I thought that Trump was ignoring the pandemic?

Now the administration is getting a vaccine ready for November-which is it?

He is going to repeat the lie that a vaccine is on the way enough times that stupid people are going to believe it. And the press has been also spreading that lie. THERE IS STILL NO PROVEN VACCINE PEOPLE!!! And if one of these experimental vaccines is proven to work at all tomorrow, its going to take months to then determine its actually safe. If they don't, it will most likely kill more people than Covid 19!

Trump is totally lying for re-election.

10 ( +13 / -3 )

Trump would push the use of an unproven vaccine if he thought it would benefit him politically.

He is willing to risk lives to save himself, and is undermining public trust in public health institutions like the FDA, NIH AND CDC.

a potential Covid-19 vaccine by Nov 1 -- two days before the presidential election.

Potential? The snake oil salesmale employing another tactic typical of slimy politicians. Say, wasn't Trump NOT supposed to be a politician? How's Trump U doing these days.

He's ignoring the pandemic.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

So is disinfectant now plan B?

5 ( +8 / -3 )

He will probably claim he developed it personally.  And then deny ever saying so when people start dying from an untested snake oil vaccine.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

By the way, where was that major healthcare bill Trump said would be signed by now? He said in mid-July it would be done in four weeks. What happened? Can we get some Trump whisperers in here?

2 ( +5 / -3 )

After years of observing Trump's shenanigans, it's impossible to shake the cynicism that tells us this promised pre-election vaccine is Trump's last, desperate "Hail Mary", or perhaps more fitting for a golfer, his "hole in one" after four years of daily "chokers" as Potus.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

So I wonder how advance preparation to get a vaccine distributed immediately after it is available is a bad thing?

Oh, Trump did it. never mind. But if he didnt do it, liberals would be whining too.

"he isnt preparing to distribute the vaccine!" or "he is preparing to distribute the vaccine!". Both somehow are no good.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

There isn't yet a vaccine to distribute. This is all theatre.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Dont worry, Joe is on the job.

"And so what I've done is I've met with via via what I did this morning with the medical experts." -Joe Biden.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

which has nothing to do with advance planning for when there is one ready. Does he need to wait until its ready to be distributed to start planning to distribute it?

How can you determine that a future event is already a lie?

It’s not a bad thing. Constantly lying about things such as when a vaccine may be ready is a bad thing.

Vaccines will NOT be 100% effective against this virus. It has spread all around the world now and even if a country comes up with a vaccine 90% effective, that means millions of people (most likely the elderly and those with underlying conditions) will probably remain valnurable to the virus. The biggest challange here is that no medicine can alter already very valnurable immune systems and bring them up on a similar level with a teenager's healthy, dynamic immune system. When virus is specifically attacking at those with underlying conditions and/or certain age, a vaccine that doesn't address the needs of such specific groups will be waste of time unless the aim is letting the old forest burn and saving the remaining.

Even if a vaccine works 99% effectively and on everyone, another challange of course is how quickly such a vaccine can be distributed around the world. Trump has already said "America First" and sod the WHO. So whatever the vaccine the US produces (with its allies) will NOT benefit the rest of the world in any foreseeable future. If this happens, then countries like Brasil, India, China, Turkey, SA, Mexico etc should produce generic version of the vaccine in a co-ordinated and timely fashion.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

How can you determine that a future event is already a lie?

how do you declare a vaccine should be ready by a certain date when the medical experts state that it wont be ready by that date, if people are so sure that the vaccine will be ready tested and safe by Nov 1 then they can line up and get their families immunised first.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Oh have they said that?

which ones?

and every medical expert in existence is in agreement that this 100% will not happen?

All Dems and their enablers are doing is casting doubt on vaccines which will cause some people to not take it and die instead of being saved. Just because you picked a crappy candidate but still feel entitled to win the election anyway.

when the medical experts state that it wont be ready by that date,

90% would be more than enough herd immunity.

As all the anti-Tumpers have decided, the vaccine is not ready and will not be 100% effective.

The Dems and their minions will cast doubt on the vaccine (as long asTrump is in office) to cause delay of the distribution.

It will be suddenly be available after Biden is elected and in office.

Everybody will be cured.

Dems will claim credit.

As all the anti-Tumpers have decided, the vaccine is not ready and will not be 100% effective.

It's not a "decision", it's observable reality.

The Dems and their minions will cast doubt on the vaccine (as long asTrump is in office) to cause delay of the distribution.

If Trump presents an effective vaccine which has been thoroughly tested to the satisfaction of the CDC and other medical organisations, then I will support that vaccine and its distribution.

But such a vaccine does not exist.

It will be suddenly be available after Biden is elected and in office.

I doubt this.

Everybody will be cured.

Oh, you don't know what vaccines are or how they work.

Dems will claim credit.

Probably, yeah.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

does it exist on November 1st? cant know, cause Nov 1 isnt here yet. Plus what he is saying is be "prepared" to distribute a vaccine, in the hope it exists. If it doesnt, its still good to be prepared by then.

Nah, you will only accept the Fauci or Bill Gates vaccine regardless of what the CDC says. thats why you added "and other medical organisations" so that you can back out at any time.

If Trump presents an effective vaccine which has been thoroughly tested to the satisfaction of the CDC and other medical organisations, then I will support that vaccine and its distribution.

But such a vaccine does not exist.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

How can any CDC Director be taken seriously when he doesn't understand basic facemask hygeine..

3 ( +3 / -0 )

The miracle vaccine, created in record time to save thousands of lives. it will become "so what. meh" from liberals who will scurry on to their next complaint.

Oh, so now there is a pandemic, and it is deadly. Hm. Could you try and stay on message?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Of course. why else would we even need a vaccine?

its not especially deadly as the infection rate is like 0.02% of the population and 95% of those people who get it recover, but cant hurt to have a vaccine. Around 750 college students tested positive recently in Georgia and not a single one was even hospitalized.

But still- a vaccine would allow us to go back to work and have football and eat indoors and make the Dems open things back up again. so would be nice to have to eliminate all the Dems excuses. Our saviors Bill Gates and Fauci are handing that vaccine, right?

Oh, so now there is a pandemic, and it is deadly.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

no, I fully believe you

Odd, you declined to say so at an earlier opportunity. I wonder why? Hrm.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

excuses for not allowing us to eat food indoors, as one example. excuses for why people cant vote in person but 80 year old Nancy is ok to get her hair done and near 90 year old RBG can officiate a wedding, maskless.

Dem politicians are insistent that hundreds of normal activities cannot happen "until there is a vaccine". All those politicians cant be voted out of office fast enough. so only other choice is create a vaccine. For something that 0.02% of people have died from, with 94% of that number because they had coronavirus PLUS 2.6 other medical issues.

I would prefer we just go back outside, but if we have to make a vaccine first to get Dems to be quiet and finish the politicization of this virus, then lets get to it.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

states CAN prepare to distribute a vaccine by 1 November, and they WILL prepare, as was ordered.

Nothing was said that someone cannot or will not do. There was no mention of a vaccine being available on that day, thats just some amateur goal post moving.

If someone promises you something you know they cannot or will not do, you can be sure they are lying to you.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

excuses for not allowing us to eat food indoors, as one example.

Why do you think restrictions on restaurants are in place? Do you think that Democratic politicians have been awaiting a pandemic for decades because they want to use it as an excuse to dine al-fresco?

excuses for why people cant vote in person but 80 year old Nancy is ok to get her hair done and near 90 year old RBG can officiate a wedding, maskless.

It's not an excuse: it's safer to vote by mail in the current climate. I agree that it is bad that Pelosi and Ginsberg did what they did, as it undermines confidence in current protocols. With Ginsberg's health and her position, I would say she was acting extremely recklessly.

Dem politicians are insistent that hundreds of normal activities cannot happen "until there is a vaccine". All those politicians cant be voted out of office fast enough. so only other choice is create a vaccine.

Well, I think a vaccine will come after the upcoming election, so voting them out is your best bet to further endanger American lives.

For something that 0.02% of people have died from, with 94% of that number because they had coronavirus PLUS 2.6 other medical issues.

3% of people infected have died from it. Most Americans have "other medical issues".

You said that, though.

So I wonder how advance preparation to get a vaccine distributed immediately after it is available is a bad thing?

Hmm.... a "vaccine" ready to be used a couple days before election day. Intriguing timing.... lol
