But they know how popular he is not just with his base, but a growing number of independents.

Nearly 90% of Big Money investors approve of the Federal Reserve’s moves to combat the coronavirus crisis’s impact on financial markets, and a near-equal percentage give thumbs up to public health officials’ response to the outbreak. President Donald Trump, in contrast, gets a vote of confidence for his handling of the health crisis from just 48% of poll respondents, while only 45% express confidence in the response of Congress.
Oh, we will be.

But you explicitly said he did, though: "by the person the apology was given to, Charlamagne the God."
Why would you say that if you knew it wasn't true?
Except Charlamagne wasn't responding to any apologies, he was explaining to the CNN anchor what his takeaway from the whole conversation was: https://twitter.com/KFILE/status/1263992047989645317
When you actually listen to it, his statements don't contain any rejection of any apology at all.
So, again, you're dealing in half-truths and context manipulation. (Because you just read a New York Post article and assumed it was actually serious news, I imagine)
Now, to get back a little closer to the topic, will Biden's comments influence his popularity with black voters in the coming election? He was at 83% with them a few days ago. I seriously doubt what he said will change much of that, even if the right wing media machine does everything it can to do so. After all it's not like he called mexicans "rapists" or accused a black elected statesman of not being born in America.

Here are five direct quotes from the article - why don't you get back on topic and reply to them? If you can...
*GOP candidates are burdened by President Donald Trump’s lingering unpopularity with suburban voters, his slow and erratic handling of the pandemic and an economy with only the faintest heartbeat. They face a potentially crippling fundraising disadvantage against pivotal Democratic incumbents.*
*Coping with those disadvantages is all the more difficult for GOP congressional candidates in the era of *Trump, who overshadows messaging by down-ballot contenders.
*“For many voters, the 2020 election will be a referendum on the president. *That’s the bad news,” said former Rep. Charlie Dent, R-Pa.
*All 53 remaining House Democrats in seats the GOP targeted last year, mostly from Trump-won districts and freshmen, have outraised their Republican challengers. In all but 10 of those races, the Democrat had at least a 2-1 advantage.*
*“For Republican challengers who don't have high name ID, that kind of financial disadvantage is almost insurmountable,” said former Rep. Carlos Curbelo, R-Fla., who like Dent clashed with Trump.*
We'll be waiting...

Half of the country hated Bush during his second term reelection bid, but he still won.
For Trump to be in serious hot water he would need to be under 30%, then I wouldn’t quibble, he’s nowhere near that and he still holding steadily. That’s a very good sign.
For China, very bad and for the governors equally as bad if they don’t open up the country, but I think they will, because they know for one thing that the president wants the country to open in the liberal Democrats don’t, that goes against them.
Busby
Oh, yea, 60% of the country hates him - that's a great way to go into an election...
Imagine what it will be when the death toll goes over 150K...
Your words in black and white...
Me: So why hasn't he done something about ti - with his "total authority"?
You: He doesn’t, the people did though.
Wanna translate that?
I said you disagree with him - do you?

Either way, doubt after that racist comment Biden can count on the Black community as much anymore.

Biden Apologizes for Saying Black Voters ‘Ain’t Black’ if They’re Considering Trump
JUST IN: Joe Biden apologizes for 'You Ain't Black' comments
Its all over the place, many articles.
As I said, Joe didnt even have the nerve to apologize directly to Charlamagne. He had his spokeswoman do it, who happens to be a black woman. He thought the blowback would be less if she did than if he did it himself. Charlemagne's response to Bidens indirect apology indicates it was not accepted, as he said Biden is part of the racial problems we have now.
The reason this is important is that you can deflect all you want, but the comments are out there in public, are really bad racial comments and will impact the black vote in the election.
bass4funk
No, I don’t want to argue, just state the fact that going into an election if an incumbent has over 40% approval, it’s more difficult to unseat that person.
Liberals could learn something.
He can do that, the polls got it so wrong last time and about Mueller, Stormy, Comey, Cohen, impeachment....
Jsapc
I hope that's not some sort of derogatory term?
But you weren't crystal clear at all.
You said Biden apologized to Charlamagne, and then Charlamagne rejected his apology. And none of that happened. Biden didn't apologize to Charlamagne, and Charlamagne didn't reject any apologies, since there were none to be rejected. I simply read what you said, checked it, and found out it was (as is often the case), a falsehood or a half-truth. So it's a little astonishing to see you accuse other people of twisting everything around.
Busby
Uh-huh...Biden's name is not mentioned in the title or article - you're off-topic - again...
So tell us specifically why all the reasons in the article that say Repubs are going be tossed out in Nov are wrong....
Busby
Hmmmmm....I guess you want to argue again that 32% is more than half....

Downballot voting is relevant to the topic.
When the national candidate (Biden) is weak or there is voting apathy, the House, Senate and local races are also affected.
Most times voters dont know anything about the actual down ballot candidates, they just pick them because they have a (D) or (R) next to their name. Dems dont turn out for Biden, all the Trump voters will select all the (R) people all the way down the ballot and we have a Republican House win.
bass4funk
Then the people wouldn’t protest, but if you make that argument, then you can equally make the argument that Trump is on sound ground since he’s numbers haven’t really changed since early this, great for an incumbent.
He doesn’t, the people did though.
No, just many opinions out there.
From the people that rag on Trump 24/7....too funny.
Busby
I read the entire article and didn't see Biden's name mentioned once - maybe you should focus on the topic - all the reasons the Repubs are going to be tossed out in record numbers this Nov....
lincolnman
The ones that have over 80% support ratings? Sure....
So why hasn't he done something about ti - with his "total authority"?
Wow, a Trump supporter dissing Fox News - that's when you know things are melting down in Trump-world....
Blacklabel
his blackspokeswoman did, on his behalf.
I know you guys like to twist everything all around, so I had to be crystal clear on this.
Did Biden directly apologize to Charlamagne? no. Biden actually tried to cover up his comments when he spoke to the Black Chamber of Commerce later in the day.
Did his spokeswoman apologize at his direction, yes.
Did Charlamagne respond the next day on CNN? Yes
Was his response positive for Biden? not at all. Biden is part of the institututional racism problem.
Good luck trying to twist that.
bass4funk
That has nothing to do where I was born or raised. Relax please.
Who knows?
bass4funk
That would be the governors undoing..
And yet, the governors said, no, you don’t and these crazy people decided to punish people for wanting to make a living, wow!
They also predicted Hillary would win.

So why did you just say he did, then?
Except his answer doesn't have anything to do with any apologies. He was reacting to the interview as a whole. You should look for the context of your quotes instead of simply copy pasting them from the NY Post's website. Or did you actually know this and are now simply trying to frame the whole thing another way on purpose?
Blacklabel
so the end result is that Charlamagne expects Biden to pick a black female VP because of Bidens comments.
Biden is trapped now, because if he doesnt, he loses the critical black vote to Trump (or the black vote stays home, which is same result).
This along with the recent California election when a Republican won a seat that was 8 points Democrat 2 years ago and 6 points for Hillary in 2016. The Dem election problems are just beginning.
Blacklabel
He didnt. he had his black spokeswoman release a statement saying his comments were "in jest" through Twitter and then make the liberal media rounds to attack Trump somehow.
Charlamagne isnt buying it. He responded: "The whole system needs to be dismantled and rebuilt. and he (Biden) has been a very intricate part of that system"
“He really was one of the people on the front lines when it came to the war on drugs, and mass incarceration. If he wants to be president, he needs to fix that,”
“My overall takeaway from the conversation is that I heard him talk about things he did for black people back in the day but what have you done for me lately is my motto. I see black communities catching hell no matter who is in the White House,” he said.
lincolnman

He did? When did he apologize to Charlamagne exactly? Because he didn't do it during the show and I don't believe they've publicly spoken since.
Blacklabel
the excuse will be voter suppression.
but the reality is that some people are so turned off about Biden they just wont vote at all. Thats not voter suppression, thats voter apathy about your candidate. Black voters dont even need to vote for Trump. Just dont vote for Biden and all the local Dems and its a landslide.
Bidens comments from the basement are causing this apathy. People who dont want to vote for Trump are realizing they dont want to vote for Biden either. So just stay home. Its definitely going to get worse once he must come out of the controlled environment of the basement.
Blacklabel
by the person the apology was given to, Charlamagne the God. He didnt readily accept it and cover the whole thing up like other Dems do.
That comment is going to hurt Biden and the down ballot candidates. Because if no one shows up to vote for Biden, also no one to check the box for all the other Dems on the ballot too.

I fail to see how this article makes a positive win out of 40 lost House seats for the republicans in 2018. Please explain what you're tryin to say.

Not at all, I’m from California, I know. None of these mega corporations will ever vote for socialist policies that will penalize them, impossible, they can publicly hate on Trump, but behind that curtain, they would never pull the lever for a Democrat.
Ah_so
Most Trump fans are, bit they'll still vote for him because they know nothing better.
Jsapc
It was?? Was there a national poll of some sort?
bass4funk
That won’t happen, especially when you realize that the Democrats have been hindering the public from working, that’s the absolute worst thing a politician can do, screw with their livelihood.
And the governors are realizing if they don’t stop this nonsense lockdown, the people will defy every law and still open up, it’s over, the governors lost, that all helps Trump.
Hmmm....46%....doesn’t look like it, also if Democrats can’t get the black vote excited, Biden is pretty much toast.

that youaintblack own goal is really going to come back to haunt the Dems. Usually the fierce apology is quickly accepted. This time it was denied. More to talk about still.

There are so many reasons why Repubs will be voted out in a landslide in Nov - in the WH, Senate and House, but two will stand out....
20 million Americans filing for unemployment - the highest since the Great Depression...
96K Americans (to date) dead in just four months,
All do to the complete incompetence and utter failure of this Repub President...
Repubs made their pact with the Devil in 2016 - when he goes down, they go down...

The democrats weren't really the "losing side" during the last election, two years ago, were they?
You have a very skewed image of Silicon Valley. In reality it is not (and never has been) a liberal enclave. On the contrary, it's a lot of very rich white men, who typically didn't really vote Clinton last time around.
bass4funk
So they should be on the losing side?
Yes, but Trump is too close to 50% and that’s not what any challenger wants going into a general.
You think for all the talk and bravado that these liberal left-wingers spout in Silicon Valley they’ll vote for someone like Biden? None of them will because they know Democrats and their policies will punish these rich elites or the job givers. When they close the curtain on Election Day, that lever will be pulled for Trump.
Failure, hardly, even the governors don’t think so, they said, he’s a man of his word and of course he can go golfing, Obama golfs and the tax payer still has to pay for that as well. I don’t like the man, so I don’t want to pay, but he has a right to go and play.

I had to double check to verify the House bill did indeed included illegal immigrants and was surprised that it did.
Why did they do this?
Because many businesses, like the meat processing plants and many others, employ illegal immigrants.

And if those candidates remain loyal to Trump, they're making their own beds.
Lots of time between now and November for anything to happen.
Knock wood Trump and his fellow so called 'elite' won't do a wag the dog. But knowing Trump and the 'elite' profit even more during wars, another invasion is probably already on the table.
Trump's shown he's a failure as a war time president as the virus deaths continue to mount and the economy continues to go farther south.
While he's back on his golf course - where the tab's once again picked up by taxpayers.
