I know a guy that claims to be vegan but eats food with meat when there is no other option. Of course, he pushes the meat aside.
Some people don’t understand that words have meanings.

Mandated? Banned? Not surprising those pushing far right authoritarianism see existence in such extremely limited ways.

Personally I think veganism is a type of disorder. Nothing wrong with it at all if practiced as one's own belief. But not something to be pushed on society. If humans had no canine teeth and multiple stomachs like unglulates, I would change my mind.

Veganism isn't very healthy. I know one and she's a bone bag, skin stretched on her hands and neck, eyes bugged out. Our bodies needs proteins for nutrients and you can't get it all from nuts alone.
It should never be pushed on anyone, that's abuse. Our bodies have evolved so that we need plant and animal foods. And if you're going to slay animals (or plants) then make all the industrial uses you can from it.
OTOH while I'm not against hunting, I DO oppose hunting just to be doing it. That's wasteful and stupid. Kill it, grill it.

The American Nutritionist Bernard Jensen warned against extreme Vegetarianism decades before the word vegan was invented - he pointed out the fact the human body cannot get what it needs nutritionally from plants alone.

Absolutely it is a a religious belief. Have they added "human caused climate change" yet? That needs to be protected too.

'Normal' eating isn't very healthy. I know one and he's an obese lard bag, constantly wheezing cos of the extra load on his heart and kidneys, eyes bugged out from the strain of trying to pass hard-as-rock constipated poos. And his cholesterol is off the scale.
Meat-eating should never be pushed on anyone, that's abuse.

I understand the League Against Cruel Sports didn't contest the "philosophical belief" ruling as they consider it irrelevant to the man's dismissal. Apparently he was fired for disclosing information about the League's pension fund investments. (There were investments in companies that conduct animal testing.)
