Not nearly enough. Needs to be F-16s, tanks and ATACMs. Ukraine will need them when Russia is defeated anyways.

It not gonna make any difference for a lost cause, Russian control Bakhmut, Ukraine have lost more ground since the build up,their will be political repercussion for all this wasted money

The remaining $500 million came from Presidential Drawdown Authority funds, which allows the president to take from current U.S. stocks in an emergency.

“Kevin” wouldn’t control this. The money is drying up that’s why Zelensky making these speeches now.

Our cooperation will allow for the new enhancement of your security, for our economy and yours, for jobs in both our countries," Zelenskyy said by video link.

Supporting Ukraine against Russia is an order of magnitude cheaper than the price we would pay if Ukraine does not defeat the Russians. Go back and study the history of the late 1930s leading up to WWII. If the Allies had united earlier and helped the Czechs and Poles defeat Hitler when he came hunting the world would have been spared the holocaust and all the other horrors of WWII. Same thing if the US had better supported Chiang Kai-shek in the 1930s against Japan.

The real reason the two Bs and some others here and in the Republican Party whine about the cost of supporting Ukraine is they really in their heart want Russia to win, and would love to have a government just like Russia's in the US. That is their fervent dream, a white "christian" nation that suppresses feminism, LGBTQ and minority ethnic and religious groups.

A large majority in the US Senate won't support cutting aid to Ukraine nor will Democrats in the House so any attempt to do so by the few House Republicans who do not support Ukraine will fail.

Great news! Let's continue to get Ukraine the tools they need to expel the invaders.

Russia's nose needs to be so bloody that they don't even consider invading a NATO nation. This is the ounce of prevention.

From the article Blacklabel posted yesterday:

“People like MTG in re: #Ukraine. The aid is not pallets of cash. It’s in the form of military equipment, assigned a value, that is donated,” Kinzinger wrote in a tweet. “That equipment is usually older and would be replaced in the next few years anyway, at a cost. I’m sure she doesn’t understand this.”

Those invasions only happen when a Dem is in the White House, so, time has almost expired.

The Russian embassy in Washington reacted to the announcement by accusing the United States of wanting to drag out the conflict as long as possible, Russian news agency TASS said.

On the contrary, the US want Ukraine to kick Russian forces out of Ukraine sooner rather than later. This aid helps them to do that.

There is one thing that Russia could do to shorten this conflict, guaranteed.

Lesse - Russia is shimmying with Kimmy and Xi but not getting that much. They're buying drones from Iran, can't they build their own? Guess not. There's the UN sanctions that are kicking them where it counts. Draft riots, defections, even a draft conscripting men in their 40s and even 50s? C'mon, man - things ain't going so well for Russia, are they?

They can certainly shorten and even stop this war right now - by taking their lumps and getting the funk out.

Putin has put his nation to a new low and there's no getting around it.

"The decision to supply weapons to Kyiv is a step towards escalating the Ukrainian crisis and increasing the number of civilian casualties,"

Every single civilian casualty is on Russia.

kiev have to pay back all that AID/money. how they are going to do that? better to resolve this with talks.

just for reference it took brits to pay back ww2 debt to states is 61 years!!! lets just that sink in.

Its easy to wage war when you are way way far away. Ukraine is going to lose one way or other.

Better to push Putin via china. Nato/US is lost cause. They will comeback to ask for money.

So what jobs? Transporting and passing out billions in cash?

That wasn't cash that removed terrorists from Kherson.
