We're not trying to excludevyou, we just don't want you present.

With Bolton on the case, we can all rest assured that another war is in the cards. Didn't Bolton get enough starting the Iraq and Afghan wars that created so much instability?

Trump can't even negotiate a single-nation deal, much less a multi-nation deal. Of course he doesn't want the others at the table.

And frankly, the others shouldn't waste time bringing Trump to the table. They can deal with NK separate to the US.

If it is to be a one-on-one type negotiation then the last people you would want doing this is the current Trump regime.  The last summit was a debacle.  Trump appears to do no prep work and thinks he can wing it.  We are talking nukes here, not wholesale concrete rates.

In case anyone missed it, there was a revealing interview with the outgoing French ambassador to the US in the Guardian last week:

“It’s like [trying] to analyse the court of Louis XIV,” Araud said. “You have an old king, a bit whimsical, unpredictable, uninformed, but he wants to be the one deciding.”

“Bolton is really very competent. He is very knowledgeable. He has been around for 40 years. At the same time you have to understand that he doesn’t control this president, because this president is uncontrollable.”

Araud said the tweeted cancellation of North Korean sanctions, and the exclusion of Bolton from key meetings and meals at the Hanoi summit, were designed to “humiliate” Bolton and demonstrate that the president “is the master and the bureaucrats are nothing”.

Shocking, but not surprising.

Mr Bolton (I have a hard time calling him Ambassador Bolton) is another recycled loser from the George W (Weapons of Mass Deception) Bush administration ... he couldn’t be trusted then, and should not be trusted now.

That’s a picture of three people who would feel nothing at all lying to your face.

Of course, it is hard to lie to the American people with so many others around. tRump can also work on his side deals and use lil ' Kim as middleman channel to talk to his boyfriend Puti. You know he was jealous about lil' Kim and Puti's get-together.

Bolton said. "The past policies that have tried a step-by-step approach have all failed. Kim or his father have gotten economic relief and then somehow have never gotten around to that commitment to denuclearize."

Bolton seems to be suggesting an all-or-nothing approach, expecting NK to give up everything in return for nothing, and if it doesn't, then kaboom. War.

This is the same thing Bolton and Pompeo are trying to do with Iran, presenting a "deal" that it knows the other side cannot possibly agree to, leading to, again, kaboom. War.

The difference between the two cases is that Trump personally likes Kim (despite the fact that North Korea actually has nuclear weapons while Iran does not). Kim is the kind of dictator Trump wishes he himself could be. Trump has no such love for the Iranian leadership, both because of pressure from Netanyahu/Adelson and (more importantly) because it was Obama who had success in reining in Iran's nuclear program.

So we've got a couple of neocons working with a capricious nincompoop president. Not a good combination.

Poor, Sara Huckabee! She has to ride this trainwreck of an administration until the end of the line. She hasn't been able to find a job because people know that she has been flat out lying. She just admitted to the public recently after the released Mueller report mention that she lied to the public about James Comey.

Could meetings between the two Korea's achieve more?

most probably, but then Moon would get the Nobel Peace prize and not Trump, Trump wont have anybody stand in the way of his dream

All the way to Jan. 20, 2025!

Sometimes I confuse Bolton and pompydom for dick and rumsfield. Same game, different names. And both bush and trump, same brain, same cowfeed. Abe is a loser lapdog.

NK issue is about the reunification of North and South Korea. Not world bully, or comfort women champions.

years ago, I went to east Berlin on a day pass from the west. Wow! Then later, I went to unified Germany. Wow.! It is proof that reconciliation can harvest peace and loving. Don’t wanna mention Russia/Crimea, but seems great for Crimeans.

NK has great resources and abundant cheap labor, South has technology. What a perfect combination. Same language, historical heritage, and family trees.

That photo says it all.

Who's running the country? Who's making Policy?

The hard right evangelicals with their distorted vision of reality.

Trump thinks he's on the same page as these folks, but he's just a stodgy puppet for the ones who want excalibur.

Kim's talks with Putin this week certainly re-set the denuclearization question. Putin essentially requested that there be no more nuclear and missile testing, while keeping the existing nuclear program.

I'm sure Kim was emboldened by this, and will be at the forefront of any "de-nuclearization" talks, meaning Go-It-Alone Trump Inc will need to re-assess it's position drastically.

Wish Bolton would run for President! Love that man! I totally agree,

The US should have no involvement; let North and South Korea come to a mutual agreement. The US want to impress their will on NK and put NK under the heel of Washington. What the US want is to disarm ALL nations so that there can be no opposition to US domination and dictatorship. NK should NOT denuclearise until both the US and its pit bull Israel denuclearises. So, the US want other nations to denuclearise, disarm while it continues to expand and modernise its nuclear arsenal and spends record amounts on its military machine. The US want nations to disarm while it sell weapons to Israel, UAE, Saudi Arabia.....

Bolton? And peace? Never gonna happen.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

NK has held out against Trump for 2 years and 3 months, it can hold out for 1 year and 9 months longer.

How is that Nobel Peace Prize that Trump was bragging about looking?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Trump is going to sell-out the US and its allies, so he can get a win. He is not getting a Nobel Peace Prize. He hasn't actually accomplished anything. His accomplishment has been trying to undo President Obama's accomplishments as revenge for being made a fool. The reality TV show schtick will only last so long. No matter how much he lies to his base at rallies, historians are documenting what is really happening.

After Mr.Bolton's mad rehtoric of  "Libya model" shown in TV ,who is going to trust you again? K.J. is not that stupid!

How is that Nobel Peace Prize that Trump was bragging about looking?

How come Obama couldn't take care of this during his eight years?

How is that Nobel Peace Prize that Trump was bragging about looking?

How come Obama couldn't take care of this during his eight years?

The difference between President Obama and tRump is that Pres. Obama didn't ask for it, and tRump is basically begging for it. tRrump wish could accomplish what the former president did.

He is even jealous that President Obama has more twitter followers.

Trump mad over losing Twitter followers and Complains that Obama has more, White House confirms

tRump is such a sore loser!

Well Obama also took Iran's nukes off the table by crafting an international agreement that includes the US, China, Russia, and Europe. All Trump has done is try to get Iran to leave the agreement while at the same time giving Kim concessions and getting nothing in return.

Not really a comparison.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Serrano: I'm sure all the anti-Trump administration people posting here could successfully negotiate a denuclearization deal with Kim. Let's see it.

Giving up on the "master negotiator" already? Your only defense seems to be that your guy failed like all the others so it's not fair to criticize him.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Trump is hedging his bets, putting money on N Korea and Iran, so that he can get his wag the dog war and a guaranteed second term. I hope the masses that gathered at his biggest of all time inauguration are the first to volunteer for these wars.

Wish Bolton would run for President! Love that man! I totally agree,

You love the main architect of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? The guy that lied to the country to get us into Iraq? He sure is a great role model.

I remember a time when bass said he hated neoconservatives. Because it was like two weeks ago.
