Irresponsible warmongering, motivated by keeping the corrupt Ukrainian regime in control of Europes gas supply, and keep the giant military contracts flowing. The US should not get away with this, and Nato should be disolved, just like the Warsaw Pact was. All this does is push Russia into ever closer cooperation with CCP China, which is exactly what we should NOT want.
Alfie Noakes
Insane fearmongering from the US.
UK Foreign Minister Liz Truss had a meeting with her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow the other day.
Lavrov said to Truss, "You do recognize Russia’s sovereignty over the Rostov and Voronezh regions, don’t you?”
“The UK will never recognize Russia’s sovereignty over these regions,” the moron Truss said after a short pause.
She got Rostov and Voronezh confused with Lugansk and Donetsk in eastern Ukraine. Lavrov said she was "unprepared" for the meeting, diplomat-speak for "she doesn't know wtf she's talking about."
God help us all if Truss is the best we've got.

That’s not our cup of tea and most of us here don’t even sit near that global chessboard. Look, the two, now three, global powers have their terrain, their near influence or occupation zones and also a few little figures placed near the other one’s doors, and all that based on biggest conventional and nuclear military power compared to all other countries on the globe. They won’t change the balance so very much anyway, and even if they do, we all can’t do anything against it. Just care about your other daily problem loads, that’s surely more than enough to do and makes more sense. What the big three do is not your shoe size and very far from your reach.

Actually, the balance is changing, currently in favour of CCP China, aided by bad US policy. It is true that complaining here does not change anything, but at least we can vent some frustration.

It seems wise to prepare to leave if necessary but I can understand why Ukraine doesn’t like the optics.

the Biden administration is going to get this started one way or the other.
with or without the participation of the actual participants.

Biden and his CIA masters want total chaos so they can finally take total control of the US and crush any democratic opposition. They use fear. They started with fear of Trump to get people to vote for a doddering old man who was unelectable even when his brain still functioned because of his well-known incompetence and corruption. Then it was fear of Covid. Now fear of Russia. I still find it hard to believe that Americans are so easy to manipulate. There is really no telling what Americans will support next. Gulags? "Limited" nuclear war?

It's bizarre to see America wagering its last shred of credibility on this. The Russian invasion plan will likely turn out to be as real as Saddam's WMDs and the Afghan National Army.

Just look at all the so-called conservatives jump all over Biden and side with Putin...just like their hero Tucker...
Biden makes a prudent decision regarding our Embassy personnel and they quickly criticize it...
How soon they forget their constant braying about "Benghazi"....
Just brazen, obvious hypocrisy...which is an everyday thing in MAGA-world....just look at the Top Secret docs stored in a closet at Mar-A-Lago and bags of official docs burned....
I guess they forgot "Lock Her Up" too...

When I read this post I felt like each sentence came from a fortune cookie

I dont know who this Tucker guy is you obsess about, but.... do you support Bidens warmongering?
lincolnman
Really? May want to check your archive....
The question is, why are you spouting Kremlin talking points? Perhaps you should re-read the first sentence of the article...
Blacklabel
“saying someone is "repeating Kremlin talking points" is by itself a lazy way to engage an argument.
Like imagine you say "ukraine should be a free and sovereign state" and your opponent says "oh that's a White House talking point" are you going to be like oh you got me”?
Alex
Apparently it was not only Ukraine that was impacted, southern Russia and Kazakhstan too. Look it up on wiki, pretty well investigated.

The only possible invasion is that incited by US & UK & carried out by Ukrainian army against Russian-speaking Donbass region. Russia won't stand idly by & will teach the Kiev junta & its overseas patron a lesson probably they will remember for many years to come. US & UK are driving the world towards a war that might wipe out everything living on earth by converting it into a huge pile of radioactive rubbles.

Crisis Crossroads: Ukraine
https://www.csis.org/programs/crisis-crossroads-ukraine
it is a delusion to pretend that the size of Russian military forces will not cross into Ukraine.
1980, there were 350,000 US troops stationed in Europe. Today less that 90,000.
It is time for all allies, US, UK, EU, 27, NATO to accept the fact the Russian Government will not negotiate in good faith.
President Putin cannot be trusted to respect any treaty or agreement. It just not in his nature.

It's curious that the far-right posters here deny their adoration of Putin...it's absolutely clear by their posts one can see with their own eyes...
But then again, they don't want us to believe our eyes seeing all the violence committed by their far-right cohorts on Jan 6th either - they claim that was "legitimate political discourse"....
When Putin fires his short range ballistic missiles into Kyiv and his troops storm across the border shooting everything in sight, they'll try to convince us that's just Putin's "discourse" also....
Or maybe they'll just call them Russian "tourists"...
Peter14
Yes the Ukraine will invade it's own territory. How horrifying. Next Russia will invade Moscow.
Blacklabel
Nothing to do with Biden instigating a conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
albaleo
It is horrifying. Ukraine has been attacking its Donbas region for many years. Most accounts say around 14,000 have been killed, including over 3,000 civilians.
