The video is just beyond weird. Paul smiling, in his undies, not panicking, he’s holding the hammer and then DePape yanks it away from Paul and smacks him upside the head. Now if anything more questions are arising. What the heck is going on here?

Regardless of the whataboutism posted by Trump supporters, it was a very violent attack against a private citizen in their private home. Pelosi suffered serious injury and is recovering physically at least but he could have been killed.

In one of his recent posts about Donald Trump, DePape asserted, "Trump you NEEEEEEEED to make Tulsi your VP in 2024."  

Other local reports identify DePape as a former nudism activist. The San Francisco Chronicle reports DePape was tapped to be the best man in a 2013 wedding of famed nudist activist Gypsy Taub at San Francisco City Hall.

Based on the transcript of the phone conversation Mr. Pelosi had with 911 it seemed he was taking great pains not to provoke this guy who wanted to kill his wife. He was using measured words trying to keep the situation calm until police arrived. It was only after the police arrived and told the guy to put the hammer down that he attacked Mr. Pelosi with the hammer. You have to read a transcript of the 9-11 call, how Mr. Pelosi was answering the operators questions while the attacker was shouting he was a friend before you view the video to get the full context.

Listen to the 9-11 recording. He was trying to talk this guy down. You can see that when he tried to escape from his grasp the dude easily overpowered Mr. Pelosi. I'm not quite as old as he is but age makes you stiff, sore and slow moving. Just how it is. In my younger days, yeah, I'd brawl. No more. I put myself flat on my back for days just trying to chase after one of our dogs who was making a beeline for an open door.

The video is being released now because the authorities finally got around to scrubbing out the pound of cocaine sitting in Pelosi's bowl.
