Now that they have agreed to make a reduction in nukes, the converstion is likey to go something like this...(US)You go first...(Russia)Oh we couldn't, by all means, after you...

Good on them. Would like to see those weapons reduced to about 100 each; that would give enough deterrence and not leave the rest of the world in ruins if something did go down.

So they agreed to still be capable of destroying each other and taking the world along with them, except they found out that it can be achieved by a mututal cost cutting measure?

so instead of retaining the ability to destroy each other 10 times over, they only go for 8 times... wow - now I can really relax and get some sleep...

Of course Russia is going to make this deal with the Obama administration. They finally found a US president dumb enough to believe they'll comply.

Helter -- wrong. Actually they just found one smart enough to not have bought into a silly "neo-con" philosophy espoused by his near-lunatic VP. Props to Obama -- health care and now this -- all in one week.

Another huge victory for our intelligent and progressive President. Wow, this is what change really looks like. This one move will do more to increase the security of the USA than all the stupid wars and failed programs of the bush administration in his miserable 8 years.

This is the best news in 24 hours. Health care passing was best. But I've been looking for an agreement like this. Someday there won't be anymore.

Best news for world today in 2010,since the 1960s cold war,with reduction of WMD nuclear weapons to 1500 each.

World need to shift use of uranium power to Electrical Energy ,save energy resources and make billions.

More sanity coming to US and Russia defense policies via more USA-Russia improvement measures.

It's about time. But then again, it's just another opportunity to get ride of obsolete nuclear arsenal... to make room for the new and improved.

I like the Russia part of the deal.

I like the U.S. part of the deal. They are, after all, the only ones who ever dropped nuclear weapons on live targets.
