Now he's in Russian custody... but oddly the Russians are unable to kill him even now.

Because the whole world is watching now, and Joe is taking a stand against them. Putin put in Trump, chewd him and spit him out and now here's Joe who won't coddle to Russia. Joe Biden is not a sputnik. No more licking of your boots, Vladimir.

So no proof of poisoning shared with the world.

The German doctors detailed his illness. It is not a secret. It was first identified by a German military lab, and subsequently confirmed by Swedish and French labs, and later by the OPCW.

No mention of all the other countries that stock the poison.

Novichok is a Russian binary nerve agent that is known to be possessed only by the Russians. It was developed by the State Research Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology abbreviated GosNIIOKhT. There are eight known formulations of Novichok under the Chemical Weapons Convention where Russia agreed to eliminate its stockpile of chemical weapons under international supervision. In fact the version used on Mr. Navalny is a new formulation not covered by the current list of controlled weapons under the Chemical Weapons Convention, placing the Russians in violation of the convention.

There we go. Re-establashing the profitable dependence on Communist China

How does this in any way establish any kind of dependence on China? Please be specific.

Treat them as such and cut off their access to customers by undercutting them on price.

Dreamland. If you had paid attention the past two years the Saudis undercut Russia and the US. The Saudis ramped up production drastically, lowering the price of oil world wide and creating a global glut as they tried and mostly succeeded in putting US shale oil out of business. They even cut a deal with the Russians to keep the price up just enough to keep the Russians afloat while the price was still too low for US producers. It was so bad that there was a global shortage of oil tankers as brokers leased tankers to store oil in when land based storage tanks were filled to capacity. You may recall last spring the price of oil futures dropped into negative territory, meaning producers had so much oil on hand they were willing to pay for people to take it off their hands. Even now, oil storage in Asia is so full they are cancelling orders for crude from the US where last year this time the US had record shipments of oil to China especially and also to India. US producers cannot lower costs enough to put Russia out of business. It's a fantasy to think otherwise.

I'm just interested when sanctions against some persons become sanctions against all Russians. I see that the process of dehumanization of the people who tolerate "vile Putin" already started.

P.S. I miss the old Japan Today forum when moderators weren't part of discussion.

There we go. Re-establashing the profitable dependence on Communist China, while again warmongering against Russia and meddling in the Middle East.

The swamp is truly back.

The only thing missing is that there were no Syrian White Helmets taking videos and photos of the poisoning.

He was convicted of a crime and got off with a suspended sentence, broke probation terms numerous times.

according to conspiracy theories he is financed by western security services.

he’s a self admitting far right racist.

Love the guy!

Yeah, it is really confusing for some to know who to cheer for in this situation Russia or racist Navlny. Luckily, for me, I have no interest in either. Let him waste away from a toxic cocktail and take Russia down with him in the process.

Soon Biden will be giving a new conference with Putin where he will throw the US intelligence agencies under the bus and tell the world Putin said he didn't do it and Biden really, really believes him.

(It's hard to believe that was the "new normal" with the GOP in charge).

Wow, hello to St. Petersburg. Such argument, in the same order is just circulating all around the "independent and alternative media". Maybe it's time to change the phrasing a bit, isnt it? Or maybe change the narrative a bit.

So this guy is poisoned with one of the most deadliest nerve agents in the world but makes a full recovery and looks like he has never been sick a day in his life. You would think with a nerve agent that powerful, there would be some visible effects from the poisoning.

Several years ago a father and daughter were poisoned with the same nerve agent but they also made miraculous recoveries. Looks like Russia should outsource their dissident killings to Saudi Arabia. The Saudis never fail and they also never get punished.

Russia is a gasoline stand run by a crime family masquerading as a country.

Treat them as such and cut off their access to customers by undercutting them on price.

Also, let’s cut off their access to the SWIFT banking system and freeze the assess of Vlad and his cronies.

Russia only understands resolve. Let’s show them some.

Biden sanctions Russians doing bad things...

Trump would have have invited them for golf at Bedminster...

@WolfPack

A symbolic slap on the wrist. Biden is all bark and no bite.

It is a lot more than Putin's fanboy trump would have ever done. He defended Putin after Russia cyberattacked the US!

After Biden's Saudi debacle the world is only yawning reading this.

The USA is sadly losing it's global moral authority by her own design.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

As the "sanctions" against the Saudis show, Biden's bite is toothless. MBS and Putin need not fear Biden's BS. It'll now be up to other world powers like the EU and Germany, a country that knows all about crimes against humanity, to find ways of "making them squawk".

You think America is a war mongering country? Think again. It's Russia and China.

damn straight! These 2 countries are the main threat to world peace

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

Putin. KGB. America needs to give him a kick in the A%! for sure. He is still at war with the west and as all you historians know, Russia was the cause of WW1 and WW2. You think America is a war mongering country? Think again. It's Russia and China. Agent attacks on citizens and during is/was common practice for Russia.

I agree. I think he should have taken sterner measures, met with Putin in person (an secretly), then exchanged "love letters" with Putin later. That method is tried and tested, right?

What do you think should be done?

I certainly hope that trump and his entourage have had their security clearances pulled.

It would be so easy for any of them to give Putin or their intelligence services info in exchange for money, as punishment to the Biden administration.

Russia is now being held responsible by President Biden. Thank you President Biden.

They are sending him to a “killer prison”. They can’t kill him in the full glare of publicity. But who knows what might happen there. Another prisoner kills him maybe? In the meantime a bit more window dressing from the US government. These sanctions are pretty meaningless by now.
