Horrific war crime.

Excused by Nixon who said regarding the American people, ""Most people don't give a sh*t whether he killed them or not."

Very belated apology - empty after all of those years.

No one should ever shed a tear for Calley.

"Destroying a village to save it"... a quote attributed to Associated Press journalist Peter Arnett, summed up many of the horrors of the Vietnam Conflict.

Despite being told that My Lai was a hotbed of communist National Liberation Front guerrillas, U.S. forces met no serious armed resistance and found very few weapons, according to the Army Historical Foundation. Still they killed almost everyone there, and raped women and girls.

A truly evil "man" who would - rightly - have faced execution if the victors had gotten hold of him.

A 24 year old. Leading a platoon to rape and kill little children, women and men. If there is a hell, that's where Calley is now.

I hope he rots in hell

Nixon shouldn't have let him out on house-arrest. Served three days in jail for a life sentence. One of the reasons why I've always hated Nixon among other things.

Actual war crimes and not staged ones.

Yes, just like the actual war crimes in Bucha and hundreds of other towns.

Good riddance..

US being US..

Salute and glory to the brave people of Vietnam, who defeat and expelled the cruel genocidal invader in 1973..

why was that a war crime, but 7,662,000 tons of explosives (with concomitant deaths and maimings) not?

Same reason hiding troops among a civilian population was not prosecuted as a war crime.

And on cue, Taiwan shows up, with a lame attempt at deflection.

He/she will never admit to any war crimes by the USA and will try everything to change the subject.

A very evil and sick tragic killing of women and children. Should never be forgotten.
