Didn't the US just flee from Afghanistan from an army of the middle ages?

Why now move in on Russia?

What is there to prove?

lets keep talk

USA with Russia/abt expansion of NATO eastward and russian security and national interests/

Kiev gov with people of Lugansk and Donetsk/never happened since 2014 and conflict goes on unsolved/

say NO to war in any case.

There are US troops on the border of North Korea and China.

Is the US going to invade these countries?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

After all, armed Americans are operating in the trenches of East Ukraine.

Doubtlessly, they are putting in every possible effort to get ready for war hideously.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Well, not one said or admitted or even implied that.

In fact I had no shared opinion on his comments despite you claiming my agreement with them.

So then what's the verdict - Carlson right or wrong?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Want to know what the far-right Repub position on Ukraine is, well you have a lot of options to choose from;

Mitch McConnell: "The administration is moving in the right direction"...

Kevin McCarthy: "Biden is weak" and we should be "acting tougher" against Russia...

The establishment typical-the world first.

Agree - they're just NEOCON warmongers. Glad to see you diss them....

Marjory Taylor Greene: "Biden is trying to start a war, not Putin"....

Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham: 'Why are we supporting Ukraine and not Russia?"

The anti-establishment America first

Or better said, Putin worshippers...Russia first...

Welcome to MAGA-world....

Thankfully

Thanks - clear which ones you agree with and support...

2 ( +2 / -0 )

They key concern is that if a direct confrontation does kick off between Nato and Russia and one side starts losing heavily with 'conventional' weapons, they then decide to go the nuclear route...

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Well, Putin can be relieved at least his propaganda channel in the US is still supporting him....

I'm not sure who you think you are addressing on here with these corporate MSM war propaganda updates, but I'd say 90% of us on here don't pay any mind to it.

Just dodging the question... You agree with Tucker supporting Russia over Ukraine? Yes or no.

He didn’t and he was clear about that, he just asked, what’s in it for the US and that is a very serious and legitimate question.

Another dodge. Tucker clearly said; “Why is it disloyal to side with Russia but loyal to side with Ukraine?”

He followed that up with; "Imagine if Mexico fell under the direct military control of China. We would see that as a threat. There would be no reason for that. That’s how Russia views NATO control of Ukraine and why wouldn’t they?

Russia and Putin adoration...and propaganda....clear for all to see...

Enlightening that you should agree with him....

Nice job AP, put a Russian writer on the piece to give this phony “crises” more credibility.

Ukraine's Defense Minister

"As of today, the armed forces of Russia created no strike groups, indicating they were ready to launch an offensive tomorrow," he told Ukraine’s ICTV television channel, adding that a scenario of a Russian attack in the near future was also unlikely.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov:

Alexei Danilov: The number of Russian troops is not increasing in the form in which many people paint today. Do they have maneuvers there - yes, but they were in them all the time. This is their territory, they have the right to move left and right there. Is it unpleasant for us? Yes, it's unpleasant, but it's not news to us. If this is news to someone in the West, I apologize.

Its not surprising at all that even though the dreamed up “crises” is being pushed by the US and the UK, Europe is on the fence mostly while Germany is on the other side of the fence, that this phony Russian invasion “crises” is getting global MSM coverage. Oh yeah, no deep state.

-1 ( +9 / -10 )

Well, he certainly must be optimistic about this...

*With at least 100,000 Russian troops massing on the border of Ukraine, more than 6 in 10 Republicans and GOP-leaning independents (62 percent) now say Russian President Vladimir Putin is “a stronger leader” than Joe Biden, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll.*

https://www.yahoo.com/news/poll-as-ukraine-tensions-escalate-62-percent-of-republicans-say-putin-is-a-stronger-leader-than-biden-192437439.html

More evidence of Russia worship and Putin adoration in the former Repub party...

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

This isn't a "deep state" issue. This is a continuation one the one hand of the same uncomprehending arrogance and dismissiveness by the West of anything to the east of the old Great Schism line, and on the other hand of Russia's ongoing historical insistence on a "buffer zone" no matter what the inhabitants of that buffer zone feel about being ruled, or dominated, by Russia. That makes it a classic clash of interests issue.

I agree with your sentiment, yet it assumes first that there is a "real" crises, which there is not.

However, I was speaking of the massive corporate MSM reach while the US and UK governments push this agenda.

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

Unless posters are saying one side is more fascistic than the other, which could well be.

Given one side is literally waving Nazi flags and has SS insignias displayed, this may be the case, yes. It is hard to out-fascist actual Nazis.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

Well, Putin can be relieved at least his propaganda channel in the US is still supporting him....

I'm not sure who you think you are addressing on here with these corporate MSM war propaganda updates, but I'd say 90% of us on here don't pay any mind to it.

So Biden told Ukraine to prepare to be “sacked” and “occupied”?

Just dodging the question... You agree with Tucker supporting Russia over Ukraine? Yes or no...

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Indeed, Russia has become what it fought 75 years ago and now displays the same arrogance of the Nazi's and Stalin, and their determination to expand their territory at anyone's expense.

Lets keep supporting the freedom loving Ukrainians and their territorial integrity.

I know you are being intentionally obtuse regarding my comment, but for anyone else reading, just in case you weren't aware: the Nazis here aren't the Russians. Russia is right-leaning for sure, but not THAT conservative.

That's kind of the crux of most of the conflict. The fascists vs Russian nationals who want liberation.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Some people here seriously compare Russia to Nazi Germany?

What darkness has fallen to the western mind...

Russia since it is Russia and not Soviet Union hasn't invaded any country unlike the US who is always at war with someone.

There are US troops all over the world.

In Japan, Korea, Poland, Romania, Germany etc... and you guys are complaining about something that Russia has troops somewhere in Russia?

Ridiculous at least...

It russian lie, and you russian bot. From 2014 Ukraine have war with russia. There is a lot of evidence.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Putin is thinking: What have I done?!

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

Well, Putin can be relieved at least his propaganda channel in the US is still supporting him....

Tucker Carlson on Monday questioned the rationale behind the U.S. pledging to support Ukraine as the Eastern European nation faces the threat of a Russian invasion. “Why is it disloyal to side with Russia but loyal to side with Ukraine?”

https://www.thedailybeast.com/tucker-carlson-wonders-why-the-us-would-side-with-ukraines-fledgling-democracy-against-putins-russia?ref=scroll

Tomorrow Tucker will be urging the US to send troops - to the Russian side of the border...

All the Trump supporters here agree with Tucker?

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

"Ukrainian president had to correct Biden multiple times on their call today when he insisted Kyiv was about to be ‘sacked’ by Russian forces. At one point he even asked Biden to calm down."

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Another dodge. Tucker clearly said; “Why is it disloyal to side with Russia but loyal to side with Ukraine?”

That’s a legitimate question but doesn’t imply loyalty to either countries, but as a conversational and in a rational debate, why is that?

He followed that up with; "Imagine if Mexico fell under the direct military control of China. We would see that as a threat. There would be no reason for that. That’s how Russia views NATO control of Ukraine and why wouldn’t they?

Exactly? But again, it doesn’t imply that you are pro-Russia, but as a pro-American, I get the scenario.

Russia and Putin adoration...and propaganda....clear for all to see...

Enlightening that you should agree with him....

Well, not one said or admitted or even implied that.

Republican and also conservative posters on this forum accused Biden of being weak on Putin/Russia.

Yup as well as naive on the issue.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Putin just wrote a check, his butt cannot cash

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

Once again the word 'fascism is being used to describe either NATO or the Russian Federation i.e. Putin and oligarchs. For many good reasons it's used as a pejorative. But it has a specific definition, and it defies me to think how anyone can say the Russian Federation under Putin is not fascist; The definition below is from an English dictionary. Maybe the definition is different in one of the Slavic languages. Unless posters are saying one side is more fascistic than the other, which could well be.

Definition of fascism

often capitalized a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fascism

So Biden told Ukraine to prepare to be “sacked” and “occupied”?

ummm what?

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Tucker Carlson nor Donald Trump are mentioned in this article.

Biden’s horrific phone call with his nonsensical comments is.

Biden is set to have a call with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later Thursday,

Not surprising that some favoring a continuation of the fossil economy and supporting the global fossil establishment controlling the world's oil and gas, and who also also see the 'western' free press as an evil force want to see a Russian version of media telling them what is happening.

Hardly, but Until we can find available alternative fuel source, oil and fossil fuel will be here for a very long time, maybe in 40 years that might change, but as of now it’s not.

Those who see 'western' media as an evil force have lots of outlets they can use to get their misinformation, some coming directly from Russia/Iran, some from China, some from deep in the heart of US red states

And blue States misinformation has no color, country or political allegiance.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Biden keeps the US out of a foreign war and the “conservatives” call him weak.

Hmmm…doesn’t like like if.

Biden puts the QRF on alert and “conservatives” call him a warmonger.

Again, why is the Ukraine so important and that helps Americans how?

Why do American “conservatives” love Russia and Putin so much?

Not one single person said that or even eluded to that, not one.

I still remember when they loved our country

We do, and that’s why we keep asking and Ms. Psaki and Biden keep dodging the questions. Why?

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Agree - they're just NEOCON warmongers. Glad to see you diss them....

Yup, both parties.

Or better said, Putin worshippers...Russia first...

No, US first and why Ukraine again?

Thanks - clear which ones you agree with and support...

I already did

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Live and let live, right? What reason does Russia have to attack Ukraine? Has Ukraine been attacking Russia or committing terrorist attacks against her? No…nothing….nada!

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Just dodging the question... You agree with Tucker supporting Russia over Ukraine? Yes or no.

He didn’t and he was clear about that, he just asked, what’s in it for the US and that is a very serious and legitimate question.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Enlightening that you should agree with him....

I said he is not mentioned in the article despite your insistence to speak of him anyway to distract.

In fact I had no shared opinion on his comments despite you claiming my agreement with them.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Nice job AP, put a Russian writer on the piece to give this phony “crises” more credibility.

Wouldn't Putin first have to allow the Russian writer to report? And wouldn't Putin have to approve whatever the writer said?

Not surprising that some favoring a continuation of the fossil economy and supporting the global fossil establishment controlling the world's oil and gas, and who also also see the 'western' free press as an evil force want to see a Russian version of media telling them what is happening.

Those who see 'western' media as an evil force have lots of outlets they can use to get their misinformation, some coming directly from Russia/Iran, some from China, some from deep in the heart of US red states.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

He is. He told Ukraine President prepare to be occupied and sacked, talking in hysterics.

for that to happen means Biden did nothing to prevent Russia from doing that. = weak on Russia.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )
