This is concerning. It is becoming obvious that the Delta strain and (it's) variants are overwhelming countries that had the disease under some reasonable control.
What is the next phase of the virus? I have read one expert on this virus expressing concern that further variants could be more lethal - while being even more actively transmitted. And there is growing concern that current vaccines will not be effective enough.
We should thank China for being so originally concerned about the spread of the disease in their country - that they left international airports open for almost a month.

Madness. They are so stupid. They panic and forget to use their heads so that the only solution they come up with is lockdowns.

"Cases" means nothing, as "cases" simply reflect positive results of the PCR test. This number can be cranked up and down at will bei either increasing/decreasing the number of test or increasing/decreasing the number of PCR cycles.
Strangely, that is never pointed out in these articles.
So is there an actual lack of hospital beds? The article says nothing about that.

Total lock down must be done in the world.

Agreed completely. And that has to be done for 71 days plus standard deviation(s), because that’s the time span those viruses can survive in vivo. With quasi military efforts that has to be implemented, surveilled and the main life lines to be kept working, food, power, water, hospitals and such. If it is done time shifted with borders closed, th3 worldwide economies aren’t even so much affected as it is always used as an argument against zero or no covid strategy. It has to be done and it easily can be done.

Do you know of any countries that crank these things up and down? If the testing pattern is consistent, then the number cases is significant. (Note that the number of PCR cycles is a limit, not a constant. I.e. a positive result after a low number of cycles indicates a high level of infection in the sample; a positive result after a high number of cycles indicates a lower level of infection in the sample.)

But yet Japan relaxes entry quarantine requirements from Vietnam a week ago...

Absolutely, it's everyone's problem. Everyone's bag.
As rotten as the Communist regime of Vietnam is, they are taking the best measures to fight this. All governments need to. Look at the badly mishandled case of the US last year as a reference, it's disgraceful.
And with PM Suga kowtowing to the demands of the greedy IOC, it's soon going to be Japan's turn to suffer big time. Suga is making Japan look stupid by being such a yes-man to greed.

The vaccines needed to be invented (done), then they needed to be manufactured, distributed, and administered. The means to fix their problem exists, if only it can be used.
There was a time when we were at war. That time has passed. I wish only good things for them now.

CoVid-19 is an enemy of all mankind. It knows no boundaries. This is a 'war' we all are waging and we must win and overcome it together.

It was 1973 when foreign troops (i.e. US troops) left Vietnam.

The US wisely left a situation started by the French.

Ground troops only. The air and sea war continued until 1975. Many Vietnam vets I know will testify to that. And the war wasn't just in Vietnam - it was in Laos, Cambodia and eastern Thailand. The last ground battles were fought by US Marines on Koh Tang, Cambodia and there were airstrikes on Cambodian cities in May 1975. That was the end of it all.
