well ok then, good luck with passing laws that restrict freedoms of choice and movement.

I agree. Anyone should be able to come the US that wants to. No passport required.

One of the big reasons some of those who haven't got vaccinated is they can't afford it. The vaccine is free, but the time isn't for the part timers scraping by with the hours they can cobble together from many 'casual' jobs, and the jig sector.

And a lot of Americans don't have a 'local doctor they trust' they have the doctor their health insurance company dictates.

being forced to inject something of unknown composition into your body.

Ask your doctor or do some research if you don't know what a vaccine is made of. That information is pretty readily available. It's even written on the vaccine themselves.

Also gotta love the fact that you seem to support discriminatory behaviors and denial of services as long as its against the "right" people.

Oh I absolutely think people with guns shouldn't be allowed on planes. It's a matter of public safety. Vaccine are exactly the same thing.

I'm glad to hear that you are pro-choice. Most Republicans aren't.

and movement.

Thats doesnt go over well in the USA.

Laws restricting movement abroad in the US already exist. You have the option not to buy a passport, that's your right. But you will be unable to travel abroad.

Laws that allow businesses to restrict access also exist. You have the right not to wear a shirt, or shoes, but you may find you will not receive service.

Until then, there are no consequences, just a bunch of peer pressure and internet attacks against those who do not wish to be vaccinated for personal, medical or religious reasons.

"Personal" reasons, such as, "I read on Qanonwhackjobs.com that the vaccine turns your brain into a moose".

Those laws and rules actually already exist. There is absolutely no difference between "no shoes, no shirt, no service" and "no vaccination, no service". Airline companie will not let you board a plane with a gun, and they won't you let board a plane without being vaccinated. Same thing. So... Enjoy your future very boring life.

But you must also accept the consequences.

so I cant travel at all or enter certain places if I refuse vaccination?

Yeah.

so much for freedom, huh?

You are free not to get the vaccine. You must also live with the consequences.

thats kind of the opposite of being left alone to make my own choices when I am excluded when I dont make the government mandated "right" choice.

No, you are allowed to make your choices. But you must also accept the consequences.

Alone at home while vaccinated people are travelling overseas, for instance. But hey, at least you stuck to your principles, right?

Spoiler. There is a new variant, not the South Africa one, but the African one that is just starting to spread.

Good luck.

Of course it’s turned into a slog given all the Trump “conservative” anti-vaxxers.

Its good to hear that those saying that non-whites are taking the brunt of the covid crisis are wrong.

Look, if these idiots don't want to get vaccinated, then let them catch Covid. If you've been smart enough to get vaccinated then you won't (most likely) catch it. Let the dumb Darwinians' population dwindle.

Then you can just leave those people alone now who choose not to be vaccinated, right?

They are being left alone.

good, this is great news!

Then you can just leave those people alone now who choose not to be vaccinated, right?

No matter how many people refuse to be vaccinated, eventually, we will hit herd immunity.

In Texas, the rolling average of newly confirmed infections has climbed from about 1,000 per day on May 31 to nearly 2,000 this week.

Texan posters here have made it clear: they hate shots that save lives. They love shots that end them. The GOP is a death cult.

How is this even possible? We already know how to protect ourselves

This is one of the reasons why:

Some people's attitude is that “if a vaccine were to fall out of the sky and hit me in the arm, I’ll get it. But I’m not going to interrupt my busy daily life to to to make that effort and go in and get a vaccination," she said.

That's why there's a need to incentivize vaccination, many people don't think their lives are incentive enough

To increase vaccinations, several states are working to break up large shipments of vaccine into smaller lots, which can then be distributed to doctors' offices. Health officials see primary care physicians as key to easing people's concerns.

“People want to hear it from their doctor, their medical providers, people that they know and trust,” Norman said.

This should have been the primary means of vaccination in Japan

Scientists came up with the solution to defeat the virus, the covid vaccine. Unfortunately they could not develop a vaccine for stupidity yet...

How is this even possible? We already know how to protect ourselves.

Because too many people refuse to do the things necessary to prevent transmission. Even at the height of the pandemic people in my town refused to wear masks inside stores. We had a big party down the street with nobody wearing masks. The gyms and some restaurants stayed open in defiance of the social distancing rules. People think thumbing their noses at authority is their right, consequences be darned. Pastors openly defied the law and encouraged their parishioners not to use masks or practice social distancing. The gubment has "no right" dad gummit!' Adult self restraint is not one of America's strong points. I am fully vaccinated but still wear a mask inside stores or gas stations. Even with the vaccine there is a small chance of becoming infected. I had it once already and never want to suffer like that again. But for too many the danger isn't real.

Greater numbers of anti-vaxxers than expected. Many are male white republicans

And some post nonsense right here on JT claiming the refusal of stubborn science deniers to be vaccinated even as the vaccine is readily available for all is somehow the fault of the current President. Vaccines go to waste because people refuse to take them but hey, it's all Joe Biden's fault.

hospitalizations in parts of Missouri are surging and cases are rising sharply in Texas
