknowledge when assuming the Presidency - which he didn't and kept it concealed...
Trump was effusive with his praise of Xi when the COVID outbreak started...
Trump helped Ivanka get 18 expedited Chinese trademarks for her shoe and handbag venture, while he was President and Ivanka was a US government employee...a violation of federal law...
Trump said it was "great" that Xi was "President for life"....
Trump supports Musk even though Tesla makes electric cars in China that Musk then sells in North America...
Now he's protecting a Chinese company that even he admits is a threat to our national security...
It's clear Trump is "bought and paid for" by the Chinese, in addition to the Russians...

Smart move on Trump's part.
Biden?
.
John
Trump would sell his sons for a pack of smokes and he doesn’t even smoke.
Of course someone bought him.

Perhaps a meeting with the owner of Susquehanna International Group has refocused Trump's mind. The group has a 15% stake in ByteDance.

And how many backdoors do you think the NSA have in US operating systems? You may recall those plans for Fed scans of data your device backs up to the cloud.
TikTok isn't just social media, it is part of peoples' livelihoods. If they ban it, its users will punish them at the polls, and ultimately, it will be Biden that signs off on it, and faces the biggest backlash. Banning TikTok may tip the scales and hand Trump victory.
Or they could just wait until a different service becomes trendier.
Blacklabel
i say he is entitled to his own opinion.
wow, “not a cult”, huh?
so why are you now for banning TikTok when you were against it previously??
dagon
If they are a corporate interest then you have basically defined it ,so yes.
So the "leftists" are against the Chinese Communist controlled TikTok, and also against Trump who has a bromance with authoritarian Xi.
And this "left" wants to ban TikTok which is a fountain of "woke" content from lefty youth.
Just want to make sure I have all the MAGA terms in order because the train of logic is not making a lick of sense to me. But I suppose that is the point.
Blacklabel
yet you criticized Trump for banning it. How odd.
Blacklabel
so have you. Which you have yet to address.
John
Thats a good one. Mind if I “borrow” it?
But the real question is why did Don flip?
Same reason he does everything; someone bought him.
