Maduro will win, Capriles will lose. Again. Just like Hugo was elected and then reelected 3 times, just like the popular will defeated the 2002 coup attempt and turned back the attempted recall. El Commandante picked some ugly friends on the international scene, but he brought dignity and confidence to the lower and middle classes. Chavez wiped out illiteracy and opened universities. Chavez slashed poverty. Maduro has a lot to live up to. Okay, Milton Friedman lovers, flame away!

He did, but then again, he was a lightning rod, a difficult and pompous person for many leaders to work with. Now that he's gone, it is probably a great thing for Valenzuela and the people to have a changing of the guard and to have better stability and a person that respects FREE speech and respect real democracy.

I found this article quite interesting.
