Of the top twenty states with the highest COVID rates seventeen are run by Republicans. North Dakota rated number one in the USA has the highest COVID infection rate in the world. Solid accomplishment for the republican governor there who said for masks are not neccesary.

Maybe you wanted to say that the SF area has the highest income in the USA, yes that is sure what you wanted to say. Progressive polices lead to people becoming rich. Lets look at the poorest states in the USA. Look at that, eighteen of the bottom states based on income are run by republicans. Another coincidence? No, living in a republican state makes you poor and more likely to get sick from COVID.

Curfew to be imposed at night in San Francisco due to sudden surge of virus? That serious? Actually it would be necessary when stubborn people simply refuse to follow restriction measures accordingly.

Someday I hope discussions about a medical emergency could be restricted to medical problems and solutions.

The researchers and scientists who are working hard at trying to save our lives are probably focussing on the science of the new coronavirus and its COVID-19. 55 vaccines are being tested on humans; 87 others are being tested on animals. They didn't get this far by debating lifestyles or politics.

Politicalizing, name-calling, hyperbole, and "freedumb" speeches help no one except our own fragile (online) egos.

San Francisco is going drastic because it has to. After this Thanksgiving cases are expected to skyrocket. Don't even want to think about Christmas and New Years.

Sure, Covid19 has nothing to do with politics, the coronavirus doesn't care. But no one is going to convince me that our having a POTUS who called it a hoax, refused to wear a mask, failed to set an example as a leader of a nation should, disregarded and disputed his own medical experts, continued with mass gatherings to the point of getting hospitalized himself didn't help make matters worse for the American people.

San Francisco, like Los Angeles, is a magnet for those down on their luck across the country - warm and rich. One could probably eat better there dumpster diving than in a shelter, and tent communities are actual communes, each with their own rules. Ask a homeless person where they're from, and it likely will not be California.

Come on folks, of course COVID is political. Ebola was political, Obama used science to fight that and only one person died. 240,000 Americans have died now. And if Trump had not called the pandemic a Democratic hoax, gee is that political folks, maybe, the number of deaths would be one-tenth it is now. Look at Taiwan, NZ, SK for examples where governments did the right thing. Look to the USA to see a massive failure to respond to the pandemic by pretending it was not real. Wake up and smell the coffee here. Look at Brazil numbers for another example of where the inept insane leader there denies COVID is real even though he got sick himself, like Trump.

He may have been referrring to cases, in which the Dakotas have a (un)healthy lead, whereas NYC does indeed have the highest death rate.

Of the top 10 states with covid deaths eight are Dem states based on the last election results. NY is far and away the worst in deaths mostly because the Governor sent tens of thousands of elderly to their deaths in retirement homes. Cuomo is proud of himself and Dems are too. Facts are stubborn things.

I will give you this, of the top 50 states there are Republicans infections in each of them. Way to go Democrats!

Progressive polices lead to people becoming rich. 

Progressives policies over the past 20 to 30 years have led to extreme income inequality- so yeah- I guess you can be proud of San Francisco’s hallowed out middle class and need for the tech geniuses to create apps to track rampant homelessness and the location of human excrement on the sidewalks of the city. Congratulations to Progressives for their accomplishments.

Look at Taiwan, NZ, SK for examples where governments did the right thing.

Look at Europe- covid is every bit as bad there as in the US but let’s not talk about that. These countries are mostly socialist and have national health care systems. So we can’t measure the US against them - we must cherry pick the exceptions and blame Trump for murder. So yes, covid is political. Until of course Biden is sworn in then America will immediately be a model country and any deaths blamed on Trump.

Beautiful San Francisco has already been allowed to become a wasteland. Are all of the tent cities under curfew too? How does that work? Hand out free meth and heroine in the afternoon? Might as well ay.

That said, I do not think there is a direct line between party affiliation (or politics in general) and the disease.

San Francisco is one of the most extremely Progressive places in America. Dems said if they were in charge the virus would be under control and no one would die needlessly. So how is this happening when the powers that be mandated that the authorities would follow the science? Can it be the authorities don’t know what they are doing?

Will the mayor follow their own rule now?

Will Pelosi?
