Somehow I don't think this was an 'accidental' alarm.

A U.S. military base in South Korea accidentally blared an alert siren instead of a bugle call, causing a brief scare just as the U.S. and its allies are monitoring for signs of provocation from North Korea, which has warned it could send a “Christmas gift” over deadlocked nuclear negotiations.

Let us charitably assume that what somebody mistook for panic was actually the urgent response expected when an emergency siren is activated.

It's a bit weird, the same mistake in two days, even if in different locations. Something is off.

I thought such things happen only in Hawaii.... if it is a military base, there is no excuse for pushing the wrong button.
