U.S. works to 'seize and freeze' wealth of Russian oligarchs

If most of us had just a sliver of what one of these oligarchs had, we’d be set for life and then some. So it’s difficult to imagine one of them crying and throwing a temper tantrum over the loss of a yacht.

yeah the USA has this thing about seizing things for their own benefit when others do "bad" things to the world.

But no one returns the favor when the USA does bad things to the world.

If things dont belong directly to Putin or even Saddam, they should not be seized.. thats what I disagree with, unlawfully taking things because a person is "Russian" or "Iraqi" or "American".

Got it. I actually think it is countries other than the US who are seizing these things - yachts and luxury residences mostly, for now. Russia will be returning the favor, no doubt, and already are with leased aircraft and capital assets of western companies inside Russia.

I think we may have to agree to disagree on your last paragraph. These aren't your normal Russian citizens who are having these "safe deposit boxes" seized, but rather the oligarchs who are apparatuses of the state.
