Indonesia aside, the world reaches grim milestone of 200 million COVID cases & 4 million deaths, as Delta variant surges.

This is a very conservative count from Johns Hopkins. Washington U & The Economist suggest they could be 3 & 6 times as many.

As Lambda variant emerges, expect more casualty..

if those numbers are right and I have no reason to question them. That would be a 2% fatality rate.

This is tragic and disappointing to see. Corrupt governments wasted the last 15 months betting they wouldn't see an infectious wave. I am saddened for my brothers and sisters who are perishing.
